Iteral wanted to sigh, show disinterest but... her soul couldn't help it. Life went into her movements, she had no time for words. The witch grabs her wand and charges into the door, breaking it open

There, hunched over the sink with loads and loads of towels and whatever else she could find was Mercy, throwing up copious, near dangerous amounts of blood. Any normal person would've died a long time ago. She couldn't even talk to Iteral, continuously coughing blood into the sink and watching it drain, trying to regain her breath and wincing when she breathed too hard, or breathed at all, really.

Iteral sighs, trying to keep her composure as much as she could. Her heart was starting to race, but why? Mercy gave her nothing but hardships, ignorance and maltreatment. But... seeing her like that. No. Nobody deserves to die like this. Not even Mercy.

The witch professor puts one hand on her mother's back, supplying healing light magic while the other hand supported Mercy so she couldn't fall easily. "I got you mom." Her voice was trembling but not panicked. "Can I help you somehow?"

She shook her head shakily. The magic wasn't working. Her own magic wasn't working. She used the fog on the mirror while the sink was running to write out. 'Drink'. 'Magic block'. 'Glass'. Something was in that drink.

Iteral snaps her fingers, her own shadow animates. All she had to do was point at the words Mercy wrote, it immediately dashed. The shadow moves on the walls, quick and efficiently, takes the glass that she drank from and returns just as quickly as it left. She looks at it and then at Mercy. "

You got poisoned with a magic blocker. What can we do to ensure your survival?" The witch asked and, although the magic did not work, she kept applying it. She did only care for keeping her alive for now.

She didn't even know what to do. She had to think quickly. 'Get him'. Her handwriting was shaky while she wrote, coughing up more blood.

Maiden sat down at the table, eating a cornetto. These things were really good. She'd have to ask Iteral for the recipe. Whenever she gets home, she'd try and make some for Overlord. She'd probably like that. She tilted her head. Mercy had been upstairs for a while. Iteral had followed her after some time. She hoped they were both ok.

Iteral nods and snaps her fingers again. The shadow goes down and passes through the kitchen, adapting Iteral's shape to make sure they know it's hers. It dunked it's hand into the jam jar and spells out "Get Scara" on the table, before it proceeds to catch up with the triple-crosser.

"AAA!" Maiden screeches at the shadow's sudden appearance. "Oh. Wait," she notices the shadow's shape. "It's just Iteral," She said, calming down, finally reading the words it wrote. Get Scara. The boy with the obnoxious hat from earlier. Ok.... how would she do that?

Moon stood by Bliss's side, watching as the distortionists were all sent away. The demon had just finished yelling at someone named Chains. Moon had never seen them before. In fact, there were a lot of distortiinists that she had never seen before. She only knew some of their names. Some spy she was.

There was Melanthia and Scara-something, who were always arguing. Scara looked strangely familiar, but Moon couldn't place him. Azazel was also ranked highly within the organization. And there was Doctor Elodie, and Mercader, and that was about all she knew.

She had a really bad feeling about what was happening. Bliss was sending them to the cottage, they had discussed in yesterday's meeting. But that was ages ago. Before Lydia, before the drug, before the visit...

She was starting to get a headache from the drug wearing off. While Moon resented the higher dosage that Bliss kept giving her -- she liked thinking, thank you very much -- she couldn't deny that it stopped the withdrawal symptoms. Moon suspected that going cold turkey from the drug would literally kill her. She didn't have enough magic in her like the rest of them to protect herself. Weak.

But that wasn't the only reason Moon was lightheaded.

She was rather hungry.

But it wasn't like she could eat any more. A half dozen sugary macarons were just about the worst thing that could've happened to her. She could feel the sweet poison coursing through her veins alongside Bliss's blood.

Pathetic. She couldn't even control one thing.

Moon was at Bliss's mercy, just like she had been her mother's mercy. At least back then, she had been stronger. A year at Eleanor West's had made her weak. It had gotten her out of practice for adventuring, out of practice for protecting herself, out of practice for controlling variables.

She would eat something small tonight, Moon promised herself. Until then, she could wait. There was too much she needed to figure out first.

It was never meant to be.

The shadow acted on its own, though it kept Iterals shape because it was told to. Sensing a rapidly moving shadow apart from its own, it extends their arm into a long claw, attempting to grab Scaramouche and slow them down.

He noticed the shadow, and in a split second, cast Pyro at it, using the light from the fire to ward it off

The shadow avoided the light and kept the distance, using shadows of nearby objects to maintain itself. It wouldn't be deterred so easily

The shadow did not talk. It was incapable of doing so. It suddenly raised an arm, trying to influence the shadow Scaramouche himself casts. Trying to slow them down. Where the hell was the back up?

Azazel had snuck his way up the house walls and gotten through the window, looking at Iteral’s real body and extended shadow. “Well, isn’t this a lovely surprise?” he asked, looking at her and the sickly goddess. “My, what a horrible thing that happened here?” he said, walking up to them. He looked angrily at the goddess, ignoring Iteral’s existence completely.

Caspian didn’t have a clue what was going on, and assumed everything was all good. But he was getting a bit hungry.

Caleb saw the shadow and went outside, seeing Scara fighting it. He knew it. “Hey! You poop!” he said, running out of the house.

Chains rolled his eyes at the Hooded Figure's remark before dissolving into smoke. He trailed through the corridors and out of the building, zooming towards where the cottage was located. The magic around him was bustling, but the goddess' one was significant than the others. "Well, it seems little Hat Boy has finished his task. Rather quick, too." He spotted Scara and Caleb and slithered to them.
