Wormholes opened up near Earth, allowing Aliens to come through and take animals back to their worlds to experiment with. The animals that come back out of these wormholes have been dubbed "Astrals" and feature antenna and rings around their tails, as well as a random mix of the animals that the aliens fused together. The Astrals also have a superior level of intelligence to that of a normal animal and may even gain the ability to communicate through telepathy with humans. His parents were alcoholics/drug users. He grew up with little stability. His parents were both hostile towards one another and him. They often couldn't afford any means of living. Axel resorted to stealing from a very young age as a means to survive. It wasn't uncommon for Axel to get into fights with others over petty qualms. It wasn't long before he was expelled from school at the age of 14. This led to a massive fight with his father. They nearly fought to the death, so Axel ran away. He snuck onto the cargo train and rode down to Maltone. The atmosphere in this town is peaceful. Unfortunately for them, Axel brought old habits with him. He caused havoc but managed to get away with his wrong doing by his cunning and framing others for his wrong doing. While on a run to steal food from a local market, he met a Mienfoo about his age, her name was Hanako. Hanako also lived in poverty and had a difficult time finding food. Axel offered assistance and quickly connected with Hanako. The two of them spent years together, surviving. Over these years Axel developed deep feelings for her that he was never brave enough to admit. One day while going to meet Hanako, she never showed up. She didn't show the next day, or the next. She seemingly just disappeared. Worried, Axel went to investigate their home. To his surprise, it was being sold. This made no sense, as their family didn't seem as if they could just up and move on a whim. Nevertheless, there was nothing Axel could do at this point. He moved on. Heartbroken, he decided to start traveling town to town. Part of him wishing he'd find Hanako again. Personality: Cynical. Ages 7-14 - Sylvi, who looked up to her father at the time, became highly invested in his work. She'd often sneak with him to the mines. At first, her father tried to stop her. Eventually, he accepted it and taught her the trade. She learned fast, and became interested in engineering. Starting with small trinkets and moving up to working motors, she became an expert by the age of 12. The town of Mosfell began construction on a new train, meant to hold passengers. The only other train on the island was Frosthaven's cargo train. During construction, Sylvie was invited to join the team due to her extended knowledge. She worked as head mechanic. Once finished, the train was named after her. Age 14 - Her mother got sick with a rare virus known as Cut Plague. This plague thrives in cold weather. It attacks one's immune system. This usually means 3 days to live. Her father's boss offered to Loan money to help pay for medical expenses. This kept her mother comfortable until she eventually passed. After the death of her mother, her father couldn't keep up with medical bills. He made a deal with his boss to sell Sylvi to the mines. This paid off the debt, but Sylvie is now owned by her father's boss. Wracked with guilt, her father fled town. Never to be seen again. Age 16 - Sylvie has now worked full time in the mines for two years. She was forced into the home of her new owners, Thorir Evarsson (Incineroar) and his wife Isgerd (Florges, White FLower). Personality: Bullheaded. Due to her history as a minor/mechanic, she's tough and rugged. She's quick to fight back when told what to do by others. The front page has been updated! Wanted to post some more information since at the time of original post, i had no good or bad ideas for front page. More will be added in due time, if any good (or bad) ideas do show up After intense brainstorming, it's been decided that from here on, the format of this diary will be organised where entire day's updates will be posted in one post per day. All updates on topics I'd wish to share will be posted with segregation of different categories of topics. New post will pop up few minutes/hours before or after reset, depending on my availability. This would make it more diary-like and would make things easier to comprehend and readable and would save time on posting instead of slapping posts randomly. [Backstory] Kiase was raised by parents who were gamblers, they spent basically all the money they had on gambling and went heavily into debt. Therefore, Kiase was homeschooled poorly, his parents weren’t smart or good at academics and nor did they care, so in the end, Kiase went to books that taught him everything. He matured much earlier than other children, especially since his parents suicided, because the Loan sharks came after them. After being orphaned, Kiase was sent to an orphanage, where other children like him were unlike him, they were much more lively and actually played with each other, unlike Kiase who sat in a corner doing nothing or reading. One day however, the Loan sharks then found the orphanage around three years later, they burnt it down and kidnapped the child whose parents owed them money. Kiase was then forced to do jobs for them, whether it be illegal or not for a sixteen year old. This continued for four years and all his parents’ debt as paid off, so Kiase left and here he is now, the government didn’t care, the government never cared. His surname was change twice, once after he got taken by the Loan sharks and once again after he finished working for them. Buried in the dirt, Sumi hummed nonchalantly as he observed the milling pokemon before him. Opening his mouth to let out a yawn, he lazily wondered where he could go to next for a nice nap. The dirt in the ceremonial grounds wasn't very good, much too dry and full of worries to be anything comfortable. Ah, be recently, all the good mud spots have been drying up, even the ones by the raging