Elvira took a deep breath and winced before letting it out. She'd need some more of those pain meds if she wanted to do anything let alone go on patrols. She grinned as Roxy returned with food. She picked up the OJ and took a few sips. "They said I could be out later today if I was well behaved with the injury and babied it a bit." She sighed as she started on an apple. "I'll be definitely leaving today, but I don't know about the babying of it... Never was good on following instructions..." A devilish smirk tugged at the corner of her lips.

Roxy smiled, shaking her head as she chuckled. "I'll help you make sure you don't overstrain it at home. Not baby you but grab things if you need it or that kind of thing," she said, shrugging. "Do you have classes tonight? Will you get enough sleep before it if you have them?"

Elvira shook her head. "No class tonight, but I left some things there last night, so I'll need to go get those papers and a book from the library." She chuckled envisioning Roxy trying her best to keep her in bed but ending up getting flustered and annoyed as she refused to stay laying down. "Just so you know, I don't play patient very well. Just thought I'd give fair warning."

"That's good! I have no idea how to play nurse. You'd probably be bored and sick of me. We could pick up a movie or something so you don't have to be bored," Roxy suggested. She imagined herself getting off to a terrible start if she actually pushed to play nurse.

"I wouldn't be bored, but a movie sounds great. What would you want to watch?" Elvira finished her apple and took a bite of her muffin accidentally screwing it up and inhaling part of it so she started coughing. She grabbed the OJ and took a sip of that, and it helped. "Ow..." She chuckled. An opportunity just arose. "I'm a bit accident prone, I guess I should've warned you..." She cleared her throat and took another sip.

Roxy looked at her concerned but didn't over react. "Wrong pipe? I'm with you there. I am too. Thankfully, it's more clumsy and less injury but I can and do trip on air more then I care to admit. While you're stuck here, would you like me to pick up your things from class, maybe your laptop, and a change of clothes so you can study and have actual clothes to leave in? I assume your clothes got bloody."

Elvira nodded. "Wrong pipe. You'd be willing to get my things from class? That's not really necessary, and the nurse explained that she'd put my clothes through their washing system. They have their methods of removing blood, but the hole, that's something I'll have to take care of..." She grinned broadly. "Besides, I want to leave with the gown-dress-thing. Souvenir." She laughed.

Roxy downright laughed at that one. "We most definitely don't want to use this one for the jean patches. It's too cool," she said, smiling as she brushed her fingertips over Elvira's sleeve. "And yes, yes I would be. It'll be a help without breathing down your neck."

"And it's comfy," Elvira chuckled then fell silent a moment as she thought. "If you did want to go to the class to grab my stuff by the time you got back I should be cleared to leave... And you don't have to get a movie, I have my laptop and can get movies for free." Though she wouldn't admit it, she really did like the attention from Roxy. She was a very sweet girl, kind and caring too. She only hoped that if anything bad were to happen that she'd be there to help.

"I've got Netflix too," Roxy added, smiling. "I'll come back here and walk you home. You don't know the way back from here, right? I could tell you if you'd like but maybe it'll be good if I walk with you? So that if the stitching tears, someone is there with you?" she offered, starting to gather her purse.

"That's a good idea, I just hope they don't try to take the gown back..." Elvira raised her arms to stretch gently. "I'm sure they'll have something good on Netflix, oh, don't worry about the book, I can get it tomorrow night."

"I'm sure we'll find something to watch, for sure. So just a backpack from class then?" Roxy asked, "I have stuff in the fridge I can make us for dinner or we could cook together. Whatever works. I don't have to work tonight so I can hang out and watch movies and study until we fall asleep."

"Just a backpack." Elvira smiled. "I'm not a great cook, but I'm the best at staying out from underfoot, and I'm good at reading instructions aloud if that'd be any help." She chuckled and slowly started to sit up. "Food aside, I love this plan." She said before taking a slow breath once she'd sat up all the way.

"I do too. How are you doing? Does it hurt bad enough to need some more pain meds?" Roxy asked, looking at her with more concern, but again, doing her best not to overreact or crowd. "Should I send in a nurse as I head out to snag it? What room is your bag in?"

"I'll be given a prescription for some when I leave, and I'm doing fine, just gonna be sore for a while." Elvira smiled at her reassuringly. "If you'd send in a nurse that'd be great, and the bag is in room 19b, unless they put it in lost and found, in which case just look for the bag that has a bunch of duct tape repairs on it."

Chuckling, the blonde nodded. "Will do. I think I saw it as you were leaving yesterday so I have a bit of an idea. Feel better. I'll be back before you know it!" Roxy told her, walking out of the room and alerting a nurse that Elvira might need some help before setting off for the room Elvira had specified.

Elvira talked with the nurse about medications and when to take them and how to clean the wound and what not to do for activities and such, but she was handed her clothes back and she checked with the nurse and she was quite happy to hear that she could keep the gown. She got back into her street clothes and chuckled as she saw the hole in her shirt in the mirror, and then went out into the reception area to wait for Roxy.

Roxy was just popping back in. She had Elvira's backpack swung over her shoulder and smiled when she saw her in the lobby. "Found it! Wasn't too hard. Ready to go? Do we have to pick up a script or we ready to head back to the apartment?" She asked, positively grinning as she spotted the hospital gown. "I see you've got your souvenir. I could see it making a nice nightgown."

Elvira's face practically beamed as she caught sight of Roxy. "Awesome!" She shook her head and patted her pants pocket. "I got it already, and they sent it to a pharmacy a couple blocks away. I can pick that up tomorrow at some point, and yeah, that was my plan for the gown." She chuckled and held her hand out offering for Roxy to take it. She did enjoy it when they held hands on the way to the restaurant, and she sorta hoped they could do it again, but if Roxy wasn't game for it, then no biggie.

Roxy took Elvira's hand without hesitation. She was happy to hold her hand and glad the woman was doing well. "Sounds good. In the meantime, if you can have it, I've got over the counter stuff and a heating pad. I don't know if the heating pad will help or hurt but it's there if you'd like to use it. Sometimes, periods suck. So I keep the heating pad on hand just in case. Ready to head on out?"
