So I was hatching one of my retro eggs and everything is normal out comes a bulbasaur. What I don't understand is why is it mega-able? I thought these retro pokemon couldn't evolve? Is it just a neat thing this bulbasaur has now that doesn't do anything lol.

some retro pokemon have the possibility of hatching mega-able but it's just for coolness and it cannot mega evolve c:
