Kat jumped over a part of the river, and looked around. "This is
the place...the river holds the border of the humans and they can't
find this place...the forest gets to thick for them to navigate
through"
Lucia smiled sharply. "Sounds promising. At least we won't have
to deal with any more humans for a bit." She said, leaping over
the river. She barely made it to the other side, pulling herself up
and shaking herself.
Kat nodded in agreement, and slowed down. He looked around and
narrowed his eyes as he tried to find the cave he slept in as a
cub, he then spotted it in the distance. "This way!" he said
softly, and ran off to the cave.
Lucia followed, slightly slower paced, sniffing the air cautiously
as she followed him. She approached the cave and looked at it
curiously before stepping in after him, flicking her tail. "I
guess there's no point for humans to come out here."
Kat walked into the cave, and pushed some moss, and a tattered
cloth away from the floor. "Sorry it's a bit of a mess...I never
cleaned it when I left" he said with a sigh. He then got up,
and went to a small pool of water at the back of the cave. "We
should be safe here, and there is prey around here if you want to
hunt"
Lucia shook her head with a small smile. "Are you kidding? It
looks fine." She sat down and turned her head slightly, licking
the scratch on her side. "Prey other than fish?" She asked
playfully.
Kat nodded, "There are some rabbits, and if you're lucky enough,
deer around these parts. You might also find other prey
animals..." he said kindly, and tried to think.
Lucia nodded. "If you want to come you can." She replied
cheerfully, standing and padding outside the cave. She sniffed the
air. The woods were thicker here than it was where they originally
were.
Lucia laughed and stretched, padding around slowly, slipping into
the bushes. This felt more natural than running around towns. She
tilted her head slightly. "Over there," She murmured,
flicking her ears in the direction of a rabbit.
Lucia bent her ears back slightly and with a smirk she pushed
herself out of the bushes and at the rabbit, which immediately
sprang up in attempt to flee. She raised one paw, clawing its side.
The rabbit stumbled and she dove on it, biting down swiftly before
sitting up and licking her paw. "Boop, done. Do you want
it?" She offered the other two.
Lucia nodded with a faint smile. "I've got plenty of energy, and
it's not like I have much else to do. I'll see what else I can
find." She said before vanishing back into the bushes.
