Athena smiled after the pair.

As soon as they were gone, the smile promptly dropped, replaced by a frown.

Mona was with Kendo, and from what she knew of the pair, they were most likely to still be together.

So why?

Speaking of Mona, they had agreed to try on dresses soon.

Relaxing her face back into a pleasant expression, Athena headed in the direction of Mona's dorm.

While the history professor droned on, Mona slipped out from her seat, kissing Kendo's temple and speaking quietly to him. "I agreed to do something with a friend. I'll be right back, darling." She gave him a warm smile and trailed her hand on his shoulder before she left the room, hurrying off to her dorm. She dearly hoped she wasn't late.

"Right. Ayran, hello! I've been looking everywhere for you!" She waved enthusiastically to him after pinpointing where he was, nearly sprinting up to him. "So sorry for disturbing you, but I had something of urgent importance I have to take care of. Would you mind helping us?"

Astrophel, on the way back to their dorm, passed what they believed to be the same blonde girl that they had just encountered. Their curiosity piqued, they proceeded to question her. “I hope you’ll pardon me once again but do you possess the ability to teleport? I believe I had already encountered you and yet here you are in front of me”

Athena saw Mona heading quickly towards her dorm.

"There's no need to rush. But..."

Mona was supposed to be coming from roughly the same direction as her, otherwise she wouldn't be here that fast.

"Huh..?" She stopped when she heard the voices of her fellow friends, tilting her head. "What are you talking about? I was in history class with Kendo. And- Lydia? That's the name of Kendo's younger sister. I don't think she goes here? How do you even know about her?"

"I met her just a while ago. It was strange, she claimed she was "Lydia Richards" when I asked if she was Kendo's sister. And she looked suspiciously like Trixie. She was walking with umm... You."

If there were two Monas walking around, that pretty much pointed to impersonation. There were few students with that ability which she knew of.

Mona knew something no one except Kendo probably would.

So... The "Mona" she'd met earlier was an impersonation.

And if Lydia really was at the school, Kendo would have probably told Mona by now. So that couldn't have been Lydia, instead it was Trixie. And Trixie's shapeshifting best friend would have to be Bliss, the fake "Mona". Trixie never denied that they were looking for Ayran, and she'd seen the pair arguing earlier this morning.

Just what did they have in mind?

Once they made it to Mona's dorm, she held the door open for Athena, closing it after they were both inside. "Sorry if it looks too messy, I don't usually have guests in here. Did you bring your dress to try? You can change in the bathroom, if you'd like. I'll change out here."

"It's okay, I can't say my dorm looks great either. Sure, I'll be back in a sec."

Slipping into the bathroom and closing the door behind her, Athena snapped her fingers and a heavy package flew through the window, coming to a soft landing in her hands.

The gown was made of silk, delicate and detailed. The left side of the dress was all gentle white ruffles, slowly darkening to blend into the light pale blue on the right. Flowers ran down the skirt, sweeping to one side. A large bow hung slightly tilted on the left of the cinched waist, the other side comprised of more flowers. Dainty chains of crystal hung from the sleeves, and a single white flower rested at the shoulder.

The high heeled shoes designed to looking like feathers were hidden under the dress, a circlet of light blue crystal rested on her brow. Necklaces and bracelets and earrings, all of the same fragile style, yet it all spoke of her status and wealth.

It was beautiful and it made her look like the picture of innocence.

"I'm done!" She called.

Mona looked at herself in the mirror when she was done, just before Athena came out. Her dress was a soft matte silk and tulle, dark blue and black that fit her bodice, as graceful and elegant as she was. Chains and stars adorned her top and skirt, a large necklace helping to highlight the sweetheart neckline. Her shoes matched her dress perfectly, and although the party wasn't soon, she did her hair in a messy rendition of what it would eventually look like when the ball began. "Okay, I'm done too! Come on out!"

"Oh wow, you look absolutely stunning, Athena! I think you could top off the look with a braided bun, what do you think about that? I could help you with styling, if you need it. I'm also fairly good at makeup, if you need any help on that front." She offered, moving some of Athena's hair to her back. "You're so pretty, it definitely suits you!"

"Awh thank you, you look perfect in your dress. I think I will be needing some help with the makeup and hair, I've never learnt it very well at the palace." Someone normally did it for her. Or she didn't bother, since her appearance was charming enough anyways.

"As nobles, we've always had a silver spoon in our mouths. I wanted to learn to do things on my own, just so I have the knowledge. It's quite fun, actually. I'm starting to think the maids have more fun cleaning than I do studying all day." She laughed, a hand over her mouth as she did. "My mother was a big inspiration. I wanted my style to match hers for the longest time before I found my own personal style."

"Ooh, I must say I've turned to some other hobbies. Although I would love to learn some everyday things. It would be much funner than studying. In fact, could you teach me?" Athena laughed with her, if her mother knew she was trying to learn things that were "for the maids" and "below her", she would definitely be furious. Like that has ever stopped her before.

She demonstrated as she spoke, brushing Athena's hair.

Ayran turned around when he heard his name.

How many times was this today?

He knew he was popular, but he didn't knew that he was popular to the point where people would come running towards him left and right.

Ayran knitted his eyebrows subtly.

"..Lady Mona?"

Weird.

That was the first thing he thought. Why was Lady Mona alone? Usually, she is always accompanied by someone, whether it would be Kendo, or one of her friends. It was rare to see her alone, if ever.

But that wasn't the first thing that caught him off guard.

She was smiling.

Though that wasn't the problem. The problem was that she looked way too happy to see him. Though they were acquaintances, they weren't close enough to the point where they would be able to address each other this comfortably.

Perhaps he was just paranoid with the events earlier today. But.. something truly felt wrong.

I'm not really all that well acquainted with any other boys- do you think you could help me? Please?" She clasped her hands together at her chest, keeping enough space between them as to not raise any more suspicion.
