A drifting continent by the name of Rhydian arrives in Tevyat and Lumine (In this universe, Aether is the abyss twin) travels there to scout out the new land due to a large commission promising great riches in the form of 1 million primogems and 66 million mora (Dango and Osmanthus and dandelion Wine are also offered) Turns out during the Archon war, Celestia offered a deal to the three gods ruling the continent together as friends. They could all opt out of the war and guarantee that they wouldn’t be killed by others like Rex Lapis, Barsibatos and the Raiden shogun, but two of the three gods would have to die, while the Survivor would become an eighth Archon. All three agreed to this, so Celestia granted the three a Gnosi core containing their life force for each of them to safeguard , placing a core combiner that would turn into a Gnosis when all three cores are placed into it into a ruin baited with traps and guardians, bidding the three gods to seek out, rip away the other twos Gnosi cores and place them into the core combiner when they were last and supreme ruler of the island. When Celestia left, the gods gatnered a meeting and made a plan to seal away the Gnosi cores with the core combiner while remaining friends. To ensure that they wouldn’t be attacked by Celestia due to this act of treachery, they brought their power together and forcefully unanchored the island, causing it to drift away from Tevyat and out of Celestia’s reach. However, the god of writing, literature and history was a power hungry egomaniac who wanted more power. In a turn of events, they struck at the god of philosophy, thought and logic while they were focusing their power upon the task of unanchoring the island, in a bid to seize their Gnosi core and getting one step closer to becoming a archon and extending their sphere of influence. Succeeding, the god of philosophy was weakened, forcing them to go into a deep slumber to stay alive. Before the god of literature could pursue them and finish the job , the god of art, creation and imagination stepped in to beat back the god of literature, rage fuelling them to declare war upon them. Soon, the humans on the island began to take notice and took sides, raising banners and declaiming their former friends and family. Centuries passed, war waged onwards. Eventually, due to the god of literature interupting the forced unanchoring, Rhydian made its way back to the shores of Tevyat once more. The god of art, now fighting for well over a hundred years has forgotten why they were fighting in the first place, now reduced to a war hungering sadist with a openly voiced desire to paint a picture of agony with the god of literatures blood, then taking their core for themselves to become an Archon.