river Bank that always threatened to pull even the most experienced of swimmers under the currents. Sumi liked it when things were nice and relaxed, where the biggest problem he had to deal with were hatchings who had stepped on a thorn accidentally. Lets say you are trying to start a Shiny Mega hunt, bid on something rather valuable, or REALLY want to make an offer on a trade, but you're short on cash. By the time you get the cash, someone else would have surely already claimed the trade or bid on the auction. What will you do? Luckily that is no longer a concern, as you can take out a pd Loan at my humble lil Bank! But before we get ahead of ourselves, there are some rules that need to be followed. This Bank only lends Pokedollars and you can’t ask for more pd than I currently have. Secondly, you will need to give me some form of collateral roughly equal to the value of the Loan you are taking out until you pay back your Loan. This collateral can take the form of Pokémon, items, or nuggets. I will also give you a time frame to pay back your Loan. If you have not paid the full amount back by then, you will have to pay a 5% interest which compounds weekly alongside the remaining balance. Plants and benches are scattered around the main landmark of the city Stores - A choice selection of stores circle the fountain, the main life of the plaza. From restaurants to boutiques, there's a store for everyone that can be found in the Plaza Library - the main city library can be found in the plaza. All students can Loan books and other resources here. Residential Area - Above the stores, there is an option for students to live in the idyllic apartments that overlook the heart of the city Hospital - Located closest to the west, it rarely sees any usage because of the low rate of illness and injuries that Rakua City sports yet has some of the best technology available. Of course horror stories and urban legends exist that surrounds the building but overall its nothing but the ideal hospital North Campus Officially known as Rakua Community College, the North Campus is bare none the largest of all the campuses in the city. It accepts students of all ages into its institution. Courtyard - The courtyard is a large green space that students can grow personal projects on if they so wish. It is carefully maintained by the Student Council and has easily accessible footpaths into the nearby forest. Main Campus - Filled with Classrooms for the 1st and 2nd Years, it is a place where anything can be taught. Home Ec., Shop, Labs, everything that can be taught is offered and there is a room specifically for that, all located within the various buildings that form the campus. Side Campus - Specifically hosting 3rd Year courses, this side campus also holds the club rooms for the various clubs that the community college funds Dorms - Students who don't have a residence in the City proper are offered free room and board on Campus grounds where a complementary breakfast and room cleaning service is offered for everyone Gym - Behind the school is a gym outfitted for every sport conceivable. From winter sports arenas, wide open atriums for competitions, olympic sized swim areas, everything that one would use is available with enough space for the student body to play with East Campus Rakua High School is located just a stones throw away from the main city centre, accepting students from the ages of 12 to 18. Community Gardens - East Campus boasts the largest community garden in the city, with enough plots of land for it to be classified as farm land. There, sutdents can personally grow things though the land is owned by the city and thus is used for food production on a small scale School Building - A three story building where the first and second floor are dedeicated to first year classes and the third floor to second and third year courses. It is quite large, but still isn't as large as the college campuses Dorms - For those who want a taste of independent living, students have a choice to live on campus with complementry breakfast, cleaning services, as well as a weekly option for chores to be done by hired hands. South Campus Rakua Childcare Centre is located on the south of the city, with Rakua Elementary as its neighbour. Individually, both facilities are quite small but do take up the second most square footage due to the sheer amount of outdoor facilities Playground - The entirety of the Campus is in essence, one large play area. A large retractable umbrella serves as its focal point with classroom materials scattered about with plenty of play items to be found Aquarium - Connecting to the residential area, the Aquarium holds all sorts of animals, even ones that you have never seen before. And its always expanding, its displays different each time you visit Residential Accommodations To the west of the Main Plaza is an area dedicated to housing and other such amenities. From townhouses, lane-way houses, apartments, and condos to mansions and other such delights, there is no shortage of accommodations for families of all sizes Institute of Infinity Located within the forest by North Campus, this is effectively the political centre for the city, where all the big decisions are made. This is the one part of the city that can not be directly accessible through the Main Plaza Student Council Office - On the first floor, behind grand mahogany double doors, lies the Student Council Office. It is where the Council will audit any complaints, recommendations, and concerns that the community has. Office Spaces - Scattered around the first floor are the various offices of each Student Council Member, a personalized space for each of them to work in Communal Break Room - Somewhere in the Institute, it is rumoured that there is a break room and in that room holds a cupboard that will never empty of delicious sweets. I wonder if that's true Archives - The entirety of the second to fourth floor is the Institute Archives, kept by the Secretary and the President. No one else has the keys but them, not even the