"How do I pin down a goddess of that size?!" Iteral yelled, pressing against the hand as well. "Please work..." She yelps, as she grabs her wand and tendrils extend from it. "From past forgotten, and buried deep..." Tendrils attach to Mercy, Iteral, Kendo and whoever was in a direct line of sight. "Stop lagging behind and making us weep. Instead, attack and form a storm..." The tendrils didn't hurt but instead pull out something... the deepest fears and trauma, visualized in shadow form. For Iteral, it was Lucephion. And a heartless Mercy (four holes in her body). She hesitates, tears in her eyes from all that's going on, but then yells.

"DEFEAT MY GRANDMOTHER IN A TRAUMATIC STORM!!!" The trauma manifestations all swarm and circle around Gaia, constantly screaming in agony and slashing at her repeatedly.

Mercy coughed and turned away, though it seemed like she was trying not to laugh. "Where- Where are you learning these ridiculous spells?" A chuckle escaped her lips, and so she covered her mouth. Gaia wasn't affected by the attack, looking through the 'storm' at the rest of the family, whom she began to target instead of the girls.

The storm relocates itself, forming a strong current against Gaia and slashing and screaming at her repeatedly. Iteral huffs. as she keeps the storm active. "Magic is my creative outlet, come on!" She huffs, looking a little... disappointed. She was actually trying to help her with a powerful spell and she gets laughed at? To be honest... it hurt her a little.

"I need help pinning her down. This will never work if she's still free-moving." She stood on her broom expertly as it shot around the goddess, attacking her from different angles. "At this rate, we'll exhaust ourselves before we're able to exhaust her!"

"I, eh, can try!" Iteral yells, making a different pose and the storm now flows around Gaia and acts like a continuous ring of nightmarish apparitions, cutting and slicing everything in their path.

"Just be careful where you're sending those things!" Mercy narrowly avoided the ring, seeing how rigid her stance really was. It was the back of her knees- she needed to sweep her on her back. "Keep her in one spot! I have a plan!"

Iteral nods, keeping the storm up and even accelerating it a bit to make sure Gaia did not try lifting her arms or anything. She wanted to give Mercy a small boost in time but... no, that would cost a second or two and she did not allow her grandmother a single attack during it. "Go for it, mom!"

"I will!" She took her wand out and pointed it at Gaia's knees, and with it came a very sharp gust of wind like a kick. That seemed to do the trick, as it made her knees buckle and collapse, sending her to the ground. "Finally!"

"Cloudy, get them airborne!" Iteral shouted right before the colossal Gaia fell to her knees, as she kept the storm going. It seems the longer it took, the more she had to keep it up manually. "Mh... Mona, what now?!"

"Got it! AA-" Cloudy waved his sword, an aura of white surrounding everyone on the ground and pushing them up. He leapt out of the way as Gaia fell, creating a small thundercloud for him to stay on.

Mercy pushed Cloudy and his cloud out of the way. "Be careful, dear." She moved a strand of his hair out of his face and returned to Gaia. "Finally, we have her down." Even though they had accomplished that, Gaia was still making sure to attack them. Mercy thought to restrain her arms.

"You must... kill me! Mona! You'll never win unless you don't!" Mercy frowned, trying to drown out her words. No... She couldn't kill her own mother.

Iteral groans, the storm taking a hit against Gaia's head, attempting to enter her mind, before it went back to circling her arms. "Mona! I don't think we can... can we?" She looks over, the time witch getting closer to her mother. "There is a way without that, I'm sure!" She tried to help her against her grandmother's cries.

Rhuna continues to watch out in the distance, now licking her lips slowly as she smelt the brink of death of the guardians. Death was so sweet, but yet so bitter. The insanity slowly crept up to her as she watched the fight continue on. This was it. This was the end. "So close... so close!"

That was... until she realized they were losing the battle. Gaia was down. Rhuna's evil grin quickly turned into a scowl as she let out a low grumble. "No... no no no! DO NOT KILL HER, GODDESS! YOU WOULDN'T!" She hissed to herself as she watched Gaia and Mercy. Would Mercy kill her own mother...?

"Listen to me, and listen well." Her body was struggling to get up, but Mercy kept her down. "There is no other choice. My body is bound to fight you until one of us dies. When you kill me... Take my role. I want you to do that."

"What? No! I can't!" Mercy stood on the ground near Gaia's face, frowning and trying to reason.

"There's no time... If you kill me, hopefully my power will be transferred to you instead of that lamb girl. You can do it."

"No-!" She was crying, turning away. "I can't kill you! I can't!"

"You can, and you will. You don't have much time. Hurry." Mercy wiped her tears away and nodded grimly, summoning her rapier.

Iteral sighs, nodding. She was... not on that good of terms with Gaia but she knew how heartwrenching it sounds for Mercy to hear. Using one hand to power Mercy up again, she nods at her. "Gaia. Know that I never abhorred you like I let it seem. I apologize for the insults and thank you for being there for us and... I'll keep you in memory as a good one, grandmother." She could not help but shed a tear herself, nodding at her. She did not know if Gaia heard her prayer she did the night before but... it was genuine what she just told.

Rhuna started to growl, her pupil's dilating out of pure rage as she watched Mercy summon her rapier.

"No! No! You wouldn't do it, goddess! Don't do it!"

She continued to mumble to herself, her glaive forming in her hand as she continued to just... watch.

Mercy stood on Gaia's chest, aiming right for her heart. She continued to hesitate, thinking of everything that would come after this. She wanted to save her mother, and now she was being made to kill her.

She would never forgive the monsters who did this.

In a swift, easy motion, all three hearts were pierced. Gaia's eyes dimmed and closed, and she breathed her last breath. Her body began to disintegrate, replaced by petals of every king of flower scattering and being blown away. Mercy was caught in the middle of the sight, looking around at the petals. Her eyes seemed to glow in the dim light. Yekaterina pulled on Rhuna. "We need to go, right now." Mercy's aura seemed to change.

She had become the head of the celestial family and body.

Iteral held her hand on her own chest, to respect the falling of Gaia. "May your soul be well in the afterlife, Gaia. I'll put a memorial in your name." She whispers, then looking at Mercy and her anger starting to rise. This time, words of encouragement came out. "Let's finish this."

Mercy ignored her and walked to the doors, signalling for everyone to follow her. She couldn't think about that right now... She couldn't. "Come on, children." She called to them almost like a siren, placing her hand on the doors and throwing them open.
