flowers are all around us. take a lesiurely stroll down the street, and it's almost certain that you'll find a few. no matter their size, shape, or color, they're everywhere should you just take a look and see. but, what if i said that some people are flowers themselves? not in the literal sense, of course, but through their characteristics and abilities? and, what if i were to say that you are rather suited to a certain flower yourself? flowers are all around us, and should you choose to do so after being tended by a "Gardener", you may become a flower girl yourself.


set in the peaceful town of Bouqet and its nearby areas, ~Flowers of the effervescent~ follows the lives of all who live there. most are regular civilians—just the sort of people you could find anywhere, really—but some of them have magical abilities to protect the town from harm. you see, unbeknownst to most, lilieae is actually a hotspot for for magical activity. with magical people constantly fighting for the wellbeing (and occasionally destruction) of the town, there's always something going on. even if the people uninvolved aren't really aware of it at all. however… the sudden rise in mysterious property damages and missing persons reports aren't going by unnoticed. maybe there's more to this town than they thought? and for the magical people involved in it directly who know (and often are) the cause… well, maybe there's more to being a magical person than originally meets the eyes.

It was another day for the city of Bouqet. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and many, many flowers were blooming. Aside from the strange increase of property damage and missing people, it was quiet and peaceful... Or so the citizens believe~.


Amid the bustle of city life, walked a teen on their way to school. Her strawberry hair was in its normal pigtails, she wore a red and black Lolita style dress with ballet flats. Her blue grey eyes wandered the street boredly. Absently the Stern Emika Tenshi-Smith's black gloved hand rose and rubbed the Bleeding Heart pin on her chest.


Amid the bustle of city life, walked a teen on their way to the marketl. Her snow white hair held in twin buns bounced lightly with each step. She wore a white kimono with a pink obi and pink sandals. Her golden yellow eyes suggested tiredness as she walked the streets. "At least my garden is doing a little better..." the Youthful Eris Everlast thought as she walked...

"On the wings of fire I descend, and to the arms of the sun I shall return to."

Sunrise, 5 hours ago. Kira sat perched upon the top of the giant clock in the middle of the city that was modeled after and in honor of big ben, the british clock, overviewing the city. Kira sniffled a bit before letting out a slight sneeze, god it was cold up here, but he'd exhausted his supply of seeds, he needed to hunt for more plagues, preferably before the others got to them, and preferably without conflict. "Y'know, perching up here isn't very wise, especially when you know I love the view up here. I could just push you off any day y'know?" Kira sighed, It's Rosa. "I know Rosa, you remind me every time i come here."

"And why don't i do that again?" "Waste of energy, and you're a benevolent, loving and caring girl." "Exactly." Kira turned to give the girl standing behind them a dry look. Rosa was beautiful, somehow much taller than Kira, and was generally alluring, lucky for Kira Rosa was interested in him. He didn't reciprocate those feelings though. "What do you want Rosa?" The girl clutched where her heart was, coincidentally touching the rose pin against her chest.

"I'm hurt! Why would you assume i came to fulfill my own hidden agendas? Never in my life have i ever felt so betrayed...You're right in a way of course, i came to bring you a gift with the ulterior motive to keep you alive!" With a fluorish, she produced an egg like capsule, pure white in colour in her hand. "Taddaaa~! I went and fought a high powered Plague, specially for you! Had to beat off another flower girl while i was at it, it was no trouble at all really." With that, Rosa rested her hand on Kiras neck where he fastened his sunflower pin, the white in the egg seeping into Kiras pin while the egg slowly darkened, till eventually it was pitch black. A surprised look dawns upon Rosas face. "Wait, how long have you not recharged for?" Kira guiltily looked down at his pin.

"...2 weeks, 5 days and 4 hours." Rosa sighed and slid to the ground next to them. "You should stop endangering yourself so newbies can get seeds, it's survival of the fittest out here." Rosa cocked her head as if listening to something. "Speaking of newbies, there's a newbie coming into town. What say you we pay them a visit and show them the ropes?" Rosa smiled evily at the thought and Kira threw her a dirty look. "Don't even think of sparring with them, where have your manners gone to?" His tone have turned chiding. "I'll go alone this time, you go do...whatever it is you do in your free time." With that, Kira leapt off the big ben replica, falling into the city below.

Ariel was bustling through the streets of Bouquet, having just run a couple of miscellaneous errands in the market. There was always something new in the city, and some would be intimidated, but he was giddy with his newfound freedom. Even when he wasn't using his power, he felt like he was floating. Now, in his wanderings, he came across a giant clock tower, and he abruptly stopped in his tracks in the middle of the sidewalk to marvel at it. He had the urge to float up to get a closer look, instinctively reaching for the dandelion pin on his scarf, but he hesitated as he remembered what the Gardener's minion had told him about his powers. He needed to be careful, make a plan to hunt for a seed of suffering so he could recharge.

