A Dangerous Rebellion
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Private RP → A Dangerous RebellionViolet sniffled as she clung to Hazel. "I just wanna go home..." She had thought that they were going to be slaves again. That they'd be taken away from their mom and dad forever.
Magda looked up at Cassie when she came through the door and she paused a moment, not phased by her appearance, but to bow her head slightly before stepping to the side and pointing out the bathroom to her. She figured that the woman would want to rinse off before going to see her children.
Max had filled two cups with water and offered them to the girls. "Here. Take a few small slips. We'll get you something better when we get home. Your mom is just finishing up here," he said, before kissing the tops of their heads.
Andromeda shook her head. "No need to worry. Or be sorry. We get it. The man was stupid to take children, regardless of their mother. Something tells me he knew you are a wolf shifter. He all but asked for death."
Violet sniffled once more and took one of the cups of water and sipped at it. "Is grandmom and grandad okay?" Her mental voice was quiet and very much like it had been when she first started to use it.
Magdalena saw her smile, and let herself smile even though she wasn't sure of what was being said.
Max smiled, rubbing their backs. "Yes, sweet pea. They are probably sleeping right now, but Uncle Jason and Octavius are watching them. You'll have to watch them though. I bet they are going to give you a great big hug and a shower of kisses when we get home. Think you can handle all those icky kisses?" Max teased lightly, trying to cheer her up and make her smile.
Hazel's lips flicked up and she sipped her own water, slowly.
Violet half smiled at her father being funny, but she did want to go home. She sipped at her water, her small mind busy.
Cassie came out of the bathroom a short while later, her fur all clean, and only a little damp since she'd used some of the towels that were there to dry off. "Thank you for waiting." She smiled at the two women before shifted back into her human shape.
Violet nodded her head wanting to get away from this place. When Cassie came into the room she got up and ran over to bury her face into her mother's shoulder. "Shh, I got you... That man will never hurt you again," Cassie whispered.
Magda followed Cassie and glanced over at Max, her own anger evident in her lack of smile. Why would a man do this to them? They were such nice people.
Max wrapped his arms around Hazel, rubbing her back. "I've got you. You are safe and loved," he murmured. That opened the floodgates. Hazel clung to her dad, crying into his dark colored shirt. "C-Can we go?" She whispered.
Andromeda, who had followed Cassie beside Magdalena, made her way to the kitchen door and opened it. It was time to be off. One of the first steps towards healing. She would ask the whys later.
Violet was still sniffling, but she was held by her mom and that made it a bit better. She looked over to her twin and held her hand out to her.
Magda took the rear and made sure no one came out of the house after them.
Hazel grabbed her twins hand, holding onto her tightly. Tears streamed down her cheeks but their moms singing helped reassure her they would be okay.
Andromeda closed the door before hurrying to walk in front. She would be a barrier for the kids in case anyone came out of the forest to attack them.
Violet's tears continued to fall, but at a slower pace than her twins'.
Magdalena saw nothing, heard nothing, and felt nothing. No one should ever attack children. What that man did was evil. She would not let that stand. If one person would do that to this family, more would do it after. She silently vowed to protect those two little girls until they didn't need her anymore, or until she was sent away. Her expression was practically a glare sent out behind the group.
Max smiled, kissing her forehead. "It's okay, love."
Andromeda brought their horses over before rubbing her hand up Magda's arm. "Kind of intense for a first adventure in a new land. But I think we both have a vested interst in this family."
Violet settled a little further back on Cassie so that Violet could be in front of her. She wanted to hug her sister.
Magda jumped slightly as Andromeda pulled her from her thoughts, but she nodded in response. Her lips taught in a half scowl. "That man was a fool to mess with children. I will make sure it does not happen again."
Hazel hugged him once more before settling on Cassie's back. "Love you. All of you."
Andromeda nodded. "Seeing children be hurt always killed me...that is why I did everything I could to get them out as quickly as I could. Even as a child. I could protect others because no one wanted to risk me having visible bruises. Hidden ones? Ohho...those suckers hurt way worse."
Once Hazel was settled Violet reached forwards and hugged onto her sister, still sniffling softly.
Magda nodded moving over to her horse's side patting his shoulder. "I didn't have to deal with it much since our people have rules that help keep those evils at bay, and I don't have children of my own, but... When it did happen, it was dealt with swiftly." She climbed up and if asked she would explain, but until then, what rested in the past would stay in the past.
Hazel hugged her mothers neck, turning to kiss her sisters cheek. "Thank you..."
Andromeda nodded. "As it should be. This land...it is going to kill itself."
Violet hugged Hazel a bit tighter and held on as they moved back home.
Magdalena nodded and moved her horse up beside Andromeda's so she could help offer stabilization if needed. "I can only hope that I can help in what little way I can."
Hazel hung on, smiling into Cassie's fur.
"That's a good plan. I would like to protect them as well. Both of those girls seem so sweet...and their family is so kind and loving," Andromeda sighed, happily.
About halfway home Violet got herself under control and settled down.
"They are quite sweet. As long as you stay with them I will be keeping an eye on them, but I would like to make sure that is okay with Cassie and Max. I want to respect their wishes, and if they would rather a stranger doesn't watch their children, then that is completely up to them and is honestly a good idea." Magdalena was speaking with a seriousness that made her whole conversation with herself quite amusing.
Hazel fell asleep on Cassie's back, holding on tight.
"I hope they don't mind us staying close," Andromeda agreed. "Even if it is just visiting every now and then."
