Who created you and why did he gift you your powers…?”
She waved her tail impatiently and waited for Fours anger to strike.
Four blinked again, another squeak came when he did so. He stood there calmly and said nothing. He just had a soulless, emotionless smile.

“I’m staying here until you regain consciousness, Four.” She tied some rope around him. “Shops are useful….”
Maybe not.
Four blinked again. “Ange, cover your ears please.”
Tingyun smiled and waved her tail. “Now, number boy, answer my lovely questions…?”

As soon as her finger made contact with the button, a blinding light exploded behind her eyes. Pain surged through her, searing her senses and distorting her perception of reality. She crumpled to her knees, her world spinning into a chaotic vortex of agony and disorientation.
Time seemed to stretch as Matty existed in a state between consciousness and unconsciousness. The pain was a merciless force, engulfing her mind and body. It was as if every nerve was set ablaze, each second feeling like an eternity of torment. In that void of excruciation, she lost all sense of self and reality, existing only as a vessel for her suffering.
Flashes of images and sensations assaulted her senses—a blinding white light, searing heat, a sensation of falling into an abyss. Her mind screamed for release, for an end to the torment that had consumed her being.
After what felt like an eternity, a groan escaped her lips, and gradually, the overwhelming pain began to recede. Matty's consciousness slowly returned, and she found herself curled in a fetal position on the ground. Her body trembled, her mind a haze of confusion and fragments of memory.
The red button, Calmia's smile, and the sensation of sheer agony lingered in her fragmented thoughts, leaving her struggling to piece together the events of the last fifteen minutes. As she lay there, her breathing ragged and her body battered by the ordeal, one thing was clear: the pain had been beyond anything she could have anticipated, and the memory of it was etched into her very being.

"Ugh... I think... I'm okay," she mumbled, her voice weak. She slowly pushed herself into a sitting position, feeling a blush rise to her cheeks as she realized she had been lying on the ground in a rather undignified manner. "Just... that was... intense."

"No fever. So you're in a better state than I was."
Calmia took the device back, carefully placing the device in her bag.
"...Hm. i'd have expected you to be in worse condition. I really need to talk to Zeke about this..."

weakness?
You decide.
"Yeah, I guess I should be grateful for that," she replied, her voice still tinged with a mixture of grogginess and lingering discomfort. She watched as Calmia stowed the device away, her mind still haunted by the memory of the overwhelming pain she had experienced.
"I... I'm not really sure what just happened," she admitted, her brows furrowing in confusion. "I mean, I'm here, I'm conscious, but... that was... I've never felt anything like that before." Her voice carried a note of vulnerability as she tried to articulate the overwhelming sensations she had just endured.
Fire and ice, and pain, and so much pain...
Her mind was haunted by the cruel sensations.

Calmia shrugged.
"But then again, you're probably not used to being shot at, so..."
Calmia dug through her bag, pulling out a little vial of... a strange liquid.
"Drink this. Painkillers."

Or is it
weakness?
You decide.
As Calmia handed her the vial, Matty took a moment to sniff it cautiously, her wariness still present. Deciding that it didn't seem particularly suspicious, she downed the liquid in one swift motion, her throat tingling slightly from the unfamiliar taste. She glanced at Calmia, her cheeks flushing a little as she realized how close they were once again. "Thanks," she murmured, her gratitude genuine despite her lingering embarrassment. She was... uncomfortably close to Calmia, but her limbs still felt heavy and numb. She couldn't move if she wanted to. She was entirely at Calmia's mercy.
If she died right here, oh well. It would serve her right.

Matty looked at Calmia, her gaze lingering on the features of the person who had offered both comfort and camaraderie. The pain had receded, leaving her with a sense of vulnerability that she couldn't quite place. Perhaps it was the painkillers, or maybe it was the shared experience they had just gone through.
"You know," Matty began, her words softer than usual, "I never thought I'd find myself in a situation like this, surrounded by a mall I don't remember a rriving at and... well, interestingly interdimensional people." She let out a small chuckle, her guard momentarily lowered by the medication. "But somehow, it's not as bad as I thought it would be." She turned to Calmia, her eyes holding a mixture of genuine curiosity and a hint of a smile. "What about you? How do you manage to stay so... unfazed by all of this?"
