"Dr Grimm... Oh! You're Yuki's sister, right? The nice lady with the chainsaw! What happened to you that made you so banged up?" Yumine's head turned towards the phone. "Hold on for a second, I'm going to take that." He picked it up and put the phone to his ear. "Hello?"

She frowned, turning away and pulling her arm away from his grip. "Fine. Whatever. I don't care what you do." She was definitely upset. After a short moment, she took off, holding onto her broom tightly.

A weird static-like sound came through first. It wasn't unsettling but sounded very alien, like it did not belong to this realm at all. Soon enough... a voice came through.

"Have you managed to repair the Grimm unit yet?"
It was an elderly voice, muffled by a breather and sounding anything but nice. A little background sound, similar to a hand tapping on a wooden table over and over again, almost impatient, was audible whenever she did not speak.
...

"I told you, you take care of the technology, I take care of the funding. [...] I do not care if you cannot connect this to that. Now I will connect you to the next technician and when you call me again, you better have them ready."

Beep.

It seemed to be an exerpt of a conversation. Sadly, only one side was audible but after the muffled voice hung up, the conversation shifted to the other side, as they described the technical problems of a model that sounded similar to Grimm. It was mostly technical talk but it gave a little insight, as some problems that were mentioned in the call were present on Grimm. It also provided solutions, some required a major in robotics... others were basic enough that an ordinary human could do them.

You know the first rule in combat? Shoot them before they shoot you.

She dodged lightning as best she could, flying around them before they struck. There seemed to be more targeted specifically at her.

"Huh? Grimm unit...? Maybe you have the wrong number, Ma'am?" It took him a few minutes to realize she wasn't talking to him. "Oh." Yumine pressed him lips together and listened carefully to the rest of the talk, albeit a bit confusedly. X wrote down some of them.

She quickly dodged, just barely- almost being struck by it. "Thanks..." She nodded and flew straight for the rift.

"Something is preventing me from going inside..." She tried to push through the barrier, but like before, the closer she got, the more lightning was concentrated her way. It all aimed at her and struck her, paralyzing her. She fell off of her broom, watching it fall with her since it snapped.

He flinched, slightly. He snapped, quickly, suspending Mercy in the air. He stopped the lightning, with a wave of his other hand.

The conversation went on for a little but also made random jumps in certain topics or description of parts... then, a little mistake: The sound of a tape recorder being sped up actually went through for a brief moment. They kept going undeterred though, continuing to give X the most one-sided DIY possible.

Yumine started getting anxious. He tapped his finger on the table and looked back at Grimm. "Okay, this is weird. What number is this? Does this call have a number?" X put the pen to his mouth and Eye jabbed the phone multiple times. I dunno. You tell me, you're the robot.

The phone had no number, the display shows a garbled mess of half letters. But it seemed like whatever the tape was saying seemed accurate enough, as some descriptions of Grimm's parts lined up.

Eye smacked it with his fist comically. Yumine pulled away from the phone a bit before pressing it against his ear. With a sigh, he put it back in the holder. "Well, thankfully, whoever the caller is, they gave us a way to help Doctoress Grimm." He turned to Exe. "Did you get it?" Yessir! Let's get cracking! "C- careful!" Exe zoomed over to where Grimm sat excitedly, starting to pull tools out.

Moon eyed the blue vial suspiciously. This might be the last few seconds she had of clear thinking. If she tried to run how far could she get? Hypothetically, of course.

Who was she kidding, that wasn't an option. That left Lydia and Iteral open for attack, practically begging Bliss to go capture and kill them. Moon would need to do what she did best: play along. Sometimes she wished she was as strong as Captain Jack or even Lydia. But they paid the price of pain for their bravery.

Moon stayed where she was, resigning herself to her fate. She stared up at the demon silently, her expression something between a glare and a smirk.

It was never meant to be.
