my first shiny game was diamond. i was really young and foolish and i thought if i stayed in the unown ruins long enough i'd finally find a different unown variation and ended up finding a shiny f unown. i flipped out because an older sibling told me to go get them if i ever saw a pokemon that was the wrong color, so i did catch it and i believe its in pokemon bank.

the same day, i encountered a shiny geodude.

My first shiny was in pokemon pearl, it was a Purugly, I nearly killed it with close combat from my Lv. 75 Infernape, it was Lv. 57, until my thumb was a millimeter away from killing it, until my brain registered what it was. I may have slightly exaggerated how close I was to killing it, but I was really close, later I caught 3 shines in ultra moon within a 30 minute time priod from the ultra wormhole. figured I'd mention it.

Please train Typhlosion (No idea if I spelled it right).

Other than the guaranteed shiny in Pokemon Soul Silver (Red/Shiny Gyarados), my first shiny was a Trapinch in Pokemon Moon. It was actaully the start of the new year and I just got the game (a bit late but o well), and I was just in the desert area and I cam across Trapinch and went: "Oh, that's an odd colored Trapinch..." I didn't realize that it was shiny untl the star appeared LMAO. I caught it and now its with my gal in Pokemon Sword :D

Granted, there might've been other times in previous games that I have encountered a shiny, I just didn't think much of it since I wasn't all that online to know what was shiny- although I do remember getting various shinies from the event distrubutions on Pokemon X & Y. Ig you can really say that is where I got into shiny hunting, but I don't really remember my first shiny from those games. If anything, the ones that I had that weren't Event Distrubutions- I guess the Shiny Huntail I got from trade was the first...but honestly, due to the conditions of that, Shiny Trapinch was the first.

- As for other shinies from other games here are the others for funzies:
Sword: I haven't personally achieved one yet; Planning to get one with my OT attached to the pkm. Although Shiny Vaporeon from trade can take the honorable mention slot

Legends Arceus: Other than the guaranteed Shiny Ponyta, mine was Shiny Staravia (unevolved, caught it as is). funnily enough I caught Shiny Luxio and Shiny Bidoof in that order, I thought it was funny because it was the first 3 pokemon you catch in game. (Obviously at first stage).

Pokemon Violet: Shiny Weavile. I was just out expolring. I had a similar take with him like I did with Trapinch.

so that was...an encounter lmaooo. He was a bit hard to catch since he was like...50+ i think and I didn't have the proper gym badges so on top of being hard to catch and him not listening to me- he has earned the name Brat. Hehe. I love him though. I think he's the first shiny I have actually used to beath the game/champions. (I boxed Trapinch as soon as (s)he evolved into a Flygon). Or I think I did use her...I'll have to look back lol.

My first shiny was a full odds shiny hypno in Soul Silver! I found it while looking for ralts during a breakout on the route near the daycare lol. Since then I've gotten a few in Ultra Sun and I plan on trying to actively shiny hunt in some of my other games again (I often gave up when I was younger because I found it pretty boring lol). I'm currently replaying Soul Silver after getting a shiny totodile after 20 resets~

Ultra Sun. I caught so many shinies while I was searching for all of the legendaries in the Ultra Wormhole. And I also caught a shiny while training and hatched one from a random egg that I only bred for dex completion. I’ve been playing Pokémon since I was only 4 years old, I’ve played at least one game from every gen from Gens 1-7, and I’ve never encountered a shiny in any other game, except for one in Y that I knocked out because I was training while distracted with something else and the camera angle prevented me from seeing it. Weirdly, though, I did end up contracting Pokérus while EV training in Emerald recently.
