Cassie laughed as she remembered that game from her childhood, and from the days she'd play with some of the pups. She turned and sped after him just managing to get his foot. "Tag!" She took a deep breath and dove beneath the waves.

Jason was distracted by everything, but caught sight of Octavius motioning to him, so he swam over to check out the pools.

Max raced after her, hoping to catch her before she got too far away. He just missed her and dove after her.

Octavius studied the plant life, fascinated by it. He was a gentle soul trapped in a warriors body and life. His long red hair fanned out behind him, looking octopus like.

Cassie made a sharp turn and swam underneath and past Max before starting to come up for air.

Jason floated nearby and watched him with a happy smile. Octavius was a very good person, and he was very pleased that he could make someone else this happy.

Max hadn't caught that, his eyes closed in his blind grab. Coming up for air, he spotted her back behind him. "Hey you!" He laughed, lunging forward to grab her.

Octavius looked up, meeting Jason's gaze. He pointed up, arching a brow. Should they go up?

Cassie inhaled as fast as she could, but Max was upon her before she could move. She laughed uproariously as he got her. She grabbed hold of him and gently "threw" him as though they were wrestling.

Jason glanced up then nodded as he understood. He then kicked off the bottom to swim up.

Max grinned, happy to play wrestle. Darting forward, he wrapped his arms around her, reaching his legs up to follow suit so he could pin her in the water.

Surfacing, Octavius dropped their 'masks' of air, moving closer to Jason. "What did you think?"

Cassie smirked and shifted growing to almost twice Max's size. She laughed as she kept their heads above the water, but didn't move to get him off of her.

Jason was grinning ear to ear as he nodded. "That was absolutely amazing!" He lunged forwards to hug Octavius. "Thank you."

Max couldn't breathe as he laughed. Dragging air into his lungs as much as he could, he clung to Cassie's back. This was fun.

Octavius let out a startled but happy laugh as he hugged him back. "I'm glad you liked it. You're welcome. Thank you for joining me."

Cassie gently took hold of Max's hands and pulled them off of her and with his hands she gently pulled him around in front of her, a huge smirk still on her muzzle.

"Thank you for taking me!" Jason chuckled before looking over at the other two. "Oh gods..." He then started laughing. "Cousin? Do you want any help there?"

Max raised an eyebrow, curious to see what she did next. He was not afraid. Not with Cassie. She was too bright and good for him to fear her. He squeezed her hands lightly. "Help? I don't think I need any...I think I am right where I should be. What do you think, Cassie?"

Octavius chuckled, smiling as well. "They look like they are going to kiss. Think they will?"

Cassie heard the question from Jason and looked over sticking her much longer canine tongue out at him and turned back to Max as she heard Octavius' question. She was very thankful that she had fur covering her face otherwise she'd be blushing all over. "I think here," She adjusted her grip on him so she could bring him into a big furry hug. "Is better." She slowly shifted back into her human shape as she spoke.

"Oh they might, they might... My cousin has what I lacked with the ladies, I'd always catch at least one of them staring, but me?" Jason chuckled. "I'd get naught more than a passing glance."

Max kept hugging her, his cheeks pink but his smile remained. He couldn't, could he? Not here...or maybe now was perfect. She was here, real and had said his place was in her arms. He didn't think he could keep quiet. Not anymore. "...may I?" He asked, meeting her eye. "Cassiopeia, may I kiss you?"

Octavius frowned. "But you are tbe more attractive one. Why would they pass you over?" He asked before he could stop himself.

When Cassie shifted her cheeks were already red. Her breath caught in her throat as Max asked her the question. It took a moment for it to process, but once it did she didn't hesitate. "Yes," She whispered her response. "Yes, please..."

Jason chuckled trying to keep his usual "smooth" demeanor, but that failed as his face reddened at the compliment. "W-well, I don't really know... I mean, maybe it's my personality that's at fault." He couldn't take his eyes off of Octavius'. They seemed so honest and full of truth.

Max leaned in, moving a hand to the back of her head. His heart was pounding and he knew if he wasn't in the water, his palms would be clammy. Guiding her, he tilted his head down, aligning their mouths before he kissed her. He was slow, soft as he explored.

Octavius shook his head. "No, you have a great, friendly personality too." He was baffled as to why anyone would pass over this wonderful man he had found. Octavius hadn't yet considered that he had a crush on Jason. At least not yet.

All Cassie could hear was her own heartbeat and a bit of the waves on the shore. But both went away as their lips finally met. It was as if time itself had stopped. She had her hands dumbly held midair above his back before part of her senses returned and she let her hands settle on his shoulder blades, holding him close. She hadn't even noticed her eyes having slid shut.

"You think so?" Jason was so flustered but he found that he liked the feeling. Not being the seemingly over confident man he liked to be, but instead, rather what he thought normal people felt like. He wasn't sure exactly what it was, but he knew it was something about Octavius.

Max's world narrowed on her and how she got against him. He wrapped an arm behind her, his hand spraying out on the small of her back. Whispering her name, he brushed his tongue over her lips, seeking to deepen the kiss.

Octavius nodded, reaching out to take Jason's hand. "Yeah, I do. I think you are great. And any woman would be lucky to get your attention...anyone is lucky to have your attention."

Cassie slowly obliged and did her part in deepening their embrace. She was lost in her thoughts as much as she was in his arms. She barely heard him say her name, and she whispered his back.

Jason smiled slightly and firmly took Octavius' hand. He was definitely sure he liked the feeling, and that it was Octavius who did it. "Well, you must be very lucky then, for you have my full attention."

Max pulled back panting for air when he did finally pull back. His mind was blown. That kiss...she was everything. And he wanted no one else. No one else would do. He glanced over at his cousin. A smile tugged at his lips. Giving a low whistle, he called out, "You two should kiss. Then again, you might scortch the ocean I'd you did that." Returning his gaze to Cassie, he smiled wider before kissing her nose. "I am going to make my father so mad."

"I am. I am so lucky," Octavius agreed. Then Max made his comment and Octavius flushed, hiding behind his hair that floated around him. Did...did he really think that? Did he, Octavius like Jay like that?

Cassie opened her eyes as she drew in a breath as they parted. She was still smiling as she watched his eyes. "H-how are you going to do that? Why are you going to do that?" What was he going to do? There were a few things that he could do that she knew of that would anger him, or potentially anger him, but was he? Was he going to suggest what she hoped? Would fate actually be kind and show her yet another kindness?

Jason grinned and chuckled hearing his cousin. "You know what? I think I'd risk it!" He was just retorting at his cousin, but, wait, was he actually considering that? His grin fell a little as he turned and locked eyes with Octavius. Would he actually risk it? Did he actually want to?

"Go for it!" Max shot back, unable to look away from Cassie. "...I'm not marrying for money, or political gain. I want to marry for love. As I hadn't found love yet, I thought I could go along with his plan...then I met you...and after that kiss? No one else is going to ever compare," He explained, still holding her close. He leaned in, resting his forehead against hers. "Is that okay with you? I don't want to replace your mate. I couldn't be the same if I tried. But...I can cherish you. I can love you and look out for you in my own way. Never hiding you...I don't want to hide you..."

Octavius was still blushing, still hiding behind his hair. Kiss? Them? He...he really liked that idea. Was Jason joking? Kidding around with his cousin? That look in his eye...that said otherwise...