...And from the sky dropped Kira, landing fist first in front of Ariel, fist cracking the pavement. A small tremor shook through the area, but nobody except Kira and Ariel felt it. Kira stood up and dusted their knuckles off, almost as if they were bored, stopping to fiddle with their pin and tilt their head to the clouds, almost as if pondering something.

Violet was sniffing flowers when she heard something

Violet: W- what was that…? She came closer to place where she heard it…

Violet: Huh..? Someone is here…?

Something attacked Violet, she tried to run away

From the bush emerged Gloria ellis, morning glory badge shining brightly against her chest despite it being black. "Good morning and greetings to you ms dahlia bulb, I'm here to harvest your pin. It'll make a fine addition to my collection." Extending a hand, a wave of sound blasted out of it, aiming square at Violets back in an attempt to push her over and pin her down.

She was scared…

Gloria smiled. "I'm morning glory, but you my little victim, can call me the black knight. As for why I'm attacking you, i'm here to collect your flower pin. So much power, wasted on a tiny being like you. You don't deserve it." It seems that Gloria was done talking. She stalked closer and closer to violet, reaching our a clawed hand covered in vines to her pin.

She summoned vines to block Gloria’s way and escaped

Gloria brushed aside the vines in irritation. "Is that all you got? Are you just going to run from me, like the coward you are? Well, then, i'm going to enjoy making you feel pain." Gloria no longer holding back blasted Violet with the full force of sound, intending to crush her petite body like a bug.

Ariel got into a fighting stance, reaching for the crossbow at his hip and briefly floating into the air to maintain his balance as he felt the ground shake. But when he saw Kira's pin, he relaxed slightly, but kept a hand on his crossbow. "You seem to know your entrances, I didn't realize road work was part of a flower girl's repertoire," he quipped, even though it was clear he was in no position to joke around around the clearly more experienced flower girl. "So what brings you here?"

Kira started a bit in surprise, tripping over themself when Ariel started to interact with them. He clearly hadn't exected another flower girl (He thought he was the only male) to appear in front of them. They quickly composed themself, eyeing the crossbow in Ariels hands, he could easily disarm him if he catches them off guard, but then he'd have to draw his bow, which would take a while. That's when he realised something. "Hey, you must be the new flower girl, no wonder you came here, didn't you know that this area is dangerous? Flower girls have territories most of the time, randomly entering one can cause a battle to happen,this is a co owned territory by me and Rosa, the rose girl. I was going to look for you to see if you needed any help adjusting, after being informed of your arrival by Rosa. Looks like you came right to me though."

Violet saw another flower girl far away

Violet: H- hi...

She was scared a bit, after everything that happened she through everyone will try to kill her or something. She walked to Kira

Violet: Are you another flower girl...?

"Kira" turned around and smiled, transforming into Morning glory. "Hello again, little flower girl, did you really think you could escape me?"

Violet: YES!!! *disappears somehow*

"We have territories? Is there some sort of map, the cat never told me that when I got this." Ariel gestured at his pin, likely confirming Kira's suspicions about him being the new flower girl. He frowned slightly, as the idea of someone else telling him where he could and couldn't go seemed like exactly what he had been trying to get away from. But he understood that he had a new responsibility, so he swallowed his pride. "Well, I appreciate the, ah, hospitality of you both then. I didn't think many of us girls had partnerships." He smirked as he said this, joking about them being referred to girls to hide his annoyance at the term. "But if you're one of the experts around here, I wouldn't mind some tips on how to avoid starting a turf war." He didn't want to appear weak or dependent on others, but at the same time, he knew not every other flower girl he encountered would be as friendly. His expression turned more resolute. "I haven't been here long, but I want to help fight."

Kira raised an eyebrow. "No no, it's not an official organised thing by the gardener, it's more will to survive and competition, but...cat? I got a dog instead. Labrador and husky hybrid with shadow powers. We have truces every now and then if we're in an emergency situation, like slow spawning of the Plagues. It's generally ill advised to go into different territory due to tensions of past flower girls stealing kills and seeds from each other, but as long as you don't touch the plagues you should be fine going through most territories. There are other territories of course, like the morning glory turf. They've killed most flower girls who entered the area. Other flower girls try to steer clear since they're dangerous. " Kira winced at the flower girl comment. "Glad you're joining the club. Thought i was the first and the last of the male flower girls. I'l help guide you through the early stages, but you'll have to find your own area afterwards. This area can't sustain the three of us easily for a long time, even with me rationing. I'll have a gathering of some of my allies to discuss where you should allocate you to. As for your enemies, the plagues..." Kiras expression clouded over. "I'll let you observe me fighting a few plagues a couple of times. You have to be careful with them dude. Many like you who wanted to help save the world have perished, all memory of them erased by the bodies lost in the domain. I still remain though, I will remember them. My name's Kira, I'm the sunflower. And you?"
