hard decision...
my favorite pokemon is totodile, so it's my favorite starter as well.
but my first pokemon was squirtle, and that's why it has a special status under the starters for me..

so: squirtle :P

Thus far, Torchic is my favorite. Torchic is the only starter that I have kept on my team from beginning to end on my Pokemon adventures, and has been made even greater with Gen 5 and the dream world ability, Speed Boost, And even now, Blaziken is going to new heights with getting a Mega Evolution, effectively bypassing the Uber tier along with Lucario and Mewtwo.

However, Fennekin is a fox, and I love foxes. Therefor, I must see how well Fennekin does as a starter.

Idk why I like water starters so much...
Overall, I'd have to say Snivy. Idk, I mean, the Snivy in the anime had an attitude, and I liked that. Even though it was a female, I thought it fit Snivy the best (even though Trip's Snivy was a male). I even have a Snivy plush from a few years ago.

For almost each region I can't decide between Grass and Fire starter, but if I had to choose one, I guess it'd be Charmander from all of them.
As for each region it would go something like this:
Kanto: Bulbasaur/Charmander
Johto: Totodile/Cyndaquil
Hoenn: Treecko/Torchic
Sinnoh: Piplup
Unova: Snivy
Kalos: Fennekin/Chespin

Charmander, Torchic and Oshawott. Of the games I've played so far, Oshawott was the first water starter that I immediately picked! I tend to like the fierce fire starters, but since I choose a pokemon based on its final evolution, I decided to choose the one I did because I liked Samurott the most : )

(I haven't played a Johto or Sinnoh game yet : ( but I'd probably choose Cyndaquil from the former, and I actually like ALL of the starters from the latter)
