The Lock- The most prestigious school, Located in the center of Ashton City. the Lock was a huge facility spamming kilometers and boasting top-end training facilities. It had over 20,000 dorm rooms, 800 training facilities, 1,000 classrooms, and 2,000 highly trained professionals and teachers to tend to the students catering. Most professors are 'geniuses' that have once studied here or had several achievements under their belts. They all had their pride and thus only paid attention to the top students while ignoring the mediocre ones. Although they don't say it straight, the teacher's expression could tell it all
Each student is given a rank determined by measuring potential, stats, and academic achievement
There are many privileges to being a student of the Lock, one of them is gaining access to all public transportation for free.
The three-year enrolment fee is 30,000,000 U.
Because the academy is a medium to nurture talented individuals which would later be the future pillars of humanity, the security is high and information regarding the students is tightly secured. Excluding the professors who were all respectively strong heroes, the security alone comprised of B and C-ranked Heroes
Each professor, be it an assistant, staff, or regular professor must sign a mana contract. This is for security reasons. A mana contract can't be escaped without massive amounts of resources and the penalty of having their lifespan shortened by a large degree since their soul would get split in half in the process.
The campus which covered an area of five kilometers squared was divided into 8 sections, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H. The A section was where the lecture halls were located. The B section was a no-student area and it's where the professor's offices were located. The C section was where the labs and research facilities were located. For someone to access the lab, they needed to be supervised by a professor. The D section was where the virtual reality room was, it was located underground and was a few kilometers away from the dorms, which were located in the E section. The training facility was located inside a large squared architectural building in the G section. It was approximately 2 minutes away from section A, and 5 minutes away from E section. Because it was a public training facility one needed to book a spot in advance to use the facility. Lastly the H section, the area that contained the library as well as the 'cube'. The 'cube' was a forbidden area that only the highest-ranked individuals could enter, it was where all the secret training manuals were stored, as well as godly medicine and herbs.
In the E section, dorms were separated into five different buildings with each building more prominent than the other. You can access them with money (up to the Hydra building) or if you're ranking is high enough.
Golden Rat: The furthest building and also the shabbiest looking one. It was the cheapest dorm on the campus and was where people that couldn't afford to pay for facilities stayed.
Horned Sheep: Right next to the 'golden rat' building was the 'horned sheep' building. The conditions were a bit better than the 'golden rat' building, but it was still nothing compared to the next three. It's the building where Ren was at the beginning.
Manticore: Starting from the 'Manticore' building, each person had their own personal training facility installed inside of their room followed by a person-designated butler that catered to all their needs. The fees are 100,000 U per month and 1,200,000 million U in yearly rent.
Hydra: Like the 'Manticore' building, it provided personal training facilities as well as a butler. However the training facilities were much more advanced, and they also provided students with personalized meals and diet plans. The meals were all cooked by professional chefs, and the ingredients provided by them were all made from rare herbs and monsters.
Leviathan: The only building that could not be accessed with money. This was where the 'elites' resided. No matter how rich you were, you must prove that you were a one-of-a-kind talent to be able to step in here. Heavy emphasis was put on the creation of this building, as it was where the future pillars of humanity would be nurtured. Whatever you wanted, it was there. Training facilities, high-end food, butlers, swimming pool, VR rooms, highly secured research facilities, if you felt like something was missing all you needed to do was just ask and it would be built the next day. Its residents could design their rooms to their liking.
