Should be agree to this request? There is much reason not to, but he knew from experience not to underestimate anyone, if you want respect.
Plus, this would be a good opportunity to warm up before the assessment in the morning.
After thinking through for a moment, Ayran nodded politely, "It's no problem."
Let me tell you a secret,

Yes, perhaps it was stupid for her to have stayed in the training center all night, but the blood moon was something that she always steered clear of. Nothing but bad luck and darkness emanated from it. She remembered the words that her mother had whispered to her one night, so long ago...
On the night that the blood moon rises,
The demons come out in all their disguises...
The monster now sealed by the princess's soul,
Reaches out to the world that he ruled long ago...
Bad luck comes to those who walk in its light,
A cruelty that not even magic can fight...
So masters of darkness, avoid the moon's gaze,
Lest you'll forever be trapped in its haze...
She strode through the grounds quickly, trying to clear her mind. Her book was tucked under her arm as always. She grabbed food from the dining hall, and settled down to eat under an old tree. If she closed her eyes, she could feel its life force travelling through its roots into the ground.
What so many people failed to realize was that her magic was not evil. Dark magic was magic with a cruel intent behind it, magic that was designed to make someone hurt. Her magic was but shadow and blood, night and bone. Upon completing her meal, she rose, and slipped into the classroom in which her first lesson was.
Blocking out the rest of the world, she opened her book, and began to read.

"All students, please enter the training area for the ranking test."
Scarlett walked in, head down, and picked up a sword, examining it's edges.
"Guess that's it for today." Athena sheathed her sword after blocking one last attack. Ayran was strong, but she could manage to hold her own against him. And she knew a bit about his fighting style now, which was always a good thing.

Rubbing her eyes, because she was rather tired, she sat down. Cath was back in the bleachers again. Today was the ranking test. Cath couldn't wait to show all the students who underestimated her, that magic was better than their stupid swords. Yes, some of them would pose a problem, and these were the weapon-users that Cath actually respected. But she had the power to manipulate blood and bone. Maybe they were right to fear her, and the others from the shadows.

My current RP work:
Ayran unsummoned his weapon and thought about the spar that happened just now, 'Shes pretty good, perhaps this school won't be too boring after all'
'Though I did earn something from this fight, which is something I didn't expect'
Ayran smirked lazily, "I hope we get to spar again soon Athena..."
Let me tell you a secret,
The real monsters don't look like monsters~
And still, she was silent. A ghostly specter watching.
