I don't think there's need for an argument now – I believe that everything that needed to be said has been said. :) I'll be locking this thread for now. Like I said, please give us time to discuss this issue internally now. If you have any information of relevance which has NOT been stated yet, then shoot me (or any of the mods) a PM.

Thank you for sharing your concerns and opinions, everybody. I would like to use this opportunity to explain the workings “behind the scenes” when situations such as described appear.

First, I would like to make clear that all of us, me, staff, and yes, even you the majority of the users, want the same thing; PokéHeroes to be a child-friendly and safe environment. Disturbing and/or offending minors and others is never our goal and is something we try to avoid and combat as much as possible. Protecting minors against such material is something we can all agree on!

Every situation that is brought to our attention is dealt with according to our rules. Our moderators have done exactly that in this and any previous, similar situations. Something is brought to their attention, the moderators investigate, discuss and decide on the next appropriate action. To my knowledge, the moderators have always acted correctly and professionally.

Unfortunately, sometimes there is a grey area. Something that according to the rules is allowed, but toes the line in such a way that you, the users, feel it should not be. No matter how much we prepare for every possible situation, there will always be more that we didn’t anticipate. Encountering such situations and adjusting to them accordingly is a continuous process. Bringing this to our attention allows the moderators to adjust how to deal with these grey areas(, as an action that was first generally accepted, might not be anymore).

One such possible grey area could be created by personal knowledge; what can be considered inappropriate at all times and what is considered inappropriate based on personal interests, a deeper understanding of the source material. We understand that our rules on PokéHeroes don’t cover every grey area because “inappropriate” is a very broad term, subject to personal ideals.
We will take this opportunity to look over our rules and our internal guidelines on how reports are handled and amend them where necessary. To achieve this, we need your help. If you see content (written or drawn) that could offend or disturb minors or other players, report it. This allows the moderators to check on the situation and take action. Depending on the situation any of the following actions can be taken –
* user is contacted and reminded of the rules
* content is removed
* user is warned
* user is banned

Most importantly, action is always taken with the best interest of everyone in mind. I hope this clears up some of the confusion in the community and answered any questions you might have. Please give us the time to continue discussing such situations internally, allowing future situations to be dealt with more swiftly or even avoided.

I hope that everyone will continue to enjoy playing PokéHeroes!

G'Morning everybody! Apparently there had been a (weird) bug where you were able to claim free Shaymin eggs from the regular Event Distribution page. This bug has now been fixed. All eggs that were obtained through this glitch have been deleted. Eggs that were claimed regularly through the Shaymin random encounter event are unaffected by this.
I apologise for the inconvenience!

Summer Time Shaymin 2021

It's finally Summer Time! The summer holidays began for all trainer students of Emera Town and everyone is excited for the beach parties and festivals at the Emera Square.
And there is one Pokémon that especially enjoys the sun and all the flowers of summer:

Shaymin is finally back!
I bet many of you have been waiting for our special Summer Event: The legendary Pokémon, Shaymin, visits Emera Town for the rest of the summer and presents kind-hearted trainers very special gifts.
Shaymin likes seeing trainers interacting with as much Pokémon as possible. So take your berries, warm up your hands and get started!

<img src="http://i.imgur.com/J5XRFnW.png" style="float: left; width: 250px; border: 2px solid; margin: 8px">Meeting Shaymin
The requirement to meet Shaymin is very simple: Interact. Interact a lot!
There is no set interaction requirement - it appears randomly. Maybe after 100 interactions, maybe after 1,000 interactions - or, if you're pretty unlucky, maybe after 100,000 interactions.
When Shaymin wants to meet you, a small icon pops up in your Userbar:
You can't miss it. Shaymin stays there until you claim its gift.
Notice: It's not possible to have multiple Shaymin in your Userbar at the same time. You have to accept Shaymins gift in order to meet it again.

Shaymin's Gift
This year, Shaymin will give you the choice between four different gifts:
A legendary Shaymin Egg, a Gracidea Flower (Forme-change item for Shaymin), a Shaymin Plushie (which has a 20% of being shiny) and a rare Event Pokémon Egg! The decision is up to you!

