A Dangerous Rebellion
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Private RP → A Dangerous RebellionJason listened in on the story as he walked.
The red head had been listening intently to the story, trying to imagine anything other then what he had experienced in life. Meeting Max's violet eyes, he nodded. "Completely loyal. Through death and the afterlife."
Max nodded, the turned back to Cassie. "I think you should have been left there. To live peacefully and had a mate and pups. Not dragged out here," he told her softly, looking straight ahead as he talked.
Jason had turned his head to look at Octavius. "Through death? Oh no, when you die you are released. You are to die a free man, to roam whatever world you see fit, or find any family or loved ones..."
Octavius thought about that. So far, only Jason seemed to care about him. "I will keep protecting." He had no family. None that loved or cared for him. He didn't know where else he'd go, either.
Jason nodded. "If that's what you choose to do, then so be it." He cast a short smile at Octavius, but that was short lived as the large wolf moved suddenly. He heard the movement from the other side of the road and turned in time to avoid an arrow that lodged itself in a tree. He always carried a small knife and swiftly drew it.
Jason was somewhat useless in the fight since he was surrounded by the elements, but he did attack and fight any that came at Octavius' back.
Octavius finished the last man before looking to Jason. With his eyes, he seemed to ask if they should go after them.
Jason had taken off after Max mere seconds after he'd ran. He didn't even check to see if Octavius was following.
Octavius followed, catching up in a few seconds. He was on guard, searhing for anything amiss that could hurt Jason.
Jason heard Max's comment and turned to examine Octavius. "Did they put a tracker in you anywhere? That you know of?"
Octavius frowned, reaching to touch his neck. "...I believe so...brands, marks, trackers..." He frowned, trying to remember when or where he was when they'd happened. Too many...so many had happened. He couldn't remember them all. Going silent, he backed into himself, hiding from memories.
"H-hey, you're okay, Octavius, we'll get the trackers out and see what we can do for the marks, okay?" Jason moved a bit closer to make sure he got Octavius' attention. "Come on, let's get you home, alright?" He gently patted the man's shoulder and beckoned him onward back to the road and home.
Octavius looked at him, pushing his turmoil to the side and running on autopilot. If Jason wished to take it out, he would have it taken out. If Jason wished to get rid of his marks, Octavius would sit there silently. His hair was something he would actually voice complaint about. Everything else, he had been successfully made to do as he was told on. They hadn't broken his desire for his hair.
"I mean, again, that's if you want them gone. You know, past pain is best left in the past? New beginning sort of a thing..." Jason rambled for a moment before falling silent.
"I would like a new beginning. The tracker would be nice to take out," Octavius said softly before going silent as well and following the group. He waited for Jason to decide when they got to the gate and Max asked his question.
"Then the tracker will be removed, and you'll start fresh." Jason smiled as he now he had a plan that Octavius was happy with, or at least seemed in favor of. When Max asked his question he nodded. "Sure we'll come along, that way I can show him around a bit,"
Octavius blinked at the retreating woman but didn't say a word. He did look to Jason through, feeling quite glad he had been bought by this man.
Jason chuckled watching Vera take his cousin's guard. "After Vera is done with her we'll see if she can't get rid of that tracker, and any marks you want gone,"
