"I just... if Matsunaga is jealous at me for being able to change the past but her pride is too much for her to ask, why do I get to suffer for it as well? I didn't even choose my time powers, I got them by accident." A different voice of hers told her something else. "... though then again, maybe I should not talk about jealousy... I envy you for being able to be this unhinged and still be liked. Especially by Mona."

He laughed.

"Do you seriously believe I'm unhinged?"

He turned to look at her, his azure eyes glinting in the light. A thin smile crosse his face. He closed the book in his hand, fixing his glasses.

"No, Iteral. I'm not unhinged. I'm just really, really smart."

Iteral looks away again, her mind back at the cottage... when Mercy was still dormant and Iteral cried her soul out on her. And now, she won't bat her an eye. "... I guess I am more envious than I thought... you're smart, can change time like me, everyone likes you..."

Iteral looks at him, nodding. "Yeah, those too... and the only things we share in common are the time thing." She sighs, poking the clock with her sword. "... that made me feel better." She lied, slicing the clock in half, the shadows leaving the clock and dissipating into thin air like smoke. "... maybe I should just abstain from using time... but Mercy dislikes shadows too, so... ehhh... I could attack them with... a rock?"

Kendo pulled a wand out of his portal. He looked it over. he sighed.

"I hate these stupid things. They go against all laws of science. Can't believe I spent 80 years in a universe, casting spells with this stupid thing."

Iteral, now thinking a little, attempted to distract herself. "I-I once met a scientist version of myself... she said "magic is just advanced technology and vice versa"." She pulls out her own wand from her bag, though it is rendered useless as long as Iteral remained that way.

Iteral looks around and gets a little closer. "... in my witch body... there is not just shadows..." She wraps up her sleeve, trying to see if there is a trace of it in her new body, but there was nothing but skin. She puts it back down. "... after Brighella broke my arm, I noticed something strange. My arm kept healing itself... kept reverting in time somehow. That's why it was in the cast, so none of you would see it." Iteral looks over to Mercy, she still looked great, while the involuntary swordswoman looks horrible. "... at first, I had a glint of hope. Maybe I am Mona's daughter and I could move stars... then I had a flashback. To... her. The auction."

"... back when I was starting out, I did a similar thing like now, tapping everyone's shadow. You might remember how Mona gave Scaramouche a part of her powers and he just wrecked house. Well, I did the same with Mona, somehow combining our magic... but my shadow, it acted sentient. It took over her..." Iteral looks through her bag and takes out a random picture of Mercy, then drawing over it with a black pen, glowing pink/white eyes and with cracks and flames of light magic.

"Lucephion. Within less than a minute, it killed off the entire auction hall, held back the Alphas and almost got the others hurt too. And Mercy could only watch. I did not know how malicious it was... and the thought of me turning into her is bad enough, I sometimes still see her in the corner of my eye. Whispering... I am waiting......"

Mercy listened to their conversation quietly, smiling and keeping her head turned away. She was sitting on the couch, staring off into space, though she was listening. A small noise came from her once the auction was mentioned.

When Lucephion dissolved and came back, it voluntarily shared the memories of it. I got to see it with my own eyes. And worst... I was never able to say sorry to Mona for it. I didn't want to stir up a bad part of our relationship." She sighs, leaning back into the seat.

"... I didn't want to do anything close to that. And the fact that one of our shared memories is that auction haunts me. All I wanted... is for her to approach me and say "Thank you for saving us". Or... well, nowadays, it's just "thank you" in general, some kind of affection or recognition... that warmth Caspian and you get to experience, I'd like too.... forget it. So, what do you prescribe?" (The italic part, she thought but did not speak)

He snapped, his outfit changing into that of a lab coat, a clipboard appearing in his hands. He tapped the pencil on his chin thoughtfully, before writing something down.

"I see... Inner demons, fear of becoming someone you are not... hm... I don't think this can be fixed by medicine."