Ashton City- Ashton city is the capital of humanity.
It is the most secure location available for humans and the area where the Lock resided. The ultimate training academy that was known to mankind, was created for the sole purpose of creating ultimate heroes who will lead the charge to reclaim Earth. Because of its size, Ashton city was divided into five different districts : Northern District, Southern District, Eastern District, Western District, and the Central District. The reason why they were split that way was simple. Because apart from the Northern district, every other district was under the jurisdiction of one of the four Diamon graded guilds present in Ashton city. Although the Union and the central government were the main powers that kept humanity in check, they still allowed the top four guilds to take control over certain areas. This way the union could keep their power centralized and keep guilds satisfied at the same time.[2]
Southern district ▷ Rank 1. Demon Hunter
Central district ▷ Rank 2. Starlight Guild
Western district] ▷ Rank 3. Black Hammer
Eastern district ▷ Rank 4. Eclipse of Dawn
Northen district ▷ the Union
The Union-
The Union is the current association overlooking Humanity. It is currently the foremost organization in the Human Domain, which only the Central Government could control. Even the biggest guilds operating do not dare challenge the authority of the union as it would spell permanent doom if they clashed against them.
The union has the highest number of S-ranked heroes at its disposal making it a behemoth that stood at the peak of humanity, but it is the Seven Union Heads that made the Union so fearsome.
Mana-
Mana is nothing but a bundle of elements, fire, water, earth, wind, light, darkness, and so on...it is is essentially a package that contained all of the elements, and those said elements are what we now refer to as psyons. When we use 'mana' all we are doing is actually using the psyons within the package (mana) to fit our needs. Take summoning a fireball as an example. In reality, what you are doing is merely stimulating the fire psyon within the bundle of mana so that you can materialize fire like I just did
Mana follows the wave-particle theory, meaning that it behaves similarly to both particles and waves. The reason why psyons are bundled together and are not separate is because of the law of conservation of energy. A single psyon by itself would simply disintegrate in the air because it is unstable. Only when it is with the other psyons can it remain stable.
The Cataclysms-
The First Cataclysm was started by shifting in the tectonic plates all over Earth, moving countries from where they were previously, resulting in tsunamis and earthquakes and killing millions in the process. The sudden shift in tectonic plates caused the world map to permanently change, with there only being one landmass surrounded by water
Demons started emerging from strange Portals. At first, they were docile, but as soon as they deemed humanity weak they started rampaging all over the place.
After the Second Cataclysm, a special force, Mana, that originated from other worlds, burst into Earth. The sudden Burst of mana made animals go into a frenzy. At first, it seemed like they had completely lost their minds. But later after a few days, they started to change, turning into demonic beasts that lacked intelligence. The most noticeable difference would be their insane growth in height and extreme bloodthirst. not only did humans and beasts evolve but plants did too. Essentially all living beings on this planet started to evolve, though most plants have no sentience don't look down on plant
At that time, humanity managed to gain access to mana for the first time and a strange status windows similar to the ones that appear in games appeared in front of everyone. This process is particularly called Awakening, and slowly people started familiarizing themselves with mana through which they gained access to supernatural powers] A Status Window, which every human in the world had, be it young or old, was a sort of game interface that showed a user's stats. It first appeared as soon as the demons invaded the world. What was known about the it was that it allowed the user to see their own stats as well as that of artifacts.
Ten years after the Second Cataclysm, Humanity started loosing land to the Demons and other Factions, until the power balance finally stabilized at 3/8 for the Demons, 3/8 for the Fantasia Faction, and 2/8 for Humanity.

