Millie pulled back to look directly at him. "More times than best," she said sternly. "And more times than ever again!" She released him from the hug. "You get better, you hear me?"
There was a fierce light in her eyes.
Narrator
"Good." Millie smiled. Then she seemed to notice the newcomers. "Oh, yes- Mox, meet my little sister." She tugged on his arm, bringing him closer. "She's in town, and pretty lonely, so be nice to her!"
She poked him meaningfully, then turned to face the demons. "This is Mox, mah husband."
Marrie May
Marrie stuck her hand out with a smile, playfully glaring at her sister. “Don’t listen to her, I ain’t lonely! I got plenty ‘a friends!” She protested, shaking his hand.
“Nice to meet ya, Mox. Heard a lot about ya, can’t get my dear sister hear to stop talkin’ about ya!” She teased, sticking out her tongue.
Narrator
Moxxie shook her hand as well with a smile, laughing at her comment. “You talk about me when you’re around family?” He looked over at Millie amusedly.
Narrator
"Yeh're my family too, Mox! Don't short change yourself, this is your sister-in-law! Make n'effort!" She laughed effortlessly. There was something about her face that had changed in Moxxie's presence. An added light, maybe. Some inner peace or tranquility.
As she turned her eyes on Kai, it vanished. But the smile remained. "This gal's interested in I. M P."
Kai Marjorie
Kai seemed to watch them with a small smile, though it seemed her focus was on Marrie.
Why was her focus on Marrie? Maybe she just zoned out? Listening to the conversation? Sure, the Imp was interesting, and…maybe a little pretty, but there was absolutely nothing going through Kai’s head about her! Besides a maybe the little thought of friendship…
She looked over at Millie when the Imp looked over. “I am? I’ve…never even heard of I.M.P. I only got to hell about 2 hours ago.”
Narrator
Millie smiled in a mysterious way, then vanished, pattering up the steps. She was calling someone. "Loona! Loona, get down here!"
Who was Loona-?
That question was soon answered as an enormous werewolf lumbered into the room.
Israela Marjorie
Some time had passed. The screams had faded entirely. Israela honestly preferred to take her chances with the outside world now, rather than the crazy in here. She sat up.
"Mm?" Amirah's eyes flicked to her.
"I'm going."
"Alright. Good luck."
Israela left the way she came, shuddering a bit as the magic scraped over her spine. She took a final step into the bar-
And nearly screamed as she stepped on something squishy.
Kai Marjorie
Kai took a step back, looking up at the wolf curiously.
Was this one of those…I.M.P.s she was told about? Loona?
She held out her hand with a small smile, though she was slightly shaky. “You must be Loona! Do you..work here..” She didn’t know what words to use, “too?”
Marrie May
Marrie chuckled, standing beside Millie. “Newcomer ’s shakier then a newborn calf, ain’t she?” She commented amusedly, crossing her arms over her chest.
Narrator
"Che. Yeah." Loona's whole face appeared to be in a state of seizure, angry twitches running up her mouth. "So what, Millie brought home another stray?" She sneered and turned on her heel. "Figures. I hope you die on your first day."
Millie
"Ya sure do know how to pick them, sis." She elbowed Marrie. She didn't fully mean it, though. She rather liked the newcomer, even if she was a bit of a scaredy-cat! The idea brought a smile to her face. She always thought Marrie didn't like Mox- and it was real nice to have something to judge her sister over!
Millie laughed. "She's not much better than Mox, you know? Ma and pa won't be too happy with her."
Kai Marjorie
Kai huffed as she watched Loona left, arms crossed over chest.
She’d show them that she wasn’t some stray, that she actually had some use. She knew how to fight, just…not in this new…form?
She turned on her heel to the sisters, a look over determination shining in her eyes. “Where do I sign up for this I.M.P gig?”
Marrie May
Marrie rolled her eyes, jabbing Millie with her elbow. “What’s that supposed to mean?” She asked, before getting her attention turned towards Kai.
The newcomer seemed to be for energetic, what had Loona said to her..? She wasn’t paying much attention to the two, just Millie’s teasing.
Millie
"Eh? You really... wanna join?" Millie was struck right dumb for a second. Then she gave the new gal the biggest smile she had in her. "'Course you're welcome! We can talk to the boss right now and get you sorted, dontcha worry!"
She smiled at Marrie. You've really found a good one, this time, sis.
Israela Marjorie
Israela crept through the streets. The whole world was silent as a tomb.
But slowly, it came to life. Heads popped up, trashcans overturned, and then the world was alive, and the memories of the gore and tragedy were swept away.
Literally.
