Ather and Earth - two beautiful and unique worlds.
Earth was a place populated by purebred humans and a variety of creatures. Many of these humans had the gift of 'familiarity,' or the ability to bond with an animal and use their natural abilities to help them. Humans grew to cherish their familiars, whether they be a dog, a lizard, or a bird, and appreciated the little magic their planet provided them.
Ather was a place full of hybrids and mixed breeds. humans with the blood of dragons, sprites with werewolves and unicorns in their background; they were as diverse as could be. Practically no humans were left with pure lineage. But, with this diversity came monsters bent on going against the rules they had established to maintain peace. A school of sorts was developed to combat these dangerous species and creatures, managing to make everything a little safer for the innocent inhabitants.
Then, the two realities slipped together, creating Ather-Earth. Tensions rose as everyone scrambled to figure out what was going on. Monsters from Ather took the opportunity to attack full force, familiars began turning on the civil creatures of Ather. It took months for it all to calm down. Still, suspicions remain. As part of a program to gain each other's trust, Earth sent willing students to Ather University, where they'd learn about monsters and how to stop them, while also learning things about the other species.

Candytuft is on the tall side of average, a little closer to six feet than Tenebris and Elin like. His hair was originally light brown, but he changes it daily, keeping it in the range of pinks, purples, and pastels for the most part. He has blue-gray eyes and well-tanned skin that shows he's used to being outside. Candytuft wears a lot of button-up shirts, flannels, and jeans. He's a little more concerned about style than the others he hangs around with, but he's so casual about it that most people don't realize.
Personality:
Because of his tanned skin and athletic-inclined appearance, most are surprised to find out he's very involved with technology - the technology of Ather, that is, which is an odd mixture of circuit boards and spells. He practically breathes the stuff. However, he doesn't quite live up to the expectations and rumors. He's not some kind of genius or anything, he just genuinely enjoys learning about it and has done it for a long time. He's also not as sweet as most people think. Actually, he tends to be pretty apathetic towards people in general. Unless he likes you or it benefits him, it's unlikely he'll do anything helpful.

His eyes are a wide, beautiful teal, and freckles are scattered all across his body, especially on his cheeks. His cute features and dorky, ever-present smile remind most people of children. He's spent so much time around Candytuft that the older has rubbed off on him clothing-wise, so he usually favors nice jeans and simple shirts or flannels along with the occasional necklace or bracelet. He also has pierced ears and wears a lot of silver earrings. As a final accessory, he wears either round, black rimmed glasses or the same thing in silver. At first, they seem to be for show, but they're not. Chen is pretty much as blind as a bat if you take his glasses.
Personality:
Chen best described as an innocent soul with a heart of gold. He's sweet and caring, but kind of clueless. He acts sorta similar to a child - full of energy, sunshine, and smiles. Carefree and affectionate. He has little verbal filter, and yet the things he says are never mean or spiteful. It almost like he doesn't have an evil thought in his head. He's adorable, but he can be a bit annoying and doesn't realize it. Candytuft is always there to reel him in, though. The only oddity about his personality is the way he memorizes information easily and can spit it back out when need. It's kinda scary how accurate his memory can be.
Power/Familiar:
No one's quite sure what Chen's ability is. They know he can share memories and ideas, create illusions, and seems to rely on touch to 'refuel.' He also doesn't seem to have much control over it, either, and rarely sets it off on purpose. Other than that, pretty much everyone's at a loss as to what he'll do next.

-Chen has been speaking English for about a year and a half, and still slips into daemoni occasionally. The language is rare, extremely difficult, and basically dead, so Candytuft is the only one who's fluent in the school.

The agreement with Chen is he can stay with Candytuft until they figure out his abilities and origin, but if he messes up or something goes wrong, he doesn't get another chance. Nobody's quite sure what that means, and they don't want to find out.

