A figure with a fox mask watches them from a far, having a hood over their face. They are very quiet as they started to slowly get closer to them.

Charisma enters into their new dorm. It looked quite nice to say the least. The pillows were soft and the blanket was really cozy, and even better there was a bookshelf and study desk nearby.

The bell rang. The next class was Assembly, and it was mandatory for everyone to attend. The school had something extremely important to announce.

Athena was still sleeping when the bell rang. She was feeling quite a bit better, but still slightly tired. Racing across the rooftops once again, she reached Assembly a few minutes before it started, settling down into her usual seat.

“Welcome students to the first Assembly of the year! I would like to start off by saying how well everyone is doing, and how I hope to see you all grow as the year goes on.” Headmistress Stanpnacia steps up to the podium and begins speaking.

Athena rolled her eyes here. Yeah, definitely doing very well.

“Onto the important part. Today’s Assembly is about the Children’s Magical Tournament.” The HM pauses for a moment as whispers pass through the crowd. “Let us welcome Councillor Hetinis, who is the organizer of this tournament!” Everyone clapped and cheered. “Passing it over to Councillor Hetinis, who will explain the tournament.”

Councillor Hetinis spoke in a deep voice. “This tournament is the most important in all of our realm’s glorious history. It will find the strongest of all age groups. And the strongest of the kingdom. Every single age group will have a hundred children battle it out to find the Champions. Then those Champions will compete in one final round. The winner will be crowned the Ultimate Champion. He or she will receive the highest honors known to children, along with a prize of 1,000,000,000 coins.” Here, more excited whispers passed through the crowd. “As you can see, the selection process in your school has already began. Ten students per age group will be chosen to represent your school. So study hard, do your best, and may the best be crowned!” Everyone cheered and clapped some more.

Athena was interested now. This was her chance to prove that she wasn’t a delicate princess who hid behind her family’s fame and power. Or Kendo for that matter. She could fend for herself. And she was going to show it.

The students left excitedly, all chatting about the tournament and placing bets on who would win.
