Theo stepped out of the movie theater, letting his eyes adjust for a second before speaking. "...Remind me to not watch a movie with you again." Now, he liked reading horror books. But not watching horror movies. Too spooky.

~~i just wanna write this little scene and we can time skip to the next day, which is Saturday :>~~

"Hey, ma?" Theo called when he got home, walking into his mother's study. "Can you take me to a doctor or something?"

"What? You're not sick, are you?" His mother replied, putting the back of her hand on his forehead. "No, no. I don't think so. It's just a cough."

"Just a cough?"

"Yeah." He didn't wanna mention the part about the flower petals or the blood.

"Well, honey it's that time of the year. It's probably nothing and will be gone in a week."

"But-"

"No buts. We're not taking you to a doctor, that'll take up too much time."

Theo huffed as a response, and his mom eyed him. "Don't give me that sass, young man."

"Alright, mom. I'm sorry. I'll be going to bed now, good night." He said, leaving the room. As soon as he stepped into his own room, he coughed into his elbow. Violently. Three petals fell now, mostly covered in blood. And there were blood splotches on his arm too. ...That hurt.

He wasn't able to sleep.

Kendo got up. It was bright, contrary to how he felt. He felt god-awful. He was worried about Theo. He opened the door to the bathroom. He stepped into the shower. Afterward, he slipped on a crumpled white shirt and black shorts. He carefully combed his brown hair as he looked at himself in the mirror, hair tie bit between his teeth. After he brushed his hair, he tied it into a neat ponytail. Without a word, he left the house, slipping on his hoodie and bag.

Theo did not feel better in the morning. In fact, he felt way worse. The only probably normal part about this day was him not wanting to get up out of bed. That happened every morning, but coughing out rose petals did not. He didn't get a lot of sleep due to the coughing.

He sat up, groggily looking around his room. What time is it...
