Riako has a Minor Updates thread in which he posts minor changes / bug fixes to the site. If you want to be notified of a change, you have to be subscribed to the thread - which takes up 1 of 30 slots.

I’m not sure how the subscription-notification system works, but I assume it wouldn’t be too difficult to notify all users of a post in that thread.

There’s only 1-3 posts every 2 weeks, so it won’t be too disturbing. And by clicking on the thread, the notification disappears.

This would be helpful for newer users, who don’t know the thread exists. It would also mean you have an extra subscription slot available.
