TwentyTwenty

Happy New Year

Welcome in a new decade - PokéHeroes has officially entered the year of two-thousand and twenty!

Incredibly much has happened during the last 2375 days since PokéHeroes' release in 2013:
Our website has been visited 2,000,000,000 times;
Our 150,000 players have adopted over 28,000,000 Pokémon;
While playing for over 260,000,000 minutes (that's 500 years!);
... And if you wonder where all that time went: Well, our users have flipped the coin 460,000,000 times!

Now the big question is... what's going to happen in the new decade?

Shadow Johto

Pokémon from the Johto-Region are now available for your Shadow Radar! All you need is the upgrade that is now available at the Item Shop for 100,000 PokéDollar.

Now who's going to be the first to catch a Shadow Ho-Oh?

Meltan

The mysterious Pokémon Meltan can now be obtained regularly! The item that is required to hunt it at the Tall Grass can now be found in Mystery Boxes of any color.
Due to the increasing amount of Summon Items being available in mystery boxes, their probability has now been slightly increased - while the probability of finding berries has been lowered.
Good luck!

New Puzzles

Five new puzzles that have been created in last year's drawing contest are now available! Some of their pieces are available through features that are already known to randomly spawn puzzle pieces - while some have been added to newer features, like the beach.

These beautiful creations have been made by our users Piolla, Hime-Nyan, Tesoro, Tune and -Banette-.

A new Pokémon

Look! A new Pokémon has recently been spotted near the Honey Tree!

It doesn't seem to be so interested in the honey, though. I wonder why it's lurking around there...? Perhaps it's trying to evolve?

The PokéHeroes staff wishes its userbase a happy new year and lots of joy and laughter for the new decade!

11/12/2019:

Due to the increasing amount of available mega-able species, the chances for hatching a mega-able Pokémon have been increased by 10%.
For the same reason, the effect of the Mega Cuff (premium item) has also been adjusted: It now triples your mega chances instead of only doubling them! The price stays the same.

Due to the increasing amount of Dex Reward legendaries, their breeding chances at the daycare have been increased by 30%.

Well, I mean, if you got this far, then I bet nothing will stop you from getting a Meltan and its evolution very very soon... :) I'm sure there be plenty at the GTS in case you don't want to make use of the Black Friday sale.

It's what CatLady says.

The Pokedex completion requires you to own all AVAILAVLE Pokemon. Meltan was technically not yet available during midnight, so it didn't count for those who had already filled their Alolan Dex prior to this update.
I don't see it necessarily as "unfair", I think it's more like a special bonus/reward for those who already put effort into their dex completion before this update.

Summer Time Shaymin 2019

It's finally Summer Time! The summer holidays began for all trainer students of Emera Town and everyone is excited for the beach parties and festivals at the Emera Square.
And there is one Pokémon that especially enjoys the sun and all the flowers of summer:

Shaymin is finally back!
I bet many of you have been waiting for our special Summer Event: The legendary Pokémon, Shaymin, visits Emera Town for the rest of the summer and presents kind-hearted trainers very special gifts.
Shaymin likes seeing trainers interacting with as much Pokémon as possible. So take your berries, warm up your hands and get started!

<img src="http://i.imgur.com/J5XRFnW.png" style="float: left; width: 250px; border: 2px solid; margin: 8px">Meeting Shaymin
The requirement to meet Shaymin is very simple: Interact. Interact a lot!
There is no set interaction requirement - it appears randomly. Maybe after 100 interactions, maybe after 1,000 interactions - or, if you're pretty unlucky, maybe after 100,000 interactions.
When Shaymin wants to meet you, a small icon pops up in your Userbar:
You can't miss it. Shaymin stays there until you claim its gift.
Notice: It's not possible to have multiple Shaymin in your Userbar at the same time. You have to accept Shaymins gift in order to meet it again.

Shaymin's Gift
This year, Shaymin will give you the choice between four different gifts:
A legendary Shaymin Egg, a Gracidea Flower (Forme-change item for Shaymin), a Shaymin Plushie (which has a 20% of being shiny) and a rare Event Pokémon Egg! The decision is up to you!

Higher shiny chance
This year, the chance of hatching a Shiny Shaymin has been drastically increased! I'd be really surprised if there wasn't at least one lucky trainer this year... maybe it's you?

<img src="//staticpokeheroes.com/img/artworks/skygift.png" style="float: right">Sky Gifts
The Sky Gifts are also back!
You can start sending out Skygifts to your friends here. (You can also find this link under the "Community"-Tab)
Three gifts can be bought with a small amount of Pokedollar every day; any further gift costs a few Nuggets.

Shaymin stays until September 7th, 2019.

FAQ:
#1: Does Shaymin break my shiny chain?
Nope.

#2: How many interactions do I have to make?
It's random, please re-read this post carefully if you're still wondering about this.all

07/08/2019:

During last night, PokéHeroes' economy was heavily affected by a small group of users who were massively abusing a bug at the Berrygarden. Basically, they were able to generate an infinite amount of PokéDollars. (The bug has obviously been fixed by now)

A total of 100 Billion PokéDollar was generated and widely distributed (via trades and auctions). Most of the PokéDollars have also been spent on the Daycare and on Egg storage boxes.
Considering that the common wealth before the bug was around 10 Billion PokéDollars, this bug abuse strongly affected the overall economy.
Therefore, following actions, unfortunately, had to be taken:

Who is affected?: Users who made trades with large sums of PokéDollar during 10PM and 5AM this morning.
What has been done?: The PokéDollar stats of these users have been reset to the amount they owned yesterday at 6AM (which was when our last backup was made). The daycare credits and amount of egg storage boxes have been reset for these users as well.

I am deeply sorry about this incident and for everyone who is affected by this now. I hope that you understand, that resetting parts of your account was a really necessary step. I can assure you that we are doing everything we can to prevent this from happening again.

If you feel like you were unfairly affected by this action (i.e. you got the money through fair means and it was now removed), then please send me a Private Message with a detailed description of your situation. Don't worry - I have tons of backups and logs! I will be able to manually re-review every case.
Note that "I got the money as a gift/from a trade" does not count as a "fair means" reason in this case. I am afraid that this money is now lost; since it was black money created through a bug. If you got them via a "fair" trade, then please contact your trade partner and try to sort out the situation.

Thank you for your understanding. I hope we can now continue playing and enjoying this game in a fair and balanced way.

Quote from MetalHeadKendraI feel like this needs to be bent just a bit. What if a mod or staff member sees some very inappropriate behavior, and it hasn't been reported yet? Are they not allowed to act on it?

I think you need to re-read that part of my post:

Quote from RiakoIf they see a user acting out themselves, they report it and then (if they have time right now) handle the report themselves.

They can act like regular users, of course.
I was just pointing out that there job is not to go around and search for violations of the rules.
