A broad grin spread across Mattie's face. "Love them. My powers brought along a crazy imagination. We have like half an hour before the next class, I think."

Cam smiled grimly at her question. "You could say our past lives' spirits live inside us. Mattie's technically my sister. And you can read energy signatures? I haven't gotten around to that level yet."

"Well, they basically radiate off of people to me. It's kind of like having a pair of 3d glasses that you can put on that show you heat signatures, except I can see energy, besides my own. That girl walking with your counterpart is like a black-hole of energy. You can see the outline of her energy, but her very presence sucks up energy."

"Eh, my schedule says 45 minutes, so lets go check out the school library!"

Cam unconsciously ran a hand through his hair. He often did it when he was deep in thought. "Mattie's past life wasn't a good person, so that's not surprising at all," He muttered darkly. He then realized he was talking to a girl and was comfortable. His face went red. "And u-uh, that's a pretty cool power, I g-guess."

Cam raised his eyebrows. "Bellatrix did say she wasn't a full life drainer. You could tell all that just by examining her aura? And you've met another life drainer before?"

Mattie and Bellatrix had arrived at the library. At first, it didn't look all that impressive. Then Mattie realized how freaking huge it was. And the books! There were so many even Metis was impressed.
"I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Cross Spellbook is hidden here somewhere," The witch declared.

Cam held himself back from asking what happened to her nurse. From the flash of sadness in her eyes, it was obvious something bad had happened.
"I-I see. The next class is making us demonstrate our powers," Cam tried to veer away from the subject of her nurse. "Bet you five dollars that the classroom will be demolished," he joked.

Walking to her dorm, shade coulden't help but notice that most people in the accadamy where talking to others. Everytime she saw one, a part of her heart chipped away. When she reached her dorm, she looked at the sceduall, and head to the library.

"Ah. Cameron Mikhail Rochester, only living and possibly former heir of the Rochester legacy, at your service," Cam bowed back formally. He straightened and raised his eyebrows. "My dad's made a few deals with your family. I don't think they ever mentioned a daughter."

(Rochesters not as rich as them Brisbanes, but they still have properties all over California, and own a portion of Dublin. only three companies.)

"Seriously? That's horrible," Cam said, his eyes widening. His family may have been wealthy, but they had always managed to take time with him. They hadn't pressured him too much about the family businesses, even when he discovered his powers. He knew his parents like the back of his hand, and to find out Jora rarely ever saw hers...well, it was quite a shock. He had grown thinking all parents were as caring as his.
