No Support!
Sorry but there are people who enjoys screamers and glitchy colors , i use them to break my vision every day! If there is screamer or something that like you said "could cause death" then people should warn others first but lets be serious , if you have seizure you should not click links at all and in the end the fault is on your side becouse you were the one who clicked on link , people who post links usually dont think "Oh , but what if someone clicks this and then die ?" Or just lower the light or put folie on your notebook/phone so you will see black and white like my father did .

Just because you click a link, does not ultimately mean it is your fault, that you caused your own seizure over a link.

Yeah, sure, if there is a clear "HEY IF YOU CLICK THIS IT'S SUPER FLASHY!!111" message associated with the link, then sure, it would be your responsibility to not click the link, but there are many, many people whom have, in the past, posted links NOT stating what the link is, or straight out lying ( back when this was relevant and happening on a constant basis for a few weeks at a time) and saying it wasn't a flashy/screamer, but it was. THAT is not the viewers fault, that solely lies on whomever posted the link, because they were being malicious.

If we're going to have rules about swearing/graphic content to protect children from seeing things/hearing things they shouldn't, there is no reason why there cannot be a rule that stops people from linking to things that may make those same children/adults physically ill.

Honestly, I support.
It should be common sense to not post stuff like that, if you are, you're just being incredibly rude & inconsiderate, and will have people very much dislike you on this site, because of what you think is a silly link that won't cause harm.
I get migraines from flashing images, I do my part in checking links before I click them, everyone should as well, but sometimes, they don't, and they should not be blamed for that.

i totally agree with Girafarig...

how do we need this kind of things on a childfriendly site? why do we need to scare people like that, even if some of us may have photosensitive epilepsy? should all people with seizures just stay away from the internet cause some people think its funny to annoy with screamers and flashy stuff on sites which look safe?

there are tons of other clearly marked sites in the internet where you can post screamers, troll and have fun with stuff like that.

some arguments are the same like "you clicked the link, now you need to pay 100 dollar for clicking it to our company!" how to be aware about that? if pokeheroes is a childfriendly and considerately site, doesn't this include also the links?

its ironic to tell people just not to click things on a clicking site...this is all about clicking and you should be safe while doing it...

I couldn't agree more with what Girafarig and Oktopi said. To add, enjoying something, anything, is okay, as long as it doesn't harm or effect others(or oneself, in some cases), and in this case, it clearly harm other users due to how inconsiderate people are.

As a person with anxiety, screamers or malicious websites that contains related content makes me crawl up into a ball and cry, literally, I'm not even exaggerating. Some of them even have sounds that blast from the speakers and tell me tell you, that one day I'm listening to some calm trap song on high volume with my headphones on, browsing on a discussion forum, then clicked on a link on a music suggestion thread, it turned out to be a screamer website that locks your mouse for a few seconds with a screeching sounds and flashing images. That day was the first time I bit my tounge, made it bled and injured it so bad that I couldn't speak properly for two days.

It's not fun, it's not amusing, it's harmful and unfunny. When you post any kind of links to these websites, question yourself and know that you're doing a conscious decision to 'troll' others by linking them to such website possibly without a warning as to what it is.

April Fools day is coming up in a few(2) months and I bet, some users will think it's so great to prank others by linking to these websites. We need this.

I remember voting in support of this when the thread was first posted. this isn't an official thing already? it really really should be, for reasons other users have stated and re-stated throughout this thread.

remember rick-rolling? yeah. sometimes there's no way to tell what a link really is.

as yet another person with issues that are triggered by screamers/jumpscares/other unexpected things I absolutely, irrevocably place 100% of my full support behind this specific rule being implemented. :')

I support

I am not the kind of person that enjoys loud noises(or repetitive noises), And I think this would be incredibly helpful.

I promise to do all in my power to see us through this safely

Bump, also, shouldn't this apply to showing clips of jumpscares or screamers in forum posts too? If you ask me it should. Sorry FNAF and Tattletail fans, but the health of other users on this site is more important than your amusement.

Reasons for Support;
1) Health Reasons previously stated.
2) Just because some people may like it doesn't mean other people do or that it's appropriate. (E.g. Graphic, Mature, ect content of which are also currently banned but other people may like them)
QuoteTo ensure this, it is forbidden to use offensive swear words or to make any statement that is inappropriate for any age, or to provide links to any material [e.g, images, videos, audio] that contains inappropriate content and/or language. It is likewise forbidden to deliberately cause trouble or to discriminate other users in any way

3) Per above bolded, there's literally no other reason to post a Screamer/Jump Scare other than to deliberately cause trouble or incite negative reactions from other players.

Support to a point. Screamers should be allowed.. if clearly stated by the user. i.e. "Don't click this link! (Contains jumpscares)"

This makes sure people who want to be shocked experience the shock and people who don't want to aren't.

I thought there was already a "Be cautious about links" policy. But still if it has content that could harm someone a spoiler warning could be used with the links. Perhaps and redirect page or an "Are you sure?" Pop up.

Supported though~

I get the epilepsy part and you and other people having seizures. But PH has already become a place with butthurt people... You can't say anything to anyone cause it might offend them and even if you report people for this it won't do anything. These people are not breaking rules, instead of just blocking such feeds on the whole website, people could select an option where only they don't have to see such links. I enjoy a good scare and I don't have epilepsy so this doesn't matter to me. But I don't mind the people who post such links either. You could have them write a warning such as:"Warning:People with epilepsy, Do Not Watch".

I am sorry if you are offended by this but I would appreciate it if instead of banning them on the whole website you could request where only you don't have to see them and the people who post them can continue posting them. BTW instead of directly reporting people who post such links you should talk to them about your problem and if they still don't listen. Simply block them.

I see why people are saying "Just put a warning like 'people with epilepsy dont click this'" but I myself dont have epilepsy but if a bright light happens, I can get a migraine! These are quite painful, cause me to throw up, and force me to have to go to the ER for the day! I remember when Pokehereos had a popular link to send, it wasn't quite scary (to me at least!), where a lightning flash would happen, the grim reaper would laugh, and something like "I have your soul now! (Chosen username) has stolen # of souls!" and like EVERY feed would have this!
Even before I had migraines, I was very easily scared by EVERYTHING.
Even if the rule isn't fully implemented (a no screamers rule) a rule where you are REQUIRED to put the warning at least would be good.

Bringing this back because it's very important

Also, to the people who are saying "Some people like screamers" it's disgusting how those people are willing to let health risks stay on this site. People who don't support this should be ashamed of themselves.

Full support

Like what other people stated, at least there should be a rule that you have to add a jumpscare/seizure warning
As seen on this thread, a lot of people have health issues that are triggered by these jumpscares

Jumpscares aren't as common on PH nowadays, but it's still important
