Magda tensed for a few moments before turning and enveloping the woman in a huge warm embrace. "I'm so sorry... If I had a way to fix what happened I would... Damn them... Damn them to an eternity of wandering... I'm sorry Andromeda..." She couldn't understand how someone could do that to another human being, but they were talking of monsters. A monster could do that and more without a second thought.

Fighting the urge to crawl into and curl up in Magda's lap, Andromeda buried her face against her shoulder and hugged the fair skinned woman with all she had. "Everything they do becomes twisted and warped. Max and Jason are good people. I wish there were more of them."

"I wish there were as well, but sadly there aren't. We just have to keep trying to help people see how much better things are when they're nice to others." Andromeda gave her a gentle squeeze, pulling her a little closer to her.

Magda smiled and chuckled softly. "I'm so very glad that I can make you feel that way." She should have thought more about what she said. She started blushing deeply and looked back out the window. She was glad to have made Magda feel safer and better, but, the way it sounded made it seem... Well, she had felt somewhat the same about Andromeda.

Andromeda quieted, watching outside as well. She laid her head back down, simply living in the moment. Sometime later, she fell asleep. She was safe, after all. Magda would look out for her, she was sure. Just as she would look out for her.

Magda remained awake that night, happily and silently enjoying having her arm around Andromeda and she sifted through her thoughts and feelings in the quiet and peaceful night.

Vera returned sometime later, after she had check the house after her drink. She smiled, seeing the girls together. Taking a seat for herself, the goddess settled in to watch.

Magda heard Vera come in and she smiled over at her before glancing down to the woman in her arms. "She had had bad night seeings..." She whispered very softly.

Vera nodded gravely. "So I heard. She is lucky to have such a good friend looking out for her. Life can be hard without those to help guide us in the darkest hours." she replied just as softly.

Magda nodded her head slowly in agreement. Perhaps this is what Vera meant. Andromeda being hers in a relationship sort of way? Did she? She looked down to the woman in her arms and it was as though a light had been shined through her feelings letting her see them clearly. She did. Now she had to find out if Andromeda felt the same.

Vera smiled, seeing the woman work through her feelings. She would not push them. But was happy to watch them grow. She would make the whole family breakfast in the morning. Slowly, the sun rose and people began to wake. That's when Vera let Magda know where she was heading.

Magda spent the night thinking things through, and when Vera let her know her plan, she nodded. Her own plan was to wait for Andromeda to wake up before she moved. Until then she kept watch out the window, glancing down at her once in a while.

Cassie had half shifted in her sleep, and her fuzzy warm arm rested over the girls and was set on Max's side.

Jason murmured softly in his sleep, not waking up, but not forming actual words either.

Andromeda stirred as the sun began to filter in. She blinked sleepily before tilting her head back to look up at Magda. "Oh...I fell asleep...I'm sorry. But it was really peaceful this time. Thank you."

Max was still content to sleep on, his girls tucked into bed with him, home where all three belonged. However, young Hazel had woken. She was petting Cassie's arm, relaxed.

Octavius smiled, listening to him in a half asleep state. He was drowsy but warm and content.

Magda chuckled softly and shook her head. "No need to be sorry. You needed the sleep." She hadn't removed her arm from around Andromeda yet, but would if the woman tried to get up. "I didn't mind it at all," She added with a smile. Perhaps that'd be a hint?

Cassie felt the petting and it gently pulled her from her dreamless rest. She opened her eyes and spotted Hazel awake. She smiled softly, content to just lay there until people needed to get up. Violet was still sleeping quite peacefully.

Jason snortled himself awake and half sat up blinking his eyes open halfway trying to understand what happened. When it hit him he yawned quietly and laid back down.

Andromeda blushed, smiling up at her. "Yeah? Didn't mind me snoozing on your shoulder? I think you are the reason I slept so soundly," she said, ducking her head slightly to hide in Magda's shoulder. She hadn't pulled away and she wouldn't unless Magda wanted to pull away.

Hazel looked up at Cassie, looking startled then guilty. "Oh...did I wake you? I'm sorry..." She said softly, careful not to wake the other two.

"You okay?" Octavius yawned, looking up at Jason when he jerked awake. He wrapped his arms around the man when he had laid back. "I've gotcha."

"I didn't mind at all. She had noted the blush. Perhaps the hint was heard? Magda chuckled again and reached her other arm around to envelop the woman in a hug. "I would be happy to guard your sleep from bad night seeings for as long as we're in company... If you'd like me to..." She was not suggesting that they slept together in that sort of way, just as a protective and comforting way.

Cassie shook her head and moved her head in to nuzzle her little girl, careful not to jostle the bed. "You didn't wake me, you're fine," She whispered.

Jason laughed and threw his arms around Octavius when he could. "I'm okay now!"

Andromeda grinned nodding. "I would really appreciate that. For as long as you would be willing to. I really like you, Magda," she murmured, hugging her back tightly,

Hazel beamed, hugging her mom tightly. "Thank you. I love you."

"Oh good! Sleep well?" He asked, leaning in to kiss him.

Magda was speechless for a few moments, but when she could speak again she said "I really like you as well Andromeda..." and pulled the woman a little closer with the hug.

"I love you too hon," Cassie whispered.

"I did," Jason quite happily kissed him back. "Did you?"

Andromeda couldn't pin why exactly her heart soared when Magda said she liked her. What was this feeling...kind of like when she had her mom but a different kind of affection. Was this how her mother felt when talking of her father?

Hazel smiled, relaxing. She giggled when Max started ticking her cheek. He winked at the two, making sure he didn't disturb Violet.

"I woke to a scream," Octavius admitted. "But after checking on Andromeda to make sure all was well, I slept pretty well. I think it's just the nature of what she, Cassie, and myself have lived through."