”Romeo, O’ Romeo, wherefore art thou, O’ Romeo? Good question, Juliet. I’m not sure.”
Name:
Artemis Wright
Christened "The Lancer of Light" by the media. He has said he despises this nickname and prefers to be called Artemis. When asked why not "Wright," he was quoted to have said, "That's my grandfather."
Age:
16
Description:
Tall, at 6'1. His thin frame is misleading, due to most of his body mass being pure muscle. His hands are callused from years of using a spear.
Personality:
Artemis' intellect is terrifying. He seems to know everything about everyone, from their financial situation to their family issues. He's ruthless, cold, and analytical. On the battlefield, he dispatches his opponents with calm, cold indifference. His quiet nature is commonly regarded as arrogant. Artemis is very prideful and refuses to acknowledge others unless they defeat him. He is unapproachable, icy, and cold. He is not beyond using underhanded methods to defeat those he sees as a threat. He's blunt and doesn't seem to care for anyone's feelings.
He seems to have somewhat of a chess complex. Who's gonna break him out of that, I wonder.
Manuals & Skills:
[Wright Style ★★★★★ (5/5) [Minor Realm of Understanding]- A spear style developed by the late Grandmaster Jack Wright, this spear style focuses on pure power. Similar to the Keiki style, this style is widely considered a one-shot, one-kill style, focusing on dealing incredible damage with one movement. Grandmaster Wright performed a forward thrust, one of the most basic skills with a spear, over 1,000,000 times, creating this technique. The user is currently able to use the first and second movement of this style, [Thrust] and [Swing]. The user will unlock the skills [Throw], [World Breaker], [Dimensional Shatter] and [End] once reaching the appropriate levels, being the [Greater Realm of Understanding] and [Understanding of the Essence]. This spear style requires at least a Mana Control stat of [B] to utilize properly, as it require high control of Light, Lightning, Wind and Earth Psyons.]
[Cahracter Judgement(Scent) ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5?) [Understanding of the Essence]- the user of this ability is able to judge a person's character through the scent their mana gives off. This ability cannot be turned off. At higher levels, you are able to judge another's character more clearly, with stronger scents and more variations of scents]
[Void Steps ★★★★☆ (4/5)- A rare movement style that allows its user to travel quickly, their speed increasing exponentially with every step. This skill also allows its user to handle Dark Psyons, and increases mana control. This ability, when raised to the [Minor Realm of Understanding] can function as a fighting style, coating the user's legs in Dark Psyons, powerful against those who wield Light Psyons.]
[Massacre- F+, Growth Type- The more this skill is used, the more it increases in rank. This skill gives an exponential boost to the user's abilities, boosting their sub-rank by 1 for an amount of time that is proportional to the user's skill rank. The drawbacks are severe, lessening as the skill's level goes up.]
Background/Backstory:
being the grandson of teh famed "Spear God," Jack Wright, Artemis came from a fairly laid-back family. His father, Alex Wright, and Mother, Amanda Wright, never cared much for the hero lifestyle, but are both A+-ranked heroes, managing a Gold-rated guild, Cassia. They are incredibly supportive, but never pressured Artemis into continuing their family's history of heroics. Artemis decided to become a hero on his own.
Artemis grew up distanced from other children, and never had any true friends. He doesn't seem to know how to talk to people, and barely gives off any hints of emotion, just the occasional smile. Most think of him as a strange person but acknowledge his strength. As of the entrance Exams, Artemis is ranked 1st in the overall 1st year rankings.
His good looks never go unnoticed, but it seems Artemis simply has no interest in romance. Despite being asked out nearly 15 times at this point, he's flat-out refused all of them. He's gotten a reputation for being a cold, unapproachable person.
Perhaps there's a reason why he's so cold?