Vice-President Fifth Floor - A floor only accessible to the President. No one really knows whats kept there Roof - There's a rumour floating around that at midnight, if you enter the Institute, a sixth floor will appear where the roof is. On the contrary, there is another rumour that at midnight, above the trees, one can see a lone figure standing on top of the roof before falling off of it only to disappear before it even hits the ground. Nature Points Located on a unique natural collision of three different biomes, Rakua City has many natural wonders to offer Grand Forest - The forest lies flush against the city, enveloping parts of it in its lush deciduous trees. Wildlife has long since adapted to living with other humans and are quite friendly with a wide range of flora to be found growing within. Clear trails have been marked out and wandering off them is discouraged but even if you do, you'll soon find a trail anyways. Sailors Wharf- The westernmost side of the Residential Accommodations lie a flight of stairs that leads down to a beach. This beach offers various amenities such as a swimming area, boardwalk, and boat rentals. Every morning, there is a fisherman's market that occurs, selling high quality fish caught of Rakua's coast. The high variety of fish seems almost impossible but the presence of the market speaks otherwise. Mountain Trails - On the East lies a gorgeous mountain range that protects the city from harsh weather, keeping everything mild. Trails of all types ranging from simple walks to challenging hikes litter the mountains, offering spectacular views and a chance for citizens to see the great outdoors Of course these are only the major landmarks! Feel free to explore the glorious city and find out for yourself the wonders that Rakua City offers! After school at 4:00, me and Budew head to Creamies. It was a trendy spot for young people. It sold things from ice cream to coffee. I could recognize a few people from our school. We sat in a booth. The whole shop was like a light beige and pink. Across the booth, were the ice cream displays managed by a family of Alcreamies. The store was a two-story place that had a house on top. The family probably lived upstairs. There was a Clefairy named Taffy, he was usually not at the front, probably in the Manager's Office. There was an Alcreamie named Rosie, she was good friends with Prof. Rowan. She had 7 Alcreamies, Stella being the youngest who was 19. Stella came over and asked us for our order. Budew ordered an ice cream sandwich and I ordered iced chocolate. I took out my phone and put on my earphones. Budew pulled out her whole laptop and quickly typed something. I leaned over to her side to see what she was typing. She was texting Buderew. I snorted. She frowned at me and switched the tab. I raise my eyebrows. "You text Budewrew? I thought you thought he was annoying?" She rolls her eyes. "Number one, stop looking at everything I do. Number two, he started texting ME first. What was I supposed to do?" She says. "Not accept his friend request?" I said. Stella came over and brought us our order. She smiled. "Hello Lily and Budew, how are you doing?" "Great, How is your family, do you come here often?" I asked. "No, not often, only on Fridays, I have a lot of Kiddos at home waiting with my husband," "Wow, how are they?" "Celestial is great, the bad thing is that he's been married before so he has other children, they don't like me much but his ex-wife is very kind. My children are good as well, a little noisy," "Must be great to have a family so early," Budew said. Stella smiled. "Great and chaotic, when you get to my age, focus on your studies more, then you don't need to work at your parents' shop part-time!" I know she was joking but there was a sad truth to that. Stella left and cleared out plates from another table. Budew then went to go use the washroom. I sat on the cushy seats, then I put on a Marnee Malentis song. I took small sips of my Iced Chocolate, the real reason we came here was to talk about Budew's business. Budew thought it wasn't good enough, so I even brought my laptop to work on a website with her. She was gonna pay me 50 Pokedollar, which was great. At the orphanage, you only got money on your birthday. The older you get the more you receive. I have about 1600 Pokedollar stored in my Emera Bank(Kids) account. Once I turn 17, I can use them. I also do part-time jobs on Wednesdays, Fridays, and on the weekends. The store bell rang, and Rosie's eldest daughter, Muffin answered the door and welcomed them in. I leaned over to see Gwyneth come into the store. She had her hair down and was wearing pink this time. She sat down at the furthest corner from the door and read the menu. Of course, Winnie was gonna be here. I overheard her talking to her new best friend(Petunia) about going on a date with Scott at Creamies after school on Fridays. A few minutes later the door rang again and it was Scott. He rushed past my table and dropped his phone. He didn't seem to notice as he was too busy saying hello to Winnie. I carefully picked up his phone and softly walked to the table. They looked at me and Winnie grinned. "HI LILY!" She gushed. She then grabbed me and brought me face-to-face with Scott. "This is my boyfriend, Scott say hello to Lily!". I found that stupid since we were all in the same class. He stuck out his hand. "Hello Lily, it's nice to meet you," I put his phone in his hand and bowed my head instead. "Nice to meet you as well.." We awkwardly just stood there until Budew came out to save me. She rushed forward and smiled. "Hi guys, it's funny that we met here but I must steal Lily,". I was in awe, she saved me politely. Winnie smiled. "Of course, see you guys later!" She dragged my dumbfounded self to our table. "You. Stupid. Idiot." She whispered slapping my hand. "I was giving Scott his phone back because he dropped it!" I cried. "When did you care about Scott?!" She countered. I was caught off guard. "If someone drops their belonging, the normal Pokemon would give it back?!"
