Jolyne was first bemused, but when Ronno grew bolder at the face of his utter failure, and started talking about the little scissors in his handbag, Jolyne started expressing her botherment with electricity. But now, all the pins and little shocks were forgotten about. At the face of what remained of Viridian Forest, all that remained in Ronnos's mind was a heavy cocktail of curiosity and dread, one that Ronno knows led to bad ideas. Slowly, as if he knew that he is making a mistake, but was determined to do it anyway, he went over to kneel next to Tao, and dragged a well-manicured finger through the crater's raggedy surface. His finger came off covered in ash, and Ronno with zero hesitance immediately proceeded to lick it. It didn't taste paranormal, so there was that. Some balm, for his weary soul. "It was the weedle infestation, of course. Gobbled up all the foliage, and then their sires.. liquified the earth, I suppose? Flesh, soil, what is the difference in the end. A issue of overcrowding, nothing more, nothing else..." Even to him, that sounded just a tad dubious but.. Ronno would like to hope. He knew how to deal with ghosts, and the inevitable Doomsday too. Atleast, he trusted himself to figure it all out when it got to it. But whatever was the... "Poisonous companion... That is just a thinly veiled synonym for 'backstabber'! A flesh eating traitor in the midst! Jolyne and I would never abide such foul creatures, I fail to see why you'd be so eager to-" Jolyne interrupted Ronno with a sudden stretch, the shifting weight effectively knocking him off balance and sending him swaying on his feet in a fight to regain his footing. Once the poor boy stopped swaying, Jolyne seemed to take a good look at the party- even with her eyes covered, it was clear she decided to take Ronno's fate in her hands, head turning left and right to look after Pheobe's exit, and the other trainers still present.. And when she spotted the sleepy bulbasaur, she let out a sweet, melodic 'mirrup' in greeting. Immediately after, sending poor Ronno once again wobbling as she lazily nuzzled her cheek against his face, apparently in a show of solidarity among the sleepy. Once he got the hold of himself, Ronno sighed loudly, his hand reaching behind his head to card through his ponytail, as if his little chicken dance frizzled it's strands. It didn't- it was, actually, the electricity produced by Jolyne, and there wasn't much he could do about that. And that was exactly the point, wasn't it. No matter his own, well-aimed, well-bred self-preservation, he isn't the only one making the choices here anymore... And if the summer-trainer promises antidotes, then maybe. Maybe. "But we'd like to associate with the... With the you's, so if that is what the tally calls for... I'll hand my life over for a call to adventure, might as well." His hands stopped carding, now only holding the strands colored yellow, seemingly just to have something to hold onto. It might have been a trick of the light, or just the kicked purebred puppy demeanour he seemed to exute when denied anything, but his face suddenly looked a little pleading. He is not a gossip. Simply... Overhear-er by the trade, more or less. Can barely be faulted, when that is how most of the best stories were learned and scribed down. It's the poet in him. And with that, he wheels around to face the Marcia, with expression of genuine shock on his face and a dainty hand pressed against his heart, the perfect picture of pure concern. "Viridian Forest?!" He squeaked, his pitchy tone luckily hidden from the Professor's ears by a sudden, even pitchier beeps from one of the machines. "And brave the weedle infestation? Goodness me, didn't you heard. Their barbs can cause rashes, and I heard their Beedrill sires can liquify skin and meat when in droves. Sting and poke, slurp up people like nobody!" Ronald's Pikachu- nicknamed Juliet, then promptly renamed Julka, and now tentatively called Jolyne- simply buried her face deeper into the crook of Ronnos's neck, her bigger build balancing precariously on top of his shoulder. Fresh out of Pokeball, not even she was about to give the Beedrill that much credit. But Ronno, he looked genuinely fearful for Marcia's life. No one with such good taste in jewelry and its appropriate amount deserves a fate like that and... She looked kindly. Sparkling, even, with her hair and with how the artificial lights around them sometimes revealed the little rainbow layers on the inside of her sea shells... She looked like bottled summer. No good, to let someone like her face doom so early, so much earlier than the rest. To be taken out by Weedles, before Ronno will even start composing his Doomsday poem... What a horror. A