Duelist's Defense - ★★★★★ - Although not known for any legendary takedowns, Lunara adapts a defensive and more thoughtful stance. During this time, attacks and spells will be de-/reflected to not harm them. For now, if it is reflected or just misses is more chance than not.
Shimmer of Light - ★★★☆☆ - Using light psyons to "bless" themselves, Lunara creates a minor wonder around themselves, increasing their Luck and their Stamina. Currently, the effect does not last long and has the drawback of lowering a random stat afterwards (Duration of buff = Duration of debuff)
Tokalasma - A skill hidden so well that most instructions or depictions on how to use them are in foreign languages. This technique allows the user to switch two rating scores. The effect continuously drains mana but has no adverse effects.
Background/Backstory: Being the definition of the idiom "Blessed are the forgetful", it is weird how their family even works. The child of two heroes from the Central District, Lunara has shown incredible luck since they were little.

Description: Kylian is fairly tall, standing around 5 foot 10. He has short, black hair that is usually messy and unkempt. He has dark green eyes, and freckles. Usually he's grinning, but when he is focused he has a stern look. He is fairly thin, despite eating a lot.
Personality: He always seems to be joking. He'll mess with people often, trying to toy with their emotions. He doesn't understand boundaries most of the time, and usually picks fights he can't win. During battle, he'll turn stern and strict, but will sometimes keep his joking personality, bickering with his opponent.
Manuals & Skills:
(Herbology - ★★★☆☆) Basic herbology understanding. Teaches the user different types of plants, edibility (is that a word) of the plants, and what medicines it's used in. Somehow complicated but not at the same time.
(Duel's Mind - ★★★★☆) User can clear their mind more easily, making way for heightened awareness, analytical skills, and makes the strength of the user a tad bit higher.
(Regenerative Healing) Allows the user to do basic healing, limited to small cuts and scrapes. Can do big-scale injuries, but takes a long time and has severe effects with the mana usage. Can potentially make an injury worsen.
Background/Backstory: His parents both died in battle, and he was raised by his grandmother. His grandmother, not being one to fight, taught him skills in various medicines and herbs. His grandfather (even though they didn't have a great bond) would teach Kylian basic fighting skills.

[-1st Fragment of Heavenly Qi Circulation-]
[Collected 2/4 of the series Yin Yang Heavenly Judge]
★★★☆☆
[3/5]
[The whole entire process of starting cultivation, is circulating [qi]. Human beings absorb [Qi] all the time, though most do it without knowing. Absorbing [Qi] helps expand your life-span, but it can also heal your injury at a faster rate. The more you practice this technique of circulating [Qi] the more effective it is. It is also the start of learning how to use [Spiritual Energy] and to how to spread [Qi] to the rest of your meridians.]
[Warning: As your mastery gets higher, you may see things that you normally don't see before.]

[The first step is like a gust of wind. From one place to another, a step at a time. Like the wind, you are free. You are here for a moment, the next, you are gone. You leave no traces on snow. While your hits are swift yet sharp like the wind]
-[2nd Level]-
[Rain Dancing]
[Ethereal, and Elegant, your footsteps are lighter than a feather that you can even step on raindrops almost as if you are dancing. You can walk on water, as if it is flat land, leap with the wind as if you are one-in-a whole. Your attacks are heavy like a rainstorm, yet quick and many. The most important thing, is that when it is raining, as long as you are using this step, you won't get a single hair wet.]
-[3rd Level]-
[Cloud Leaping]
[Your leaps carry no weight at all, as you seemingly leap on the cloud. You are one with the cloud, nothing can hit you, as you phase through everything like a cloud. But your attacks are deadly, and innocent. What may seem like simple jab, may carry the power of mountains.]
-[4th Level]-
[Sky Shattering Steps]
[Almost like out of a Fairytale, you walk on the sky itself. But the power behind it is way beyond the sky. You attacks carries the world, while you are lighter than light.]

[It is said that once you've reached a certain level of understanding, you can even bring back someones soul from a newly dead body, thus it's name Spiritual Acupoints.]
[-Yin Yang Divine Law-]
★★★★☆
[4/5]
[From the start of 12:00pm to 11:59am, it is yang hour, where 12:00pm is when Yang energy is at it's peak, while from 12:00am to 11:59pm, is Yin hours, 12:00am is when Yin Energy is at it's peak. During Yang hour, you are able to purify spirits, and free their soul to the after life, and also heal yourself and others at a faster rate. During yin hours, your understanding of curses and spell gets a buff, and you can also use what martial artists call 'Ghost Hitting Wall' It is a contraption that forces a person to go to in a endless circle, never getting their destination. The higher understanding it gets, the more difficult the 'Ghost Hitting Wall' becomes.]
[Warning: During Yang hour, you are weaker towards enemies that have abundance of Yin energy inside them, same thing when it is Yin hour, you are slightly weaker towards enemies that have strong Yang energy inside them]
Background/Backstory:
Elehah was a abandoned child left by his parents when thieves and mercenaries raided their village. But last moment was graciously saved by a young wandering physician, who was like a older brother to him. Elehah and his older brother traveled all around the world, seen disasters, experienced them, saved people and killed monsters.
Learning and improving from the skills his older brother taught him, the duo eventually became renown around the world. Martial artist, buddhas, and Cultivators alike fought for their treatment.
It is said that there is almost no injury in the world that can't be saved by the two.
Life was going well, until one day, when a portal appeared, and his brother got absorbed by it, and was never seen again. Elehah searched far and wide, but was never able to find a clue nor trace where his brother went. It was almost as if his brother just disappeared from reality.
Devastated, Elehah did not give up. He was stubborn and continued looking for clues, while advancing his skills.

