I have to strain my eyes to see if the Pokemon I am hunting that just came across the screen is Shiny or not.
I also keep my eyes open for other Shiny, but I feel Pikachu and Scyther look too similar to their normal versions.

What I suggest is a display, highlight, shiny star, sparkles, or any number of additions, just to make those with easy-to-miss differences instantly visible.
