Flintstar looked up at the deputy. "I-I feel bad about Shadedfur
though. Her sister is so close to kitting as well." She shook her
head. "What have I done?" She worried about Shadedfur. "I only said
those things because I was angry..."
((Foxstep feels sorry for the badger that killed her pft))
Relief washed over the queen and Rosepetal shoved into Snowflank
with a quiet sob. "She is, she is a good cat. She's my best
friend." The queen pulled back and murmured a soft apology.
Through her slightly stuffy nose Rosepetal caught the familiar
scent of her sister. No amount of fragrant berries and flowers
could disguise that particular scent from her. "S-she's close.
Hurry!"
;;pfft can't help but feel sorry for things that got their throats
ripped out lmao
Yes I'm ded
Whooo::
"Don't worry about Shadedfur. Just let her calm down, and she will
return to the clan. She is, by heart, a very loyal cat to her
clan." Foxstep rumbled.
Arrow looked around as she wondered what to do next. She was
smelling new scents and she liked the fresh air. It was obvious to
her that she was on her own for a bit. That was fine with her since
she had been alone for awhile. She scratched behind her left ear as
she felt a tickle. Maybe her clan was just missing and not dead.
She sniffed the air for any more signs of life.

Flintstar nodded. "I believe that. I know she can be a nice cat.
She seems to get angry easily."
Snowflank mumbled. "It's alright, I understand your pain." Her ears
pricked when she heard that Shadedfur was close. "Come on." She
bounded to the many fruits.
The heavy cat wheezed with the effort of her run. Her swollen belly
shook back and forth until she burst through a blueberry bush.
"Shadedfur!" Her mew caused the small she-cat to poke her head
curiously from under her bush. "Rosepetal! What are you doing out
here, you can't be running!"
Shadedfur pulled herself free of the bush, her left leg now held
off the ground. The longer the day went the worse it felt. Her limp
was heavy when she met her panting sister and tried to sooth the
pregnant queen with soft licks to her cheek. "You should go back,
it's not safe to be out here on your own."
"But I'm not alone. Snowflank offered to help me find you, she
wants you to come home too."
The air tickled her nose as the breeze blew from the south. She
sneezed and fell backwards onto the leaves. Upside down and looking
ridiculous with her eyes wide open would have made her clan laugh
at her. Arrow was not this clumsy but she was running on pure
nerves and adrenaline. She figured she needed help and soon. A kit
was not supposed to be outside the nest.

Snowflank rolled through the same bush. She shook out her fur and
gasped when she saw Shadedfur. "Rosepetal was right!" She
exclaimed. "It's my fault she is out here. We were worried."
//Night everyone! I will not close the rp bc I trust yall <3
"Of course she was," Shadedfur answered with a snort. "It's
impossible for me to hide from this cat." She cautiously sniffed
Rosepetal's flank, her ears twitching at the sounds of unborn life
shifting in her sister's womb.
"Come home with us Shadedfur, I'm sure Flintstar would let
you."
"Fruitclan is not my home anymore. I'm not wanted there."
[[remember, choosing a deputy is choosing the next leader of the
clan. killing isn't a part of the warrior code, and ambitious cats
aren't usually good candidates for leadership. Remember Tigerstar,
kits!]]
[[bcuz when it comes to writing a story drama is all that it needs.
doesn't make the story good tho lmao have u seen those horrid
stereotypical fanfictions]]
"You are wanted in the clan. Flintstar was just upset about the
outburst." Snowflank told the she-cat. "Please come back, we need
you." She looked at Rosepetal. "She needs you more than anything."
Streampaw nodded at Whiteleap's judgement on her hunting. She
dropped the vole at her paws and licked her chops. "I guess we can,
but didn't you say we needed strawberries?" Her whiskers twitched
as she asked her mentor the question.
"Well, I did." He mews as he begins walking, leading Streampaw
towards the camp near the strawberry bushes. "Flintstar loves them,
and we need to pick some. They aren't too far away, just through
these trees."
Her ears flicked casually. Her eyes looked up at the sky and around
the area. She took in the sweet scent of the strawberries and
purred, "They smell wonderful!" She said eagerly wanting to get to
the precious fruit.
After Mint ran away, Bird's gaze flickered to Oakshade. "I should
get going, my housefolk will be worried if I'm not back soon.
"Oh, okay then," Oakshade meowed in reply. "You should be more
careful about wandering in the forest though. I'm not sure how
anyone else would react to a kittypet in our territory, but you
seem okay. You say a lot of nonsense, but if it wasn't for the
collar and how well fed you are, you could probably pass as a
loner."
"Thanks, I guess? Well, maybe I'll see you again Oakshade!" Bird
padded off the way she came and Oakshade headed back to camp.
