you realize these are just a virtual gift that only has the intentions on being a small present to say good job... I do not support this for that reason. it's a gift, you should be happy people send them to you...

@ CarpetMonster - That is a very good point. I know a lot of users care about the messages they recieve. Yes, gifts are supposed to have thought behind them.

@ Navuso - Yeah, I often like to return a plushie to users who send me one, but I do not return Magikarps either.

@ Gastrodon - LoL, a little over dramatic scenario. We could have the messages in our notifications or in our Gift Log, not necessarily as a popup that you might accidentally click decline on. Or perhaps there could be an icon that flashes much like when we have a new palpad notification. Whichever option would work best for all users.

@ Aphotic - Yes, gifts are supposed to have thought behind them however I have had people purposefully send a bunch of Magikarp plushies just to spite me because I said I do not want them. That is not a gift, that is harassment.

I still don't support for reasons stated. The meaningful messages, or a noob who can only afford magikarp sending you one because they want to say they like you....

You know, people are probably spamming you because you react like this. I collect certain plushies, and have never actually been karp spammed because I don't overreact like this. I don't bring attention to the fact that I dislike magikarp plushies, and .... oooh, no spam.


Blocking plushies would also take a bit of work. Because a profile vs. a shop is different. We don't gift plushies directly on the profile, so riako would have to do some funky coding (i think) in order for your personal choices to pop up in the shop. (even if it is a pop up when you click "Send")

I only started making it known that I did not want a certain plushie after I had already been spammed them a couple times, so no, that is just people being gerks on here.
There are still 10dp plushies people could send, just takes a small amount of time more to collect for the lower levels.

As for coding, that would be for Raiko and any coders he has to figure out how tough or simple the coding itself would be.

I like it. If someone's favorite animal is a cat and they are scared of dogs, they want skitty, not houndoom. While I dont have this issue, it would be helpful for some users.

Maybe then the solution to this isn't blocking gifts, but putting your favorites in a display case of some sort instead of the most recent gifts being forward. Maybe 10 or so plushies by their sprite in a little box, or something that gets its own page. That way your favorites don't go away from your page, no one who may have meant something good by "spamming" you will get offended, and everyone's happy.

The whole problem that irks me is:
Unless you keep on top of it, or unless you spend money, it's not incredibly easy for newer players to get DP in amounts big enough for a "good" plushy. The only way they may be able to repay you or say hi may be a couple "bad" plushies.
I honestly never understood poke-hate. Admit it, if you saw any one single pokemon (even bidoof or magikarp) in real life you would freak. All of the plushies are equally adorable and all of them could mean something. So I don't support this, for reasons already stated and my own.

Sometimes I get a plushie sent to me with a meaningful message, and when someone decides to spam me with 50 magikarps and no message I lose that original message! And I always get sent plushies that I already have, which I really don't need right now.

Would something like This work? I mean, outright banning them still seems completely ridiculous. As I say in that thread, a lot of the plushies would be made obsolete, useless. Everyone would block the lowest costing ones.

I Support. There should be a blocking option for just about everything because of people trolling. And if there's a message from a gift you want erased maybe because it had a rude/offensive nature to it then why shouldn't we be allowed to delete the gifts & just return the DP spent on it back to the player to sent the gift. I see this as completely okay & should be added.

Honestly I'm one of the few I'd rather everyone just leave me alone. If i could I'd block/delete everyone that visited my page because for me there not needed, just like I'm not needed for others.

Sorry but no support.
Users collect DP for a VERY long time to gift somebody plushies (Like I did during the Mew Plushie Distribution). Also, as somebody said, people will block all 20 and under DP plushies, which are the most bought ones. That would make it so almost no people can actually buy plushies anymore. A Magikarp spam doesn't affect actual gameplay (Unless Riako made your plushies turn into actual Pokémon. But that's another suggestion.)
Yeah. That's all the problems in a nutshell.