The demons withdrew brooms, mops, and boxes. Israela watched with morbid fascination as the assortation of limbs and heads were reclaimed and wheeled away. Some people even squabbled over the corpses.
She expected to feel sick, but really, she felt nothing at all.
Kai Marjorie
Kai smiled at the Imps, and albeit a bit nervous she was determined to prove herself.
But…She felt like she was missing something. Forgetting something.
Oh well! It could…probably wait.
Marrie May
Marrie watched the ordeal with her arms crossed and a slight smile on her face, but she was trying to hide it as she watched.
Narrator
The three headed upstairs, Millie chattering up a storm the entire time. She didn't seem to want to let go of Kai's ear for a moment. "So I say, 'you do your own dirty work, you cheap bimbo-headed-'"
But every now and then, she's glance at Marrie and give her a knowing smile.
The demons reached the top floor. Millie knocked on a door with a suspicious amount of graffiti labelled: THE BOSS over several words which the narrator would not be sending through a children's website.
Israela Marjorie
Maybe it was sick. But probably not. No, it was her demon form which was doing this. She was a good person. She never would have revelled in something like this.
Israela touched her temples. It was scary to realize just how little she knew about her own body now. Perhaps she could ask for help?
"Excuse me," she called. One little demon glanced at her, sneered, then looked away. He seemed uncomfortable. How rude. "I was referring to you." He didn't look back again. "I said I was talking to you."
"Stay away from me," he muttered.
"Pardon?"
"Stay away!" Suddenly he was on his feet and tearing down the streets. Israela watched, bemused, as he practically threw himself over a bridge. She came up to it and looked over the side.
A hundred foot drop into a lava river.
Well.
That cleared up no questions. It only gave more.
Kai Marjorie
Kai listened to Millie’s stories intently, occasionally commenting or laughing softly.
That lightheartedness seemed to be replaced with a slight, almost not there sinking feeling in her stomach as they came up to the door. “Are they in right now?” She asked.
Marrie May
Marrie playfully glared at her sister whenever she gave her a look, sticking out her tongue.
But she did find herself smiling whenever Kai laughed, she didn’t know why though. It was…an odd feeling.
Millie
"Hey!" Millie yelled suddenly. She smashed her fist into the door. "BLITZ, LET US IN, I SWEAR TO GOD, OR I'LL RIP OUT YOUR TONGUE AND GAG YOU WITH IT-"
The door ceded beneath her blow.
Millie contracted it guiltily. "Whoops..."
Israela Marjorie
Israela didn't know what to do. For the most part, she just hovered at street corners. All the little things seemed to avoid her. Was it a hierachy? Or did it have something to do with the woman she visited?
For the first time in this new life, she felt completely, utterly helpless.
Not even when those claws had closed around her throat. Not even when she'd woken up, a monster. Not when a fallen angel had raised its axe to smash into her chest.
Those were incidents. Not... passiveness.
Not a single person looked at her.
Kai Marjorie
Kai laughed softly as she watched Millie scream and break down the door. “I assume that wasn’t part of your master plan?” She teased, nose scrunched with her smile.
Marrie May
Marrie snorted at the comment. “Even got the newcomer on yer tail, sis!”
Narrator
Millie blushed. "Ah- 'sorry, didn't mean for all th'property damage." She smiled apologetically. "I just needed ta-" she whipped to the door. "BLITZ YOU GET YOUR STINKIN' FACE OUT HERE, OR I SWEAR I'LL CRUSH IT BENEATH MY HEEL AND FEED IT TO MOX!"
"I'm trying to get some sleep down here!" Loona yowled from downstairs.
Israela
"All alone?"
Israela jumped.
Kai Marjorie
Kai laughed, leaning against the wall. “You all are a more wild bunch then I’m used too, but you’re funner too.” She looked at the door curiously. “Blitz, Is that the boss of this place?”
Marrie May
Marrie grinned. “He is indeed, an’ I think my dear sister here finally managed to scare ‘im away!”
Narrator
Just as Marrie said it, Millie broke away and stormed through the door, yelling something about what would happen to Blitzo's legs.
Israela Marjorie
She went still. That voice-
"You said it was safe," she muttered to her.
"That it is. I did not lie to you."
"Why are they avoiding me? Is that because of you?"
"They're our inferiors. Of course they're avoiding us."
Marrie May
Marrie smiled, dragging Kai inside against her will. “C’mon, b’fore he tries to jump out the window!”
Narrator
Inside the room Millie had broke into was her and another Imp, seeking to be Blitz, throwing swears and threats back and forth with Millie. “THE HELL DID I TELL YOU ABOUT BREAKING [redacted], THATS THE THIRD TIME THIS WEEK!” He yelled, motioning to the…not door.