Higher shiny chance
The chance of randomly hatching a Shiny Shaymin has been increased yet again this year! I'd be really surprised if there wasn't at least one lucky trainer this year... maybe it's you?

<img src="//staticpokeheroes.com/img/artworks/skygift.png" style="float: right">Sky Gifts
The Sky Gifts are also back!
You can start sending out Skygifts to your friends here.
Three gifts can be bought with a small amount of Pokedollar every day; any further gift costs a fixed amount of 10 Nuggets.

Shaymin stays until August 18th, 2021.

FAQ:
#1: Does Shaymin break my shiny chain?
Nope.

#2: How many interactions do I have to make?
It's random, please re-read this post carefully if you're still wondering about this.

Whether you receive the shiny Mew today (or rather: the odds of receiving shiny Mew) depends on the amount of (shiny) Mew plushies you bought during the last plushie distribution. :) This visual bug does not have any impact on it.

The playground is only accessible by Eevee, so you might not see it on the "Resend"-menu. You need to start a new mission.

Happy 8th birthday,

PokéHeroes!

Oh my! PokéHeroes has been online for over eight years now. Fun fact: All of our users combined have spent 307,184,416 minutes playing PokeHeroes—that's a little over 584 years!!

Royal Tunnel: Split-Decision Path

Explorers of the royal tunnel have discovered a new path: The so-called Split-Decision Path! Rumors have it that there is one out of two new royal eggs waiting at the end of the path... It's a tricky part of the royal tunnel, however, so only experienced trainers are allowed to enter. Everyone who would like to enter must successfully complete the "Pro path" first (and obtain the Registeel egg).

This path has 250 levels and new difficult questions.
After finishing this path and after claiming the royal egg (remember to keep an empty spot in your party!), you unlock the Endless Path. And the Endless Path will then offer the possibility to find both new royal eggs (plus their shiny variants).

New Anniversary Gift

Fun Fact #2: 24 members who've signed up on the very first week of PokéHeroes' online time are still active players. And although no one ever says 'No' to cake, these members are probably starting to get tired of receiving the same anniversary gift each and every year... That's why we added two new gift options!

Let me introduce to you: Cherry and Apple Pienda!
You can claim an anniversary gift after being a member for one full year on the Anniversary Gift page.

Anniversary Event Re-Distribution
Strongly increased shiny chance

Over the past eight years, the Emera Dex has grown rapidly and by now contains 280 different species! Can you name them all? To recap some of our Event highlights, we're hosting a special Event Re-Distribution of some of our all-time classics over the next two weeks. In each of these re-distribution events, you can choose from three different eggs after collecting enough Activity Points.
All of these eggs have a strongly increased shiny chance!

July 1st to July 5th

July 6th to July 10th

July 11th to July 15th

Mew Plushie Event

<img src="//staticpokeheroes.com/img/dw_plushies/0151.png" style="float: right">The legendary Pokémon Mew has returned as a Dream World Event Plushie! It is available until July 18th and can be obtained by fulfilling Dream Point spending goals.
With every Mew Plushie that you obtain, the DP requirement increases. To get the first Mew Plushie, you have to spend at least 500 Dream Points at the DW Shop.
The 5th Mew Plushie that you get is a Shiny Plushie.

Starting on July 19th, everyone who claimed at least one Mew Event Plushie (during this event period) can obtain a Mew Egg at the Ancient Cave! The more Mew Plushies you obtain, the higher your chance is to get a Shiny Mew Egg!

Our moderators are community helpers, thus you can always contact them when you have any questions or problems regarding the site :) Especially when it's a mod-related issue (i.e., a locked thread), they are the one's to contact and they'll surely assist you. As long as you are polite (which definitely seems like you are), you will get the help you are looking for.
The only things that might annoy staff members are unfriendly/impolite requests, like "hey unlock my thread it's not fair".

Quotecan the eggs appear on pages you haven't unlocked yet?

QuoteWill some eggs be on pages that haven't been unlocked yet?

Quotewill the eggs be on the wki page

Quoteis it possible to find an egg on the shadow radar, i really dont want to spend 500k PD for an egg

QuoteJust a question, does the Wiki count as a location?

