"Well it's an uncooked pancake. But uh...if Curse can cook it,
then sure!" If that worked for the Banette, then who was Yin to
argue?
Still, she poured the ready-made pancake mix into a bowl, added
water, and began to mix by hand. "Say, you haven't met the other
guests yet, right? They've been kinda quiet, I'll admit...but it's
also time for them to sleep too I guess! It's been a long day, we
don't usually have so many guests popping up so unexpectedly!"
The Mienfoo stopped her mixing for a moment. "Not that uh, we
expect guests. Actually every guest is kinda unexpected, but...hey,
the more the merrier right!"
[[@All, after this pancake scene is through, Arc 2 will begin. Are
you guys ready for it?]]
"Wait, there are other people here besides Master, You, and I?"
Bane asked curiously. He knew that he had been sleeping a lot, but
if there were people nearby he wished that he had sensed their
presence. ((Yes I`m ready))
"Of course! You don't think that this whoooole mansion is just
the two of us, did you?" Setting aside the mix for a moment, she
went on to spread a bit of butter on a frying pan. "There's the
Mistress, but there's nothing going on with her and the Master.
Nothing but the closest of friendships! Oh and Yang, he's my older
cousin like five times removed or something, but he's practically a
big brother to me. And then there's the other guests that arrived
today, just earlier than you, but I don't know their names. Hmmm,
and there's a bunch of other servants, but they don't really like
to talk to the guests much."
"Oh?" Yin blinked at him, but her hands didn't stop moving. She
poured the make-shift batter into the frying pan, and adjusted the
heat--while still looking at the ghost-type. "Well, now you know. I
guess."
"Very well, if you say so…pretty sure that it's going to be hard to
read in the dark tough." That last part was an assumption,
labyrinths usually equals dark. Well either way he's probably just
going to read trough the book after this before he can't take it
anymore and passes out.
"Oh most certainly sir. Though I'm afraid we haven't many
torches left in the mansion, I might be able to find one." Yang's
mouth twitched into a grim-looking smile, "And if not, then we may
have some fire-work sparklers somewhere... But those have a very
short amount of life as well."
"Hmmm, I talked with an Umbreon earlier, kinda. And then there
was a Sylveon and Lucario at the dinner table. Uhm...I think there
was a Druddigon as well?" She laughed as she flipped the pan,
"There's so many people coming and going, it's hard to remember
their names if I'm to be honest!"
"No? We would be glad if you could stay with us for a time, but
we wouldn't do anything to keep you here!" Yin frowned, turning
down the heat before giving her full attention to the Banette.
"What made you think that? Sir?"
"I just thought it was you know, a mansion where people come to but
very rarely come back, and that I was just some kid exploring here
because I was dared to and I got knocked out by someone and woke up
on that bed." Bane said, " And I will try and stay here as long as
possible."
"Well, this isn't it! Our mansion is strictly just that: a
building." She put her paws on her hips, though she did hesitate.
"But there is that labyrinth downstairs where the basement used to
be, so..." Again, the multiple theories she and the other staff
members have come up with began to pop up. But none of them had the
answers (or did they?) to whatever had been going on in the
mansion.
"You will?" Yin blinked, before remembering about the pancakes and
hurriedly moved to the drawers and cupboards for plates and
cutlery. "I mean, that'd be really nice of you! But don't you have
family or friends that, uh, aren't here-here?"
Honestly, this was getting a but annoying, can't this guy talk to
me with this fancy speak? Whatever…"wait didn't you tell me
not to take it down to the labyrinth?" He just realised the
expression on the mienfoo, is he getting…uncomfortable? Maybe it's
better off to end this conversation soon.
"My family's dead, that's why in my room I hung a picture of them
on the wall! And I don`t really sociallize well with others. So I
don't really have many friends."
"Yes. I would also advise you to not head into the
labyrinth. However it appears to me that you and the other sirs
have made your minds up about going. I will lend you aid, but there
is only so much that I am capable of help without my presence being
there."
"Oh dear. Uhm...if you want, I'll be your friend! Unless you'd
rather be friends with the others heading into the labyrinth. My
day is probably a lot more boring, since I have a lot of chores and
stuff to do up-top here!"
