I can do stuff myself, I can be independent! I don't need anymore help- He just didn't realize that he did need help. He didn't say anything in response.

He could hear a voice in the back of his head. You're already too dependent. You heard your mom complaining that you need to be more independent. So stop depending on others for help.

He was hurting in a lot of places. Mentally, physically, emotionally... He just wanted to go back and sleep the rest of the day.

He scoffed at himself. No, school is important. Whatever this thing is--because it cannot be that disease--it'll be over soon. Hopefully.
