Elvira spotted a little bakery and stopped in front of the darkened windows for a moment planning to stop there at some point tomorrow. She yawned and continued walking, thoughts of the day and the previous night filling her head.

Shaking her head, Roxy finished her route before heading back to her room. She was half tempted to go check on Elvira but decided against it. If Elvira wanted to explore at night, Roxy couldn't really tell her no. So she changed back into her nightgown and crawled into bed.

Elvira finally got back to the apartment and just as silently as she left, she entered and got back onto the couch and quickly fell asleep. As the sunlight came through the windows El was still in deep sleep, though a troubling dream was taking shape. Her face and hands twitched as her heart pounded in her chest, her breathing picked up in pace and she began to develop a cold sweat.

Roxy slept on, her body trapping her into much needed shape. But her heightened senses would wake her if Elvira's nightmare got worse.

"Freak, freak, you don't belong," Elvira was running as fast as she could, but thrown stones fly faster. "What did you do to him? You monster!" She did the one thing you should never do in a dream, she looked over her shoulder. She saw a huge wave of seething shadows racing towards her, and in an instant she was dragged in. She tried to swim to the surface of the black liquid, but she couldn't, she couldn't breathe. She was trying to claw her way out but she wasn't moving at all. Her head was hurting and her lungs were starting to burn and as she was giving up she snapped awake and sat bolt upright gasping for air. A couple beads of sweat ran down her neck and she shivered as she rapidly drew in oxygen.

Roxanne had woken and hurried out of her room, heading for the living room where Elvira's ragged breathing was coming. She had just entered the room when the other woman woke. "Hey, you okay? Are you in pain? A nightmare?" She asked, hurrying to the kitchen and grabbing a glass of water for Elvira.

Elvira jumped as she heard Roxy's voice. It was just a dream. She swung her legs off the couch and let her elbows rest on her knees as she hung her head and hands. "J-just a dream... A bad dream..." She tried to forget the huge wave and the shadows, and in her efforts she was only ingraining it into her mind. She realized she had seen faces in the watery darkness, but she couldn't identify them. Just blank faces.

Roxy kneeled in front of her before pressing the cool cup of water into her hand. "Bad dream? Of what happened? Or was it brought on by shock or the pain meds themselves? Are you alright?" She asked, reaching to gently feel her forehead.

Elvira lifted her face to look at Roxy and she shook her head. "Just my past, everyone has monsters under their bed." She pushed a small smile before taking a sip of the water. "I'm better now, thank you." She closed her eyes and worked to control her breathing. "Oh," She opened her eyes and chuckled slightly. "Story time, last night I woke up to the blanket on me, but I was over heating and wanted to clear my head so I went out for a walk, now I know what you're going to say, that I shouldn't have gone out, but I did, it's in the past, not much we can do about it. Anyways, while I was out I found a good looking bakery and I was wondering if you wanted to come with me to get something for breakfast there." She didn't want to make Roxy worry about her going out, but she also didn't want to lie to her.

Roxy feigned surprise before shrugging. "It's dangerous to go out alone but that bakery is good. And I can't say no to pastries. I'm game." She smiled, going to grab some orange juice. "When do you wanna go?"

Elvira slowly stood up and folded the blanket she was under. "Hmm, say ten minutes? Is that enough time for you to get ready? i just need to shower and change..."

Roxy thought over. She might cheat a little with shapeshifting but it would be fine. "Sure! I'll go get ready." Finishing her glass of juice, Roxanne quickly washed it and set it to dry before making her way to her room to pick out an outfit and change.

Elvira nodded and headed off to her bedroom for her change of clothes and brought them into the bathroom with her. She took a quick shower and slipped into her clean clothes before walking out with about four minutes to spare. She headed back to her room to grab some cash, then she sat on the couch to put on her sneakers and wait.

Setting on a navy blue camisole, a black leather biker jacket, black jeans, and a pair of knee high leather combat style boots, Roxy dressed as she fixed her hair with her powers. Once ready, she grabbed her purse and swaggered back out into the living room with a minute to spare. "Alright. Ready to go if you are."

"I'm ready!" Elvira was just standing from the couch, but she practically sprinted to her room. "One sec!" She had forgotten a coat, no where near as cool as Roxy's, but it was a very comfortable looking old army jacket. "Now I'm ready." She put it on over her black t-shirt which topped her grey jeans. She scooted across the room to get the door for Roxy with an elegant if not extravagant flourish.

The blonde laughed, watching her sprint. Then smiled and curtsied before walking out of the door. "Thank you, milady," she said, looking over the army jacket. "I love that! Is it vintage or a reproduction for market place?" Roxy asked, checking it out. It was certainly one of her favorite looking army jackets.

Elvira shut the door behind her and offered her arm like a gentleman might as they walked. "I," She began to answer but then looked down at it. "I really don't know." She chuckled and smiled at Roxy. "I got it from a dumpster behind a retail store. Maybe when we get back home you could take a look at it and see if you can find out?"

"Hmm, I'll probably get a nice croissant, or maybe a baguette," Elvira hummed as she thought, her mouth already starting to water. "What are you going to get milady?" She liked the nickname, and seeing as Roxy didn't seem to mind it, she planned to continue until told to stop.

"I was thinking either some of their coffee cake or one of their fruit pastries," Roxanne said. "Though, a croissant breakfast sandwich sounds good. Might get some croissants to make some at home this week." Of course she didn't mind the nickname. She very much enjoyed it al.
