Mercy pulled Rūkasu next to her so he could learn his head on her and sat up, nodding her head in agreement to what Scaramouche said. "Wow, that's crazy." She glanced at Scaramouche for a moment, then went back to reading the news. Mercy began to drift her body over next to Scaramouche, leaning her head onto his shoulder.

Mercy snuggled up next to him, huffing and staring at his plushie. She could feel her eyelids getting heavier. Has she always been this exhausted today? She couldn't remember. Maybe it was the stress of her thoughts getting to her. She felt frustrated.

He had no clue how to help Mercy right now. Perhaps someone else who knew how to show basic empathy or sympathy or whatever else he thought he might need to understand at the moment would help better. But he let her just lean, continuing to mess with his plushie

In only a few minutes, Mercy had fallen asleep right there. Matsunaga chuckled, shaking her head. "I guess you're stuck like that for a while, then." She stood up and walked right in front of him, smirking. "Meaning I'll be taking this, thank you." She nabbed his hat and walked away quickly with it, laughing.

Matsunaga stuck her tongue out at him, standing on the other side of the coffee table. "If you want it, just take it back." She teased, placing it on her head. "Hm, I think it fits me better anyway. How'd you get your hands on this kind of traditional design? Aren't you like, a kid? Where'd you get this thing?" She turned around to adjust it using the black TV screen as a mirror.

"You really carry this thing around your neck? No wonder you're always so grumpy, I would be too if I voluntarily chose to keep this thing on me." She laughed.

Rūkasu sighed at what Matsunaga was doing. She probably shouldn’t edge Big Hat Guy on. Just because he remembered some things from his spiritual enlightenment didn’t mean that he still didn’t know stuff and didn’t act like his original self. He stayed snuggled in his blanket while leaning on Mercy.