Description:
She's a short and thin 5'4", easily overlookable, but extremely approachable.
Her hair is naturally a pale reddish-pink. No one really knows why.
Her favorite color is red, although with a last name like Crimsonfall, it would be sacrilegy otherwise.
The bandages that wrap around her body are both functional and cosmetic. Any evidence of "damage" is safely hidden beneath her clothes at all times.
.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.
Mannerisms:
She can be nervous at times, and generally surveys rooms before she enters into them. Her default expression is a small smile; practiced extensively, it is designed to put people at ease. Her trust is fairly difficult to gain. She doesn't appreciate the spotlight as bad things have happened to her in the past when she was the center of attention. But place her in a leadership position, and she will rise to the challenge with surprising results. She second-guesses herself more than she should, but Callisto is aware of this fact, and is working to have more self-confidence. There are times where she resents being approachable and "the nice girl," but most of the time, Callisto can appreciate the benefits her image brings. She is socially aware and emotionally intelligent. She still flinches if someone raises a hand to her, even after all this time.
.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.
Personality:
She's the girl everyone wants to be friends with. Callisto is kind, understanding, a general ray of sunshine, helpful, and loyal. Giving off an approachable vibe, she appears to be warm and inviting. It helps that she's quite pretty; her appearance is that of the girl you'd have your first kiss with and then barely give a second glance to. No one would dream of dating her long term... she's just not that type of girl. In her genuinity, she sometimes appears as a bit of a ditz, rather empty-headed aside from the matter at hand. You have been warned: that is a carefully cultivated persona. Callisto values being underestimated, understanding the strategic advantage. As soon as she is tested, all who encounter her on the training field fear her psychic prowess. Her offhand predictions of the future (how you did on last week's test, if you'll make a new friend, whether you'll embarass yourself at the assembly, how badly you'll hurt yourself in the upcoming spar match) are fairly accurate. People in general get the vibe to listen rather than ignore her advice as she is usually right.

Manuals & Skills:
[Illusionary Architect - ★★★★★]
[The construction of illusionary backgrounds, creations, or other objects. The smaller scale or simpler the illusion, the more realistic Calisto's representation is. With extreme amounts of energy, her illusions can take on physical matter. As she levels up this skill, she will eventually be able to create entire illusory worlds, and humans.]
[Level 4/10]
[Mind Reading - ★★★★☆]
[Self-explanatory. This is a conscious skill because passive mind reading is ridiculous. The higher someone's "intelligence" stat, the harder it it for Callisto to accurately read their mind.]