Nova is quite tall for fae, being about 5’10”, so tall, but not greatly so compared to some others. She’s quite thin, but in a more elegant and refined way, with tanned skin that shimmers and glows slightly in direct light. There are also swirling black and gold lines that start in between her shoulder blades and crawl up her neck and down her arms that shine with a soft pale blueish green when she uses her powers, although not always. She has slightly waved and curly hair, and her eyes are a soft purple. Usually she wears a white, slightly sheer long sleeved top that shows a little of her stomach, shorts, converse with little metal stars attached and a load of jewellery. Six bracelets, a ring, four earrings (one of those ear cuffs on her right ear too) and an anklet, meaning she sort of jingles as she walks.

Despite being graceful and eleven like, Nova is anything but. She speaks like a princess sometimes, but she’s a little clumsy. People often mistake her for the type that don’t care about their grades or think that she’s one of the popular types. She’s not. She’s kind and sometimes cryptic, and a good secret keeper, but can hold grudges longer than a dragon can hoard, and can be quick to judge, making her seem slightly prickly.

Nova has the power of psychokinesis, meaning that she can create and solidify objects, and dismiss them as she sees fit. The nonsolidified objects appear as a blueish green plasma, the same colour as her markings turn when she uses her powers.

Nickname: Zion, Zizi
Age: 16
Species: Atherian (mostly human, but her mother’s side of the family is a mix of many monsters, including harpies and mothmen, who she takes after most.)
Appearance: Zion has short, thick, fluffy hair dyed a metallic silver. Her eyes subtly glow a dark red. She’s very tan, and prefers to wear less clothes than more clothes. From her back sprout a pair of wings very confused with what they’re supposed to look like. With a wingspan of ten feet, they bear a distinct moth shape and coloration, but... they’re covered in feathers. The feathers are a common theme all over, as her body hair is replaced by small, downy feathers.
Personality: Zion is quiet but had a rich inner life. She daydreams all the time, and will make up scenarios in her head for fun. Her schoolwork suffers due to this, and there is talk from the teachers about holding her back a grade.

Nickname: Jax or Ridge.

Species:Atherian, Jax is mainly takes after his fathers side of a dragon with a striking resemblance to the Norwegian Ridgeback (no not harry potter dragon, the real one) there is also his mothers side of mermaid so you can commonly see his skin shining blue-green
Appearance: Jaxson is a little bit too tall for his age. His strong frame matches up with his dragonic features, such as a dragon head, tail, wings, claws and scaly grey skin with a red strip going down the back of his his neck. In all honesty his appearance is freakishly dragonic on a human structure except his blue-green shine when he gets direct sunlight. You would usually see him in a white top with a smiley face on and black trousers, commonly wearing his plain blue jumper. Because of his dragon blood, Jax has bright yellow eyes which match his golden spiral markings on his hands and what looks abit like an arrow on his fore head when he demonstrates his power. He has no hair so his spines and horns are easy to spot.
Personality: Jax isnt shy to come say hi, he just doesnt like attaching to people, from this he is a little antisocial on the conversation side. His keen interest in Techonolgy is going to get him in trouble as he cant stop thinking about a perticular human website. Jax is a big softy once you get to know him, he rarely shows it though. Dont worry, he isnt scowling you but probably judging you. Out of all this the scaly hide that wont break is his troublemaking when Chloes not around...is she behind me?
Power/Familiar: Jaxson has the ability to take control of the small ridgeback in his bag, Claw, commonly using it for trouble. He can see through its eyes and tell it what to do, but the one flaw is that the dragon has to be a metre away to start controlling it, but doesnt matter how far it is after he has taken the wheel.

Appearance: Chloe is medium height with a skinny, ghostly pale frame. Has flakey hazel eyes, what i mean by 'flaky' is that if you stare deep into her eye, the iris flakes around her pupil. Her hair is dark brown in a bob haircut to her chin height. She is quite emo so you would see her in black shirt and trousers with a white hoodie.
Personality:Freakishly friendly towards anyone, but dont get me wrong, you go to much out of place and she goes mad. No one likes a mad human, especially female. She is overprotective over her friends even if she is way younger. Truthfully she is hiding her insecurity, it becomes more obvious over time. Scared silly of spiders.
Power/Familiar:She often hangs round with her wolf familier, Cross. Cross is a dark grey northern wolf with a white birthmark on his shoulder in the shape of an X. He would do anything for Chloe
