Isla Greer
Isla tipped her head to the side. So they are lovers, she thought, eyeing them. She'd thought it was an exaggeration on Legion's part- done to drive up the importance of his pet prisoner and make himself seem all the more powerful.
Seeing them like this though... it felt a little annoying, and she wasn't sure why. Perhaps it was how quickly she'd grown to trust an outsider over a Macedonian.
Although...It's not like we've been the paragon of loyalty lately.
She sighed, deeply through her nose. "Is he coming with us, Saint?"

Isla Greer
Isla's mouth opened slightly, an "o" of understanding. "So you really are his prisoner..." she mused. The two of them were so close- it sent an odd pang through her heart. "I was wondering just how much of that was fabrication."
How permanent is his spell? she wondered. It surely can't be on the Saint- considering his plan. But what has he done to this man...?
No, that was the wrong way to think about it. It was the same for both of them.
For a reason- somehow, this obnoxious fool is a precious piece for Legion- one he keeps under closer watch than his weapon of mass destruction. Is such a thing possible? Someone more powerful than the Saint?
This building was dangerous. Everyone in it would play a role in a future she had yet to forsee. Blood hovered on the horizen- And just who's it would be, would be determined by the two sitting in front of her.
The very thought made her skin crawl. She hadn't felt so powerless since she was a little girl, cowering from her father's blows. You had no idea who held the power anymore- only the certainty that whoever did was your enemy.

Isla Greer
Isla accepted her hand, choosing to shut down her mind for a moment. Panic wouldn't help anyone. "Of course. I'll order my soldiers to prepare transportation at once."
Her hand twitched by her sword- everything had just been politics, politics, politics. She itched for some action.
"I hope to see you again soon, when we can continue our conversation." She gave Kendo a mocking smile. "I'd look forward to it, if I were you."

Isla Greer
Isla matched his smirk with her own. "Didn't I already tell you I'd soon be elevated to a god? You seem to have a pretty weak memory. For her sake, I certainly hope that's all the smallness you're compensating for."
She scoffed, turning to smile at the Saint. "Well, my dear? I think we can discuss something with the soldiers outside- right now, if that's alright."

Isla Greer
She gave Kendo a mocking little bow. "If you'll excuse us, little man-" she shot him a smile as they left. As soon as the doors shut, she straightened her posture and addressed the men standing guard outside her door.
"Prepare transport immediately. Use the utmost discretion."

Isla Greer
Isla marched, cavalry by her side, careful to keep her eyes peeled against the twilight- this was a perfect time for an ambush- late at night, when the Saint's defenses had shrunken to a single Snavian squadron.
And here I am, defending the very fools who have taken my Angel, and crucified her a sacrifice, right out in the open, she thought bitterly.
But deep down, she knew it was the right call. This was obviously a test- one she was determined to pass. The rebels couldn't win. Legion had beaten Macedon at full strength. A bunch of ragged misfits could do nothing against his overwhelming power.
That was why he'd entrusted such an "important" task to her- because it wasn't. Nothing about it made sense, because he undoubtedly had a backup. Some spy trailing them, keeping them in line.
She bit her lip, fighting the urge to sweep her magic around for the tenth time since they left. It was unlikely she'd catch them this time, anyway- so she would just look around and settle down, as if she trusted her guards-
The Saint appeared to be thinking.
Oh... perhaps...
She sidled up to her. "Do you know who's following us?" she whispered.
