I usually bypass the lower floors, and end up residing on seventy-three... Can't say she's captured my intrigue before now. She's quite competent, though."

he chuckled.
"Seraphina Michael Weiss... she's a former police officer. Got knocked off the team after she 'killed' the murderer of her best friend. It's a complicated story. There was also a cave in and an explosion, that killed her other best friend. It's a wild story."
wickedness?
Or is it
weakness?
You decide.
"Mind you, you should've seen me the first few times I remembered outliving you. Gods above, I was... terrible. What happens if she's shown kindness? Can her insatiable berserking tendencies be harnessed logically?"

Hmm, okay, she had maybe hit her head when she fell. That was kinda weird even for her.
"Where are we? You know?" Her head lolled to the side. She squinted at the other girl sideways and tried to make out her expression. Goodness, she looked like Chizu from this angle. All constipated and everything.
"Her eyes were like the sky, if the sky were made of sunsets and dreams." She said softly. "When she laughed, her head flew back and her laughter was like clouds floating up to heaven."
"She's having a hard time adjusting to the new dimension. Some people just do if they've never been here - or remember being here before. It's completely random."
"So what do I do? She would start choking me and blame the vertigo."
"We just have to wait. Should only be a minute or two more."
AC groaned, annoyed. "You literally owe me so much for not letting you faint in a puddle of your own puke."
No response.
"I mean come on, it smells so bad. You're literally dehydrated."

She blinked. The world seemed to be coming into focus again. But the annoyingness of hydrate girl remained.
"Hm. Wanna try letting me go?"
Don't strangle her, don't punch her, don't let her get to you...
"For your information, not all of us are screen addicted fools. I'll have you know I strive for eight glasses a day, stupid. If I had thrown up, it would be less putrid, and a far more respectable color and consistency. Perhaps those stupid medical dramas might actually pay off in this world. There had to be something useful she gleaned from House.

Goodness, she really was just like Chizu.
Smoking can take twenty years off your life, Andreja!
Binge eating is dangerous. You need to spread your meals throughout the day!
Blah blah blah, take care of yourselffff.
She made a face. "We're not young for very long. Why not take advantage of it, is what I ask. And besides, I am not screen-addicted," she added, finally catching the snide comment. "I'll have you know I have plenty of other ways to slowly drag myself into the sweet embrace of death."
"Screens just fit with your standard zoomer, gen-z comment. I would never doubt your... creativity to find new ways to put your life in jeopardy, angel bitch."

AC resolved in that moment that she wouldn't let a word Andreja said affect her.
Calm and collected.
That was her.

Then she spotted the-annoying-still-nameless-guy and everything was alright. "Hey Meat Shield!" she called cheerfully. "Mind giving me a hand!"
He muttered quietly.
"I'm busy."
he was counting down the seconds.
5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
There it was.
A singular man was approaching the gates from within the city, humming a cheerful tune. He was rather average in height- a little small compared to Miyasaki, but not short- with messy, windswept blonde hair. A suit of shining silver armor was on his body, a helmet under his arm, a pen in hand.
"Hello? What's going on here?"
Miyasaki looked away from Alaire.
"Leader of the guardsmen, Elias Winter."
"Heh? How do you know that?"
--
"Yeah, I can tell, for sure."
Seraphina chuckled quietly.