tragedy! No, no, Ronno simply cannot let that slide. "Nasty crowd, I plead you! Early pidgey gets the early gym badge, so on, so forth. Involving weedles right off the bat is a little extreme, isn't it. Name: Ronald "Ronno" Blitzbee Age: 17 Gender/Pronouns: Male (He/Him,) Region of Origin: Kanto, Lavender Town Backstory: In the fair county of Lavender Town is where we lay our scene, where Ronald, as his parents tell him, hatched from an egg left by Moltres at their doorstep. This story is a daydream that Ronno earnestly believes to this day, but not without some actual foundation- He did indeed turn out much more fiery than the rest of his townsfolk. Brought up by two cryptid, isolatory radio hosts who made living off of the paranormal, Ronno always longer for more- More colorful, more joyful, more,, getting to go out of the house, without his parents warning him about the many Pokemon after his soul and how the region of Kanto- if not the world- will, inevitably, come to an end at the morn of his 18th birthday. Making the best of the few years "prophecized" to him, Ronno pursued his dreams of color, taking on everything from theatre to experimental poetry, even dabbling in songwriting and art- those, admittedly, to a bit of a miserable extend. Being treated as an exotic and unusual commodity in Lavender Town served him swell, and he quickly rose from pioneering his town's first theatre club, to his parents gifting him an hour of their radio runtime for his allocated "Rendevouz with Ronno" spot, where he re-enacted theatrical plays with him as a sole actor. But his eighteenth birthday neared, and with the appearance of Mewtwo, the prophecy weighed on both his family, and all of his parent's fans who just as him believed in their words... And with that, daring once more, Ronno announced to his small following that Randevouz With Ronno will be taking a break till the Doomsday comes- That he will venture out on his Pokemon journey, and meet the end of the world halfway. And then, he will return once more for the last time, to read the world's best poem, and to continue reading till the World takes its last breath. ... And if this keeps him from having to take up a retail job that would signal his life over for sure, doomsday or not, then all that more swell for him. Personality: Flamboyant and verbose, Ronno is an introvert's worst nightmare. Always zipping everywhere with too much energy, self-importance and grandeur, waxing poetically about little nothings. Some are drawn to what he considers charismatic and charming, and his taste for fine and romantic things, but it's common for him to rub people the wrong way with his cheekiness, lack of self-awareness over his own antics and his obtuseness for some day-to-day life things. His zest for life is contrasted by his sudden meekness in any actually serious event, and his paranoid and superstitious nature- Inherited from his parents, Ronno does sincerely believe in all things from the inherent unluckiness of standing underneath willow trees, Farfetch'ses being an auspicious sign, and of course, the inevitable doom at the hands of Mewtwo. All in all, Ronno is a good-hearted boy with the best of interests, but maybe not the best execution. He just needs to get socialized by the commoners with common sense, and simply, get his nose out of the poetry books and hang out with kids his age. Appearance: Ronald catches eyes easily, making up for his lack of eighter height or impressive build with as much as sparkle as he can. His face is a thin and sunken, a tell-tale feature of any good Lavender Town citizen, which he accentuates into "sharpness" with his prominent use of make up, and a fake beauty mark on his left cheek. His trademark is his hair, thick and lustrous black with a single thick yellow streak that was meant to match his pale hazel, gold in the right light eyes, but Ronno overdid the color. He puts his hair up in a high ponytail that often twacks whoever has the misfortune of standing too close. His face is further accentuated by his long dangling earrings- twin golden suns, which have two small chain hanging off of them, now ending with small gold feathers, while the longer wraps around small, yellow quartzes. For outfits, Ronno spares very little idea of practicality. His current favorite is a casual, torn at the edges, gray waistcoat, and a low-hanging white shirt unbuttoned around the lapels. He also wears a loose yellow tie, one that often gets away from him if a slight wind gets involved. He is not exactly handsome- rather, he puts so much effort in appearing so, it sort of achieves the opposite effect-, but his smile is bright enough to make up for it. Until he actually opens his mouth, at least. Starter