Matsunaga flicked his arm. She stared at the door as they came upon it, hesitant to open it. "Hm... I don't know about this. Are you all ready?"

Iteral just gives a thumbs up, she was still a little upset about Matsunaga but... hey, now's not the time for arguing between the two or whatever. She had a task, she'd fulfill it. So, she hands her "teammate" a little flashlight, one you could attach to your keys, and remained silent.

Matsunaga didn't even turn back to look at the flashlight, instead entered the room. It was empty, surprisingly, save for the people in cells. There was a large cell in the back, housing Mercy's siblings and draining their magic even then. "There they are."

"So what's the plan?" Iteral said, turning on the flashlight herself and looking around for traps or guards, giving a weird wave at them. Then she shines the light at Makoto's torso (to not blind him in the face). "You got an idea?"

After minutes of running, Rhuna brings Yeka to a bunker of some sorts. She opens the door through a password and carefully moves her in there. Rhuna stays outside the bunker, since she was going to go fight. For Yeka and her protection.

"Yeka, my love. I must go and defend you. I'll distract them, give you time. Because I love you. So please, do not go waste this time. Try to... well... find where to hide that is not this... bunker. If I die, my lord, my love, know that I'll always love you, even if death gets the best of me.

She whispered softly, gripping her own glaive tightly at her own thought of dying.

"Rhuna- no! You can't die! You can't!" Belladonna waited behind her and picked her up, nodding to Rhuna that they would try to find a safe spot in the palace. "Unhand me! Let me go this instant-! Rhuna! Come back!" She tried to reach for her lover, crying out her name in vain and eventually disappearing into the darkness.

Mercy was quick to pinpoint Rhuna's location, silently arriving and looking her up and down, assessing her strength and weakpoints right away. Her presence in itself was suffocating, a lot more than it used to be due to the increase of power.

"We need to free them, obviously." Matsunaga looked around at the computers for a lock system on the doors. "I haven't... touched something this advanced... in a while."

Iteral looks at the doors, a little confused. "I haven't something this futuristic in years either, how can we break the lock..." She scratches her chin a bit, looking at the others and going to one of the cells, looking inside. "They seem to be alive... I guess."

Rhuna watched with pain as she watched Yeka get taken away, but she didn't have a choice. She gritted her teeth, growling as she turned to face behind her, noticing Mercy right away due to feeling such a powerful aura in the air. She gripped her glaive so tight, it hurt a little. She knew she couldn't defeat this powerful goddess, so she could have to hurt her through words.

"Well well, if it isn't the goddess. The one who took her mother's life and took her place!"

She hissed, her eyes gleaming with terrible malice, even Satan himself couldn't compare to the amount of malice that was in her eyes at the moment.

Mercy kept a blank, unreadable expression on her face, walking slowly towards Rhuna with her rapier in hand. Her new powers didn't seem to awaken just yet, but they were evidently there by the obvious flowers growing in a crown around her head, even though she didn't notice it. The stars that orbited her spiked, then went back to normal, and spiked again.

Rhuna continued to keep a face of anger, pointing her glaive at the goddess, although she did plan this out before, so she was feeling quite hopeful. "If I die, I die with honor. I will fight until my last breath is drawn." She hissed, getting ready to swing her weapon. If Mercy got close enough. Even though Rhuna was quite confident, She was quite worried, her hand shaking in sheer fear.

"NO!" She snapped, lowering her glaive quickly and causing sparks to fly when it scrapped the ground.

"This is where you stop. You won't be going any further."

Rhuna then began to smile with wickedness, knowing what was to come. "Of course, the gods are your brothers and sisters, but not all of them love you." She started to chuckle as the aura in the air started to shift. The air started to turn cold, as if death was looming over both of them. As if their fate was being sealed...

"Oh, how I will cherish this moment..."

A voice spoke, but whoever owned that voice wasn't visible in plain sight yet.

Mercy looked around. She didn't recognize the voice- but the aura was familiar. "You..." She glared at Rhuna. "Worthless trash. I'm not going to be dealing with two nuisances. Begone." She stuck her arm out towards Rhuna. "Ark." And suddenly, Rhuna was encased in an orb of holy light that deteriorated darkness.

Rhuna hissed, feeling her energy weaken. "...go to hell. Have fun avoiding your fate." She whispered as she felt her power drift away. "Behind you."

Just then, from the darkness, a black cloaked figure that had their hood over their head appeared, cold air taking over the warmth. Her very presence could give anyone goosebumps and a chill down their spine. The mysterious person's chained black boots clattered as she walked slowly towards Mercy, holding their double-sided scythe in her left hand. She seemed to be wearing black gloves, and that was all anyone could notice on the person besides her cloak and boots.

"Mercy."

Mercy turned around quickly and blocked the attack with her rapier, blue eyes glowing in the dark of the castle. She glared at the newcomer, watching as her stars began to multiply to create her defensive field. "Auspice. Pleasure to see you after all this time."

She continued to confront Mona, not stopping in her tracks.

"As you may have, well, known, I have been watching. New head of the family? How fun. Shame, though. Gaia was a good woman..." Her scythe scraped across the floor, a hint of her purple eyes gleaming in the light.

"How does it feel being in so much power? Sad that I was cast out, but I think I will be known again by your family members after I take your life. Oh, their faces would bring me so much joy!"

Black demonic wings reformed on her back and spread out slightly, now feeling free once again. She was still many feet away from Mercy, but she could toss her weapon at Mona at any moment.