Background/Backstory:
Once upon a time, a child was born. Her mother died not long after, leaving behind the girl and her two older siblings. Their father, Lars, had never been a nice man, and his bottle became his replacement for their mother. He was a low-level Union man living in a house on the edge of Ashton City's northern District. Everything the family earned was gambled away on liquor and women. But the girl, Callisto, was powerful. She had a future...
Once upon a time, the three siblings grew up. Callisto's brother Evan, a decade and a half older, was resentful of said powers. He too made her life miserable until dying of some plague or other. No one missed him. Her sister, Fioria, was kind and just. They were the best of friends. When Fioria was accepted into the lower echelons of Lock, Callisto was left alone. She began to wander about the city, looking for the last scraggly bits of nature within its walls. But though Ashton gave up its secrets slowly, fifty million people were packed into its walls...
Once upon a time, there was an old "hag" called Enceladus, who lived in a dark and dreary concrete wood. She lived under a small and disheveled tree, and made it her business to keep the old thing alive. A young girl of about six stumbled into her alley one day, and began to ask questions, so many questions. The old woman told young Callisto tales of a planet called Melandoir, home of the elves. The demons came, taking over their paradise, corrupting their worldtree, and forcing them to flee to earth. Silver-haired Enceladus was one of the last of the elves with memories of their homeworld. She was extremely magically powerful, and over time, gained a soft-spot for Callisto...
Once upon a time, an old elfen women taught a human girl how to fight demons. Enceladus taught the naturally talented Callisto the arts of fortune-telling and future-sight, improving her psychic prowess. As the sole refuge from the girl's abusive household, Enceladus became the family that Callisto longed for. The single tree growing in the cracks of the alley marked the passage of time. Fioria sent occasional letters to her sister, and while they spoke of progress, Callisto knew she was miserable. At Lock, the strong preyed on the weak. A low-level hero whose only skill was sub-lightspeed was an easy target...
Once upon a time, a girl outlived all those who carried her blood. Fioria was killed by demons on a training mission gone wrong. The stipend the Central Government had sent as compensation disappeared in a week. Callisto was heartbroken. She hadn't even gotten to say goodbye. Then the Union sent her father outside the city walls. He too was weak, and was swiftly killed by demons. That money lasted Callisto much longer. This time, the girl didn't even shed a tear...
Once upon a time, the world was in danger. The demons of Wrath made an aggressive push, travelling closer and closer to Ashton. The Central Government panicked, and summoned the most powerful heroes in the land that no one would miss. Flashy superstars were good for morale. the unamed were... expendable. The Union sent a letter, this time for Enceladus. The old elf answered the call; though she settled with neither elves nor humans, earth had become her home as well. The demons of Wrath dominated the news cycle. Callisto felt in her bones that she had spoken to Enceladus for the last time...
Once upon a time, a girl received three letters. Callisto had sold the house for cash. She roamed the streets using her fortune-telling abilities to avoid selling something she would regret. The first letter came from the Central Government; it arrived at the tree that had withered in Enceladus's absence addressed to "whom it may concern." The girl was now truly alone in the world. Her tears watered the tree for a week. When she finally was able to stand, she realized the tree had bloomed for the first time ever. It was more alive than ever. A second letter was nestled in its branches, this one directly from Enceladus. That second letter gave her courage, and Callisto took the old elf's name as her own. The third letter was expected: she had been invited to take the entrance exams for Lock. And so, continuing to earn petty cash as a fortune teller, Callisto made her way to the fabled academy...
Once upon a time, a girl started the next chapter of her life...

My current RP work:
Artemis glanced down at his watch, as he strolled through the halls. He glanced up from the glowing screen of his phone every now and then, to check the classrooms, to figure out which one was A-20. He had completely aced the entrance exams, scoring 1st in the entirety of the 1st years. To be expected, of course, He was the grandson of the Spear God, after all.
When he pushed the doors of Class A-20 open, the whispered conversations stopped. Paying no attention to the sudden silence, Artemis took a seat at the back of the classroom, going back to swiping through his phone. He had no need to talk to these small fries. He put a handkerchief to his nose, grimacing. The people here smelled terrible.

He reached this far on his own two legs. But he actually never wanted to score this high, but subconsciously he just did. But he mustn't be overconfident.
Classrooms, after classrooms, Elehah walked past them expressionless, he was going to walk down this hallway for the next 4 years. Normally, people would be extremely excited, but he.. he just felt numb.
It wasn't long before he reached the classroom door of class A-20, he quietly pushed the door open, but didn't step inside immediatly, but instead glanced at the people inside. The whispering got quiet, there were many eyes on him.
This is where he is going to be stuck with for the next 4 years.
Without hesitation, Elehah stepped inside. It wasn't like him to hesitate, and doubt himself, every move he makes, is made with confidence and certainty. Not giving a glance to anyone, Elehah went for the seat near the back, behind the seat next to the window.
If he was going to spend his next 4 years here, he might as well put it to good use. Immediately after that thought, Elehah slouched down on his chair against his desk and closed his eyes, then started meditating.
He mustn't waste any time, his brother is waiting for him.
Come on... Show me that this class won't be as boring as I think.

