Idk if this has been asked, but I recently bought the starter egg chip, thinking I might be able to hunt for scorbunny, but afterwards I could only hunt for oshawott, which was the starter I got. So sad, but is that supposed to happen because if it is, I practically spent 100k pd for nothing

I believe you need their eggdex entry before you can hunt in the tall grass for a pokemon. Simply hatch a scorbunny yourself and you should be fine
