"Stop talking to yourself. Let's go." She walked outside and into the dark streets of the village, seeing a faint candle in the window of the manor. "Over there. That's where we're staying." She guided them to the large estate, walking inside and looking around. "Not bad... At least the chill is gone. Everyone go find a room, get some rest."

Kendo stayed outside, sitting by the door. He sipped from his mug. He didn't sleep, after all.

Tom noticed some unfamiliar faces heading into the manor right outside the alleyway that he had claimed as tonight's bed.
"I wonder where they came from..." he thought aloud.

This is the only time of night where she's the least guarded. She always receives reports from me, but lately I haven't been able to send any because of the increase in soldiers. I need you to infiltrate the castle and give that to her. Hopefully you're skilled, because the castle lies far beyond the clouds." She kept a neutral, almost bored expression on her face. "If you have any questions about this or her, ask now."

Kendo got up, stretching. He grabbed the scroll, dropping it into a portal.

"No problem. I've been doing this kind of stuff for a long time. 's not a problem."

He grinned, disappearing in a blue flash.

High in the sky, far above what anyone could visibly see, was the land and palace of the Saint Deity, long taken over by Legion and turned into a base of operations. From the Saint Deity's perspective and view, she was nothing more than a bird in a cage with its wings clipped. She was trapped, forced to live by the wishes and orders of another. At least the view of the moon was rather nice...

Kendo appeared in the sky, casting a shadow in the sky by the light of the moon, just small enough not to be noticed by anyone but the sharpest of eyes. His ice-blue eyes glowed slightly in the night.

The goddess saw the strange being, partially covering her gaze of the moon. Her body shifted slightly, sitting up in the plush bed of her bedroom- locked and guarded at all times by a soldier outside.

He flickered in and out of existence, getting closer, making sure not to be seen. The only sign of him even being there was the slightest blue glow in the night sky and the tiniest of hints of strawberry in the air.

She sat lightly on her knees, pairs of wings folded at her back and draped behind her on the blankets. She gazed longingly at the moon, silently wishing and praying for the safety of her land and people.

Then, suddenly, with a blue flash, Kendo was there, inside the room. He whistled through his teeth, as he looked around.

She flinched, covering her face with her arms at the sound of another's voice in the room. Was it a guard? Was he going to hurt her as well? She didn't speak, fearing the outcome of what happened the last time she said something without permission.

Kendo's grin was cheerful, as he locked onto the saint.

"Aye, You must be the saint, eh? A pleasure t'meet ya! Kendo Sato, Jester Extrodinaire, Magician, Swordsman, Immortal, Time-Traveller, Dimension Hopper, Resistor of Tyrants, Breaker of 4 Walls, Freedom Fighter, Vehement Hater of Oppressors, Knight in Shining Armor, At your service, m'lady."

His tone was light and cheerful, joking almost.

Current nods, waving bye at Kendo and sighing. "Well at least he gets to see the Saint Deity. Must be nice..." She sighs a bit dreamy and turns around, making sure her sleeping grounds in the manor worked out.

Unbeknownst to her, Future didn't actually listen to her. Her clock still had time left, so.... what does she do? Correct: Dial herself to Kendo with a clock that Current snuck into his pocket. Though she didn't do it as loud and flamboyant as her counterpart and instead clocked in silently with a stealth & silence spell equipped. She just watches, in case something went wrong.

You know the first rule in combat? Shoot them before they shoot you.
