I think you're right that f*g used to mean something completely different, but then so does gay. It freaking means 'happy', how did it come to be a term for people who are attracted to the same gender? And then to being weak or feminine subsequently? The transfer of meaning in language is a complete free-for-all, but that's off topic.
It's just the fact that our society has corrupted these words because they can't stand someone being different or against what they believe the world should be that annoys me.

Even replacing it with a different word like "That's so stupid" is still wrong

Reason for joining: Because this is honestly what Pokeheroes needs. I have seen too much damn homophobia around here and it's disgusting. Everyone needs a place where they can be accepted. I have even had my own relationship SHOT DOWN because it was a lesbian online relationship.

When people say/call me or my friends f*gs it really makes my blood boil and I especially hate it when people use it as an insult to someone. (Specifically ignorant straight guys to other ignorant straight guys.)

Anyway like I honestly don't mind the word gay being used as homosexual since it can imply that homosexuals are happy to have their relationships, but I was shocked by the general negativity of views on homosexuality when I went to this church conference my friend dragged me to.

honestly it's p hard to offend me when it comes to homosexual slurs bc i actually grew up hearing them used as jokey terms before i even knew I was gay so like, the F word and 'X is so gay' doesnt affect me negatively at all bc I just can't take offence bc of how i grew up uwu;;
but my boyfriend hates the F word so i gotta start getting used to not bringing it up ever |D;

Reason for joining: Because why not? Everyone needs some love and even though I tend to be neutral with the subject, I don't hate anyone because I grew up not hating the community and I have family members that are part of the community in which I love them for who they are.

Sexuality: Homosexual. Though sometimes I feel like I'm a homoromantic asexual. I'm still figuring stuff out and I'm in no hurry to put labels on myself, I'm just me and words are just words. In the end, all those fancy words and labels are too much of a hassle so I just go with "I'm gay" if someone asks.
Reason for joining: To be honest, I'm kinda of wary about this. As far as I've heard, these kind of 'clubs' don't usually end well in online message boards. I'm more than willing to give this a chance though and hopefully everything goes as planned.
