They can be in areas you haven't unlocked yet.
They can't be in premium areas.

Just don't forget to have space for the prizes. I should've thought out my Mewtwo Hunt and completing a Hoopa Quest. Hope they all hatch before the day comes and also hoping I don't stupidly refill my party with more hunt eggs. Really should've thought about the timing of my hunt.🤦

If one of your eggs are in that area, then I guess you can't unlock it. If you can't unlock it, you might as well try to get at least 16 eggs to get a previous event Pokémon.

i've looked everywhere and i'm six short; i think the six are in places like royal tunnel and pokeradar that i haven't unlocked yet (unfortunately)

100% so do I because I have looked through well over 150 different places and still have one more to find. This site is very large and when you slap text, image and number based learning disabilities on top of it you end up as frustrated as me wondering where I may have missed it
