Caspian blushed a bit, and being the shy bean he was, put his hood up. “Y-y-yeah, d-dat’sssssssss m-me.” he told her. He wondered how Mama and Papa were doing back at U.A. He hoped they were well. And Eri too. He wondered if she was going for the hero course. He hadn’t seen them in a while.

Caspian seemed to get a bit less excited at the mention of school. He liked it a lot, but he didn’t like the people there. Most of the kids bullied him and the teachers didn’t do much about it except for one teacher. He liked her. “Ssssssschool i-issssssss f-f-fine. M-Mom’ssssssss feeling a l-little sssssssick.” he told her.

Aishling approached a small preschool. I can't remember the last time I got to be as carefree.

A little girl bounced over to her and cocked her head playfully. " It's not Halloween yet," she said, noticing Aishling's gauntlet.

She crouched down so she could look the girl in the eye. "Let's say it is. What do you think I'm pretending to be?"

The girl looked at her thoughtfully. "A hero," she said with a giggle and hurried back to her friends.

Aishling retreated slowly, head hanging. If only you knew...

I need to go finish my drawing.” He started slithering away to the art room upstairs. He was almost done with his drawing. It had taken him months, but it was finally almost done. “Bye missssssssss lady!” he said to her, waving his hand while looking back.

Caleb walked out of the kitchen with a coffee mug. “Nope. Some of us just got here. With all the stuff happening outside.” he said to Hana. He seemed unusually calm for a teenager in the middle of the apocalypse. Of course all teenagers were weird when it came to this kind of stuff. He sighed. “No more coffee.” He put the coffee in the sink and walked past Hana, laying down on the floor.
