TLOZ BOTW: Age of the new champions (group rp)
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Private RP → TLOZ BOTW: Age of the new champions (group rp)100 years ago, the champions perished in the battle against calamity ganon
The battle was won, but no heroes survived. Not even the legendary Link
Now that they’re gone, who’s going to take down calamity ganon once again?
A new line of champions. That is if they can reclaim their divine beasts
Calamity Ganon is on the rise again. With the original champions dead and with no hope left for the world, Purah has chosen a new line of champions, as well as a Hyllian to take down Ganon once again.
As the world was too dangerous to hold a proper ceremony, each champion received their own ceremony in their hometowns. Armed with their former champion’s powers, the only thing holding them back from defeating Ganon is their own divine beasts, who are still under Ganon’s control…
As well as the divine beasts, Link’s master sword is still unknown. Just where in Hyrule is it? And can it be recovered before Ganon’s return?

Username: Dragamagius
Character name: Cressi “Rito Astronomer”
Gender: female
Pronouns: she/her
Race: Rito
Appearance: Cressi is a Rito resembling the Southern white face owl with rich brown feathers and white markings. She wears the traditional Rito outfit, although in dark blues and greys, and her beloved spyglass is hanging from her belt alongside her notes.
Personality: Cressi is kind, courageous, and a bender of rules. Even from a young age she was acting on her own without a care of what others thought of her. She is also hardworking, having the desire to prove to her village that she can be as great as Revali. In other words, she wants to prove herself to those who believe she can’t be the rito champion because she’s a female.
Weapon of choice: Falcon bow
Backstory: Cressi was an astronomer, and often stayed up late charting stars and constellations. She was looked up by the children and often looked after them. After becoming champion she became Teba’s apprentice and currently works with him to improve her combat. Some question about the Rito champion being a female Rito, and some are downright against the idea.

Character name: Jester
Gender: ?
Pronouns: They/Them (everyone just calls them "them" because nobody knows who tf they are. Some call hom "it")
Race: Hylian
Appearance: Jester stands at around 6'5, astonishingly tall for a Hylian. They wear a dark, tattered cloak over a crimson Jester's outfit. They constantly wear a smiling, golden mask. Not even his eye color is known, the eyeholes in his mask showing nothing but a black void. Only his arms and mouth are visible. The length of his arms are riddled with jagged scars, and his mouth is cut in a glasgow smile.
Personality: Jester is a strange person. They never seem to fully open up, their past is somewhat of a mystery and nobody seems to truly know who they are. The one thing that stays consistent, however, is the maniacal, uncontrollable laughter that always comes with them. The few people that know this mysterious stranger describes them as "playful", "snarky" and "Unhinged." Despite this, they're a incredible fighter.
Weapon of choice: Blizzard Wand/Great Thunderblade/Mighty Lynel Bow + Fire/Bomb Arrows
Backstory: Something of a jack-of-all-trades, Jester appeared, rather mysteriously, around 2 years ago, and quickly made a
name for themself, taking down a Blue-maned Lynel in the Akkala wilds, Taking down a Blizzrobe, and taking down a Stalnox in Hyrule Forest Park. It is unknown where they came from, who they are, what their name really is, even their gender. They seem to frequently change their fighting style, quickly switching between weapons based on his situation.

Character name: Marli
Gender: Female
Pronouns: She/Her
Race: Gerudo
Appearance: Fitting in was never easy for Marli. While she has the typical red hair and traditional Gerudo outfit, she still stands out. She has chestnut skin that has scarce scars from run ins with the Yiga, and her red hair is tied into a high ponytail that hangs down to her lower back. Her accessories are of traditional Gerudo gold, and her clothes could be compared to Urbosa's, as she looks up to the former champion.
Personality: Her personality is very...conflicting. She's serious most of the times, but depending on her mood she can be a flirt. She's caring, even if it doesn't seem like it, and empathetic, but can be sarcastic and rude. It really depends on her mood, which can change in an instant.
Weapon of choice: (pre champion weapon) Moonlight Scimitar
Backstory: (what did they do before becoming champion?) Warrior, rose the ranks of the Gerudo warriors and eventually became the best. Works along with Buliara, and knows a lot of history behind Hylia as a whole. Takes great pride in her studies, which is why she was perfect for the role of Champion.
Other: by Hylia I didn't think making a Gerudo character would be this hard
If this was pre calamity days, you would’ve seen Ritos in the sky, soaring and diving in the bright blue sky. However with Vah Medoh around they could no longer fly around in their desired altitude. Even the oldest of the ritos were told to not fly anywhere near that thing, unless you want to be shot down by its lasers. The Rito warrior, Teba, and his champion apprentice have plans for a full assault on the mechanical beast, although some are doubting the plan due to the Rito champion’s gender…
As a flying divine beast that could be seen from anywhere, it’s no wonder why two of the 5 champions decided to head to Rito village in an effort to help out.
"Now, where could a couple of little bird warriors be -HAah- Hiding, hm? I come all this way from my humble abode up in Akkala and nobody even gree-"
They cut off from his words, letting out a bout of maniacal laughter. Their voice seemed... off. It was strangely distorted, dispite there being no sort of voice modifier over their, clearly exposed, mouth.
"-ts me? How disappointing, it is, it is!"
They spun in a wide, lazy circle. They let out a wheezing, rattling laugh, completely ignoring the frost running across the length of their burnt, scarred arm. They continued up the stairs, ignoring looks from curious Rito villagers, until he got to Teba's hut shack house thing.

She grumbled something about it being a little cold as she made her way up the stairs, looking for Teba.
“So did you hear about what Teba and that champion is planning?” A Rito was talking with another Rito about the Rito warrior, and the champion under his wing. “A full on assault on Medoh! I heard Teba’s been gathering as many bomb arrows as possible!”
“I doubt it’ll work. Vah Medoh has that protective barrier.” The Rito listening to them answered, expressing their thoughts. “Don’t you think Teba should’ve been the Rito champion all along? Just what does our current champion have that Teba doesn’t?”
As they walked on, several Rito children ran past and stood on Revali’s landing, as if they were waiting for something.
"Misogyny, Misogyny, Misogyny! How old-fashioned it is, it is, it is!"
he made his way up to Revali's Landing, peering out over the edge, towering over the children.
'What do you see, see, children?"

they hummed, a peal of laughter breaking through their sentence.
"Perhaps the flight range, range?"
They pulled a arrow out of his bag, examining the tip. the frost running up the length of their arm melted away, as they slung the Blizzard Rod over their back.