QuoteIs it possible to not find certain eggs if we have not unlocked the area due to low level or because we have not bought the item?

QuoteCan the eggs be on any of the forms?

QuoteBasically, if I found it on the one of the threads it's gonna be on that specific thread?

QuoteCan the eggs spawn in places like pokeradar, shadow radar, premium settings that people can’t access without buying?

QuoteCan the egg be on the index page?

Quoteok quick question can it be found in emera mall some where cause some things you need levels to acess there

Quotewhat level do you need to be to get all the eggs?

QuoteAlso do we actually need pokeradar for the evnent

And now the most important quote - literally the first post of this thread:

Quote from First PostThe winner eggs have now been hidden on PokéHeroes.
They can be anywhere: In your settings, in town, in the forums*, hidden in old news... everywhere**! Userprofiles are excluded, so don't fall for trolls in 'About Me's!

* If one of your eggs is hidden in a forum thread, then you find the egg in every thread and on every page of it. They are never bound to a specific thread. Therefore if you don't find any egg in this news thread, you will not find an egg in any other forum thread.
** Trainerlevel 15 may be required to access all possible locations. You may also need special items that unlock certain areas, such as the PokéRadar or the Egg Radar. Premium membership is not required.

There will be a special reward for collecting 20 eggs, yes; but it's not clear yet whether this will be a shiny version of our Event Pokémon or something else. We're still working on that and I don't know yet if the alternative idea will be possible. Hence why I didn't make any promises yet. (I'll put "special prize" on the Easter event page for now, to clear up the confusion. Sorry about that)
Personally I don't want to make the prize a shiny, because frankly, the event has become way too easy over the past few years (last year, over 500 users collected all eggs. 1/3 of all Easter Ducklett are shiny) and thus the shiny versions of the event becomes almost worthless. To me, it doesn't feel right to give out a shiny (Event!) Pokémon for something that almost everyone is able to achieve easily (some users report finishing the event in 30 minutes or less). So we're working on an alternative reward which is still more special than the Event Pokémon but not shiny-special. 🙂

Bunnelby's Easter Egg Event

<img src="//staticpokeheroes.com/img/news/easter15.png" style="float: right; margin-top: -44px; margin-left: 12px">
Cute Bunnelby were seen hopping around in Emera Town: They carry fancy colored eggs with them, which they hide carefully in all different spots!
It's Easter Week - and as it's tradition in this town, not only children search for Easter Eggs, but also motivated Pokémon Trainers! As everyone knows, when you collect enough Easter Eggs, you receive a brandnew Event Pokémon!.

Task:
Our great community created 20 beautiful Easter Eggs in an exciting Spriting contest during the last few weeks. The winner eggs have now been hidden on PokéHeroes, and you have to find them (click on them)!
They can be anywhere: In your settings, in town, in the forums*, hidden in old news... everywhere**! Userprofiles are excluded, so don't fall for trolls in 'About Me's!
Just like last year, the locations vary for every trainer. There are over 130 different locations this year - and every trainer has 20 randomly*** selected locations from that pool.
However, the eggs are obviously still static for you in their location. For example, when one of your easter egg locations is the Daycare, it will always stay there until you find it. It will not move around or (dis)appear randomly.

*** To have a fair event, the randomize algorithm considers location difficulties in its calculation. That means that it's not possible for a user to have 15 "easy" locations while someone else has 15 "hard" locations. The algorithm tries to balance the difficulty as best as possible.

This graphic illustrates where the eggs can be hidden on the page: Egg Areas.
They can all be found on small screens, as well as on mobile devices.

Event Prizes:
After finding sixteen eggs, you receive a brandnew Event Pokémon.
It will be possible to claim your rewards on April 5th (and it will remain possible to claim them for two weeks).

<br style="clear: both">

Event Rule:
Even though the locations are random for every player, you are still not allowed to spoil any location anywhere on PokéHeroes! Telling someone where you found an egg will lead to a disqualification from this event.
When you see someone asking for help/hints, do not answer them as you are only risking your own participation in this event!

<div id="redfield">Special Event Rule:
You are not allowed to spoil the Easter Egg Locations to other players!</div>

Enjoy and happy holidays! c:
