Exactly, you challenge people of your rank or below.
I was thinking of a Team Rocket Poke-Exchange thing for group v group battles, where you can lend another user one of your strong Pokemon for a battle.

Maybe have a contest or giveaway to entice people to come to the group as a starter. But then you have to have plans for afterwards as well to keep members interested and coming back. (If I think of something I'll let you know. :P)

Start up a bank for club, that way you can buy items/pokemon for giveaways and lotteries.
(I wish PH had a bank where you could put money away..would make this easier.)

I tried to do that at one point, but I had no idea where to store the money XD I have MORE than enough items and Pokemon to raffle off, plus other current members could donate. I might be able to create a "diary" keeping track of all Pokemon and items available for raffles and events. (btw I totally like the idea of an event to get new members, but the problem after that is keeping them.)

Yeah that's the issue. PH doesn't have a bank to store money, mostly because it is not needed as there aren't any events on the site that could "take" your money like on other petsites and what not. But it would be nice to be able to make a club of some sorts, like separate from the forums where you could donate money into a till through the club that way no one in the club is holding onto it but it is there for the owner to use. :\

As for events after that is the main thing we would need to brainstorm. Getting people to come in is one thing, that's an easy raffle. You need to plan events afterwards to keep people coming back. Mini games/mini events to earn points maybe and at the end of the month, whoever has the most points can win some sort of prize and then they reset to zero. Some sort of group discussion would be great to engage members. I don't battle myself but you can make one day of the month or maybe more, depending on who can come on and what not, a battle day where the one that wins gets something....like tournament style. I liked the idea of picking one pokemon and have a levelling contest that lasts a week?

Yeah, right now I'm waiting for the egg in my party to hatch; once it does, that's the Pokemon we need to hatch and train XD As for battling, I tried that once and it didn't really work out too well :/ I wish there was a way to put money into a group-like have a button at the bottom of a post that says "donate" and below that, a place that says amount collected. I'll probably think of more ways to keep members later XD
Also, would you like to become an Assistant Leader?

Mm battling is a toughie since not everyone does it, and a lot of planning needs to go into it and probably the easiest to organize would be a tournament style. But then you need people to commit to come on a certain day so it doesn't drag on for ages.. (I'm not sure how the battling system works here, do you need to finish right away? Or if someone needs to leave their computer does the battle go on pause or something?? :S)

I've been looking through the suggestions forum but I haven't come across anything (even in the rejected pile) on being able to make a club, so I might pitch an idea for that.

But where would you put such a suggestion? Would it be under "Emera Town" or "Communication?" I honestly think Communication, since it's on the forums, but... who knows.
Battling is off the table, because you NEED to finish the battle unless you leave AI on. Also, a lot of people won't battle without autolevel, and I absolutely won't use autolevel under any circumstances. I liked your previous ideas about gaining points, though, but instead of a "who has the most" there should be a shop, where you can exchange your points for items and Pokemon. There can also be a Rocket Breeder who you would pay with points and they would keep the points. But... what should we name the points? and what other ways can they be obtained?

Ok guys! We're starting a new Rocket Challenge!
All you have to do is adopt an egg from the lab, hatch it, name it "Rocket Challenge" or something, and train it a lot! The winner gets 500 Points! It will end next Saturday.

I was thinking under new features, as incorporating a club into the website is a new feature. I'll work on it, probably use TR as an example in it. :P

Alrighty, so battling is a no go unless people figure it out on their own. Maybe we could have a sign up sheet for battling in the group, so if anyone wants to battle they can put their name down (with any restrictions they want) and if anyone wants to challenge them they can, but that will be planned on their own. We can just provide a means of a place where battlers can gather and post challenges and what not.

Mmm a shop. Yeah that could work. But whoever runs the shop shouldn't keep the points spent, those should just disappear after use. If anything the person running the shop can have a list and keep track of how many points everyone has, but this will be a two way street in the sense that if you gained points, let the person know so they can update your amount if it isn't done already. This would be a big honour system for the club as people can lie and probably will if the prizes are valuable enough.
Naming them I think is easy xD Rocket Points! (Only thing that came to mind...actually). As to how to obtain them, mini games would be an obvious choice, and maybe some can be raffled away...like a weekly...monthly raffle? (But only to active members so they would have to enter the raffle to be eligible.) You can award points for contributing something to the club (a new idea, help with coding, really anything that helps the club run smoother), or have a member of the month award (that can only be obtained with certain qualifications and then a vote from the staff you have or even from the entire club).
