A Dangerous Rebellion
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Private RP → A Dangerous Rebellion"I do, Jason, sir. I don't know how well it was shown but I can feel vibrations in the ground when focused. I can be summoned with a series of foot taps, if needed," Octavius explained.
"Wait seriously? That's amazing!" Jason grinned. "Oh, I gotta ask if you like sailing and camping? Those are some of my favorite activities, but my father doesn't let me go without a guard..."
"I have camped when my masters traveled and sailed when they sailed," Octavius answered, not really understanding. He did not have a preference. He was suppose to do as his masters asked and be happy with it.
"Not quite the answer I had meant, I had wanted an answer like you picked your name for what you liked... I was asking which activity you like, if you like to do them." Jason rubbed the back of his head hoping explaining would help.
Octavius blinked, trying to figure out how to fix what he'd done wrong. "I...enjoy being outside. I am closer to the elements. It's calming," he said, speaking honestly.
Jason nodded. "That's good to hear, we'll be spending almost as much time inside as out. For every dull meeting I go to I spend at least a day in nature." He heard the laughter and his attention was drawn to his cousin and his new guard.
Octavius was left speechless, staring at Max like the man had grown a second head. But he kept his mouth shut, not wishing to upset the man. "Nature sounds good," he added, looking over at Jason.
"He really should've been more polite..." Jason sighed and patted his cousin's shoulder. "We should get out of here. Come on Octavius!" He headed out and handed his key off to a guard as they passed.
Octavius followed, picking up the set of daggers and putting them in his baldric before padding after Jason. He walked just behind and to the man's left. His head was on the swivel, looking for any trouble.
Jason had turned his head to talk to Octavius, but not finding him at his side he had to turn further to see him. "What are you doing back there? Come walk beside me..."
Octavius lengthened his strides, catching up to and walking beside him. "Yes, sir. I was guarding, Jason, sir."
"You can stop saying sir after everything Octavius," Jason chuckled. "I get it that you've been trained to do that, but I don't much care for it."
"Yes, Jason," Octavius replied, feeling strange about being so informal but he figured he would get used to it so long as he stayed with Jason. He was different. But maybe in a really good way.
Jason stopped with his cousin, but seeing him grab his cloak he knew the intentions. "Max," He reached over and placed a hand on his shoulder. "You can't rip that, you know how that will look coming home... We'll be heading straight for the healer, they'll wrap her hands when she gets there." He wasn't suggesting that he didn't wrap her hands, but not using his cape was a good idea.
Octavius took a step forward. "My pants. I can cut off some of the leg, if Jason is okay with that." After all, he was still an item and his master needed to sign off on things, at least in his eyes.
Jason was about to repeat himself explaining that they weren't too far from home, but he turned when Octavius spoke. "If you'd be willing to that'd be wonderful, we'll be getting you new pants soon anyways." He smiled. "Thank you Octavius,"
Jason noticed the look from Octavius and smiled. "That was very nice of you to offer up part of your pants for her bandages,"
Jason shrugged assuming Octavius was used to being used like that, but he planned to be kinder than his past owners.
