The bell rang, and students seemed to have developed a tradition of screaming and going crazy whenever that happened. It was Assembly again, the teachers really had a lot to say.

Athena rolled her eyes as she straightened up. Really, what was it with these people!? It wasn't like being late was the end of the world, and they weren't going to be late anyways. That's why the bell rang 5 minutes before class. 5 minutes was more than enough time to get to class, at least for her. There were rumors that the school was setting up teleportation technology to let students get to class faster. Maybe other students were slower.

Leaping gracefully onto the roof of the auditorium, she lowered herself down into the shadows and walked out to mingle with the crowd casually. She tried to keep the fact that she could leap around roofs a secret, there was no need making people fascinate over her more than they already did. And there were some accidents with students trying to follow her in the schools where she had accidentally leaked that she spent a lot of time on the roofs.

Sophie was part of the crowd, and wandered into the assembly hall. She sat down so she could have a good view of the chaos, but wasn't too close as to warrant suspicion. She didn't know where Kendo and Athena were, but there were two open seats just in case the decided to show up.

It was never meant to be.

Athena sat down on the other side of Sophie. "Thanks for saving seats!" Glancing up at the seats they had rigged, she narrowed her eyes... Those weren't the Waterstreams they were going to prank were they?

~~AHHH I didn't see this had updated~~

"The plan is indeed... coming along..." She trailed off. Athena was right, those were not the right people. But Sophie had planned for this, why hadn't they sat there? She found them in the crowd. They were on the other side of the aisle, sitting, waiting. She tried to listen to their conversation.

"Ewwww, I can't believe there was a bug on the chair!"

"Yeah. Good thing you killed it~"

They were all flirting with that idiot again. He was ugly af, anyway.

Wait. Bug. Ted. WHERE WAS TED???

She frantically looked for him, he wasn't on her shoulder. She stood up, and walked to the rows where she had set the trap. Fury filled Sophie Huang. They had killed him. He was smushed into the floor, ground up under someone's bootsole. She sat back down, holding back tears.

He was just a bug. But for a brief moment, he had been her friend. Now, he was just another symbol of everything taken from her and crushed under someone else's boot. She wordlessly took the trigger out of her pocket and put it on her lap, staring down at it. She wasn't in the mood for talking.

She pasted a terrifying smile on her face, and watched the Headmistress begin the assembly. The trigger was on her lap. One push of a button and it would all be... chaos. Glorious, terrible chaos. She almost wanted to do it anyway, set the boundaries to envelop the entire hall except for their three chairs...

But she didn't she got as far as changing the warding boundaries before thinking better of it. Coward, she thought. But Sophie did not want to go back to the Headmistress's office for that. Better to go for a successful prank than a failed one after all.

Athena glanced at Cath again, then up at the students sitting where their targets were supposed to be. This could go two ways: horribly wrong, or blandly plain. It all depended on that button sitting on Cath's lap. She trusted Cath enough to let her make the decision, so she turned her attention to the assembly instead.

The HM announced that today's assembly would be about the house system. She began explaining about house points, how they can be earned in house competitions and rewarded for good performance. The house with the most points would win the House Cup for that year, and all students in that house would receive a reward that was yet to be decided.

Athena fidgeted. This was boring. She knew all about the house system, and had already earned countless points for her house. The HM was still rambling on about how to house system promoted sportsmanship and teamwork... She could pretty much recite all the words if she wanted to, the entire thing was written in the booklet on houses that had been passed out on the first day.