He wasn't really sure exactly how he got here. Maybe his old grandpa had actually taught him some useful stuff. Kylian didn't even know he had the capacity to pay attention to that old man. His grandma was better at teaching, and all that stuff about plants really intrigued Kylian.
But this was it, this was where his grandpa's scoldings had placed him. Fate could've placed him anywhere else, and it placed him here. Well, he would take advantage of this and try his best...while also having fun.
He wasn't sure if this experience would be fun or torturous. He would have to find out.
Quite an interesting combination. An energetic, joking herbologist?
He kept the handkerchief to his nose. Everything smelled terrible. Even scents that would normally be alright were amplified far beyond their normal scale.

They simply picked a spot near center of the room, similar to how they always used to think. "Center places for Center people." She silently said to herself, smiling and sitting down, taking a few things out of the bag. Some pencils, a piece of paper, a pocket watch... and just occasionally throwing a glance back at Artemis.
You know the first rule in combat? shoot them before they shoot you.
If they're so approachable, then why did they smell like cinnamon?

Or is it

Knowledge is power, after all, he thought, smiling inwardly.
He glanced around. According to his calculations, there should be one last person entering, and then the professor, Gilber Allen, The Flaming Swordsman. He scoffed at the thought.
Swords are far inferior to spears.

This didn't bother Artemis much. He had a decent idea of what he needed to do. he had made plans for the first month, to get as far ahead of everyone as possible. He didn't just want to be first. No, no. He wanted to be first and make sure everyone else was thoroughly crushed.
wickedness?
Or is it
weakness?

Callisto knew that she was one of those people that looked approachable. She usually was, too. But the people in this school took advantage of each other for nefarious purposes; Callisto had heard the rumors. Besides, it was all rainbows and sunshine until she predicted that they would die a painful death, or something else ridiculous. The curse of future sight.
Voices buzzed at the edges of her consciousness, the annoying whine that was the thoughts of the people around her. It was as if she was underwater; while she couldn't make out what they were saying, she knew the voices were there. It was a dead useful trick to figure out where concealed people were hiding, but she would need to expend mana to find out anything useful. Callisto was not going to read their minds yet, anyway. Best not to make enemies before she knew anyone.
She ended up sitting in the second to last row, her shoulder against the wall. (At least there was one angle no one could sneak up on her from.) The students back here were an eclectic mix, but at least they looked interesting. They didn't flash fake smiles when someone walked in the door. They were... direct.

My current RP work:
An example could be the dude that came in right before he did, his spirit body was extremely sturdy, even though it was small, it gave off a alarmingly powerful energy.
Or the girl that was peaking at everyone, including his thoughts at the moment. The fact that her spirit body was pretty nosy, did not give off a good impression first glance. But who in this class even gave off a good impression?
None.
Thus is why, he chose not to judge them yet, and instead, he first closed off entry to his thought, and continued meditating. Perhaps it was just one of the perks of being in the second to best class, but the amount of [Qi] in here, is more abundant than the rest of the campus.
What did that mean?
It just meant that he can get stronger, and improve faster, that's all.
Weapons class... Callisto wasn't a huge fan. She preferred mental combat. Her only weapons skills were with tossable ranged objects or projectile-type ballistae, like throwing knives and darts. Her set of throwing knives had been enchanted by Enceladus to always return to her hand, a useful trick. She was extremely confused as to why a swordsman would teach everyone in the class, when many of them utilized other weapons.