Pokemon: A bulbous female Pikachu with lopped ears and unruly mop of fur covering her eyes, whose name changes depending on Ronno's whim. Other Information: Holding my silly stupid gay boy for consideration so bad. He is bit of a comic-relief/obtuse doof but I promise, it's only because he is just so stupid and genuinely little afraid for his own life. Somebody give him hot tea and some normal friends. Reference: Leif and Orbe both have plenty of stuff in their galleries! For outfits, you can eighter do their casual outfits, with Leifs armor and red cape and Orbes vest but,, I am also going to sneakily pull up this here and say. If you wouldn't be opposed, I would love to see Orbe in C3 and Leif in C1, just if you would make both of their clothes a light blue color! Up to you. Type of Art: Scene with two full bodies Shading?: Yes Background?: Eighter a transparent, or if you could make it work with the color of their clothes, the trans flag would be neat! Details?: Anything subtly "Oh god, these old men are in love" lovey-dovey between them! Something like this, maybe- Like Orberus just gave them both a make-over, and is very confident in his beautician skills, while Leif is blushing away? But that is just a suggestion. Option 1: The hulking, faceless apparition Haven! A misshapen Minecraft Warden that lives above ground, in our lore acting as the foundation for the myth of the Willow Wisp- With it being quite bioluminescent, and often carrying a soul lantern. For implementation onto the server, it also recently got a bit of a redesign- Gaining a giant pair of bunny-like ears, sketch courtesy of Poirot! They are the same color as its arms, dark blue growing lighter towards the end of them- and with the faint same pattern as the one on his chest. Or! A simpler and I bet more according to your tastes, but I figured I will shoot a shot with Haven anyway! Option 2, Prince Rue!! A naive soft-spoken kangaroo, a self-titled prince who believes himself to be a fallen star. He wanders the world, completely aimless but with full conviction that he will find way back home someday, and with goal to collect as many stories to bring back to his family. You are allowed to experiment with the color of his cloak as you wish, as long as it remains a starry fabric! He is a newer OC with much less constrains and just,, actual proper references to go off from, so have fun with him as you wish! :3 Whatever one you choose is fully up to you! Size: I would love to see a full body, but if his design ended up being too much, or if you simply had a better mental image for just the upper body than full, I won't mind eighter! For just some potential pointers, Orberus is heavily associated with wildfires- He currently lives in a fantasy rainforest full of levitating, shattered stone ruins and amethyst crystals, one that he is actively burning down in a hopeless fight against the spread of withering Rot that tainted the land. His homeland was also that of a golden steppe! Could be some fun things with that. :3 Pose?: He has a lot of info on his wiki page, so if you do not mind some reading, that could maybe give you some inspiration! Request + Details: I'd be overjoyed if you could draw my anthro wolf OC, Orberus! If anthros aren't particularly comfortable for you, you are free to draw him as a feral, but I'd love to see an anthro in your style! The commission you did for Pirate-Hunter-Zoros wolf has completely enchanted me, just Waugh,, Feel free to use that more realistic and feral-y style for Orberus, I'd love to see it. I want to make this as comfortable and fun for you as it can be, so. Follow your vision for him! I'd be happy with eighter full body or half. If you would end up wanting some pointers, we can brainstorm in Palpad when the time comes! :D I would love a background through if you could. The background you did for the TuxedoMons commission is lovely, so something of similar nature? Im thinking golden prairie grass with orange sunrise skies, or if you want to get a little silly,,, perhaps placing Orberus dear into the middle of a forest fire. Fire is thematic to his story, as he is in fact, a corrupted nature deity, albeit minor. His wraugh past and loss of original form earned him the ability to set his body aflame as a panic response or threat/posturing- And Orbe finds safety and control in it, despite the damage it does to both the environment and himself. Payment Amount: That's a lot of color on my wolfman, so would 500k do? Simplify what you must, but this amount will stay! Traditional art is a lot of work, and my man is admittedly complex. :3 Amount sent before or on completion: I can do a 250k split, one before and rest after! Style: Comfort Am I wait-listing?: Yep!
