Whispering Willows RP



It’s happened. The USA and other global powers have discovered you. And they want to add you to their military arsenal.


Your great grandparents and others like them were discovered for their powers. The government wanted to selfishly use them for their military. They fled, and found an island; a tropical, uninhabited paradise. Venetus Island.(it’s latin) Now, you and your friends at Venetus High School are the future of the Venieceans. The Whispering Willows of Spirits are where you can talk to other magic users; alive on the other side of the world(during day) and also dead(at night.) You are the strongest, being the youngest and most able. Now, 90 years after the first of your kind settled, the USA found you. Every so often, there are attacks. Classes have been suspended for the year. It’s fight time.

There are two kinds of magic; Lux and Tenebris magic (latin for light and dark). Lux magic flourishes in the day, especially in pure sunlight. Tenebris is strongest at night, especially in a full moon.

Atticus had already chosen a rose bush to stake his claim. He plucked the most prosperous one, he identified it as "Chrysler Imperial". He inhaled. The airy and fruity scent carried him away. He plucked a petal and popped it in his mouth. Glorious. He drained it of it's color and dropped it on the ground where it withered and died.

Nex saw some newcomer in the rose garden next to the orchards. She sent umbra over to ask.

Umbra crawled over and made itself an illusion of being Nex.
"Who are you? New to the refugee? If you have any questions, go ahead and ask the real Nex over there!" It pointed to Nex. Umbra then ceased the illusion and crawled away.

Tanner as usual was exploring the big, deeply wooded forest on the island and went to the edge to see if there was anyone nearby, he saw some people picking fruit and berries and decided to watch them from a tree. If he were to get any closer he'd be in the light he'd have to revert back to his normal form so people don't get startled by his appearance, if they could see him that is.
These guys are cool

Cosima gripped her belongings as she stepped off of the boat that had brought her here. She felt sick - Chased out of her own home when they reported her for manipulating moonlight. She wasn't even doing anything bad; the streetlight had gone out and a pair of cars where about to smash into each other.

She sighed. I guess I'm here now...

Kaori looked hesitantly at the groups of people. Was this place crawling with demons, and the others not knowing? Or was this the one place that was empty of demons, rid of them forever. But she lost her Nichirin sword, and she would need some sort of fighting method, if there were demons. Without her Nichirin sword, she wasn't able to use her Moon Breathing Form, and then she would be offenseless (like defenseless, but with defense and no offense except for fighting techniques). She was able to fight, but if there were demons, she would need her sword to cut off its head, otherwise she'll have to wait until dawn.

Tanner spotted something stabbed into a tree next to him and jumped down to see it clearly, it seemed to be weird katana, he grabbed it and pulled it out revealing the blade to be an odd metal, he stayed in his shade form in case anyone was nearby and jumped back onto the tree, he wrote a note saying, "You dropped this. :)" And left it on the sword, he saw a girl wandering around, probably looking for it, and dropped the sword and the note behind her.

Nex finished picking her mangos and brought them to he brother. She peeled one and cut it for her brother. The rest she took to the school. On her way, she stopped by the Whispering Willows. She grabed a leaf from a tree and wraped a mango in it. She then tossed it deep into the forest. "To one of us who needs it" she said, hoping that someone on the other side of the world would recieve it; and hopefully it would give them strength. She the dropped off her woven basket of mangoes at the elementary school. They needed it for the alchemists in training. And it was also good fuel for the others.

Cosima had no idea where she was supposed to go. All she hoped was that she didn't run into anyone, and she was too scared to ask. She glanced further along the island. At least it's somewhat pretty...

She continued on to the docks, looking for new arrivals. She saw a strange girl and walked over. "Oh, my sword!" She ran over and picked up the sword. She tossed it to umbra who melted it away; teleporting it to Nex's brother. "Anyway, Hi!" She exclaimed to the girl. "Name and power please! Welcome to the island I can take you to your new home depending on your catgory!" Her little monster jumped off her to go show Kaori around.

Nex continued her walk and found Cosmia. "Oh hello!!! New to the island? I'm Nex, a Royal of the island."
Royals were ones with pure blood of original setlers.

Tanner saw something fly by his face and caught it, keeping silent so nobody hears him he smiles unwraps it, and eats it. Afterwards he saw someone who seemed lost and tree hopped close to her so she didn't see him but he could see what she was doing, he thought for a second and saw Nex run over and smiled as she was the one who unknowingly tossed him a mango, He stayed in his shade form since it was still day he was harder to see.

Tanner noticed the girl seemed uncomfortable and threw a long branch into the ground 5 feet away from the two to cause a distraction then hid behind a branch on the tree he was on.

Nex looked at the branch, unamused. It was day, so the Willow Spirits weren't awake. A human threw this at them. It couldn't be an attack from inside the forest, the Willows would tear apart humans that entered. Only Royals were allowed to go to the heart of the forest; other magic-users could go near the outsides. "Who threw that? Show yourself..." she called umbra to her, "Or suffer the consequences."

"Annoying much?"

She turned to Cosmia "Lux or Tenebris?"